Who's Turn Is It To Throw Up Today? A Feb 2014 Wedding TR - New TR link 10/27!!

Once you get towards the backside of Tom Sawyer’s Island, there are some cheesy fake animals and other stuff to see.

This next picture is the “burning” cabin. I guess when MK first open this cabin burned. You can see the holes in the roof where the flames used to come out.

How funny that John was chosen to be Randall!!

That Haunted Mansion pin is adorable!

Great pictures from the Liberty Belle, I have never done that either!

I do like COP and Liberty Belle (HoP is nice when it's hot out and you need A/C! :lmao:) but they certainly aren't at the top of my list. To each their own!

You got a ton of great pictures from Liberty Belle! And that HM pin is adorable, I haven't seen that one before :goodvibes

I love the " first opening in 1971" feel that still surrounds that area from the very fake cheesy looking animals, to the cabin, the village, and the totem poles I will be very sad if that ever gets changed

Haha, I haven't seen the Laugh Floor in quite a while. I often wonder how often painfully shy people get picked to be on screen. I can imagine that would be a horrible experience.

Whoa. I think this has to be a first. HoP as the favourite attraction. Not just liked (which is surprising enough), but Favourite. Yup, he does indeed have a very different Must Do list.

I do enjoy the Liberty Belle on occasion. Such wonderfully archaic animatronics throughout.

Fantastic pictures!!!!
Haven't done that since 78' :thumbsup2

Def going to have to ride that a couple of times for the pictures!!! :thumbsup2

GREAT pictures from your ride on Liberty Belle! ::yes:: That and Tom Sawyer Island are attractions we definitely need to revisit as well. Actually, Brian and the kids have done neither, so it would be a first for them. We had fully intended on visiting Tom Sawyer's Island when we went in October, but with just half a day at MK, it just didn't happen. Next time...

The tee-pee's make me think of the Kingdom Keepers books. Going inside those tee-pee's makes the KK holograms disappear, so it is one of the places the Keepers go to hide from the Overtakers. :maleficen Yes, I am a dork, I LOVE those books! :rolleyes1

Caught up....again.

Funny they were seating one time but not another (we always do dinner, never lunch).

We were so delighted that we got to do the People Mover before it shut down (which I think was June 1 because I know we rode it two days and we got there on the 29th).

Love the Space Mountain pictures...very good (I was not sorry to miss that this trip; the line was too long and the girls didn't want to wait).

We didn't get to go to Laugh this trip...not sure why. We did however do that COP where Mary and I hoped to take a nap, but the darn thing was off sync the whole time and that song kept playing and playing and was very loud. :headache:

We've not done the Liberty Belle in ages; it always seems to be closed when Mark and I are there. I'm hoping it will be open in September for a change.

How funny that John was chosen to be Randall!!

It was pretty funny but not to him!

That Haunted Mansion pin is adorable!

I do love that one, I think it's one of my favorites now.

Great pictures from the Liberty Belle, I have never done that either!

I'm sure I had to have ridden it at some point in my childhood but didn't remember. It was a very nice break to our afternoon.

I do like COP and Liberty Belle (HoP is nice when it's hot out and you need A/C! :lmao:) but they certainly aren't at the top of my list. To each their own!

Yep, my brother is a huge history buff so both COP and HOP are awesome to him! I don't think the Liberty Belle was really a favorite, he was just like me and didn't remember riding it before.

You got a ton of great pictures from Liberty Belle! And that HM pin is adorable, I haven't seen that one before :goodvibes

Thanks, there were a lot of nice photo opportunities during that trip.

I love the " first opening in 1971" feel that still surrounds that area from the very fake cheesy looking animals, to the cabin, the village, and the totem poles I will be very sad if that ever gets changed

Yeah, it does have an older feel to the area and I'm with you in hoping it never changes!

Haha, I haven't seen the Laugh Floor in quite a while. I often wonder how often painfully shy people get picked to be on screen. I can imagine that would be a horrible experience.

I go into the show with both anticipation and dread because I really do not want to be picked to be in the show! I did end up on the screen at the beginning one time but at least that's really quick.

Whoa. I think this has to be a first. HoP as the favourite attraction. Not just liked (which is surprising enough), but Favourite. Yup, he does indeed have a very different Must Do list.

Yep, my brother is a little different. :rotfl: He's a huge history buff which explains the love for HOP.

I do enjoy the Liberty Belle on occasion. Such wonderfully archaic animatronics throughout.

I'm not sure you can even call the animatronics since they don't move? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Fantastic pictures!!!!
Haven't done that since 78' :thumbsup2

Maybe you need to add it to your list for October? Not sure that the kids would like it though, they might get bored.

Def going to have to ride that a couple of times for the pictures!!! :thumbsup2

Yep, lots of photo ops on that ride.

I totally understand why it didn't happen in October, just too much good stuff to get it all in! I haven't been out on Tom Sawyer Island since 2010 I need to revisit it too.

The tee-pee's make me think of the Kingdom Keepers books. Going inside those tee-pee's makes the KK holograms disappear, so it is one of the places the Keepers go to hide from the Overtakers. :maleficen Yes, I am a dork, I LOVE those books! :rolleyes1

You know, I got through the first four books but got stuck halfway through #5. I just could not get into that one at all. I need to go back and try to finish it.

Caught up....again.

Funny they were seating one time but not another (we always do dinner, never lunch).

I think it depends on the crowd levels. At Cosmic Ray's they were seating at lunch but not at dinner time.

We were so delighted that we got to do the People Mover before it shut down (which I think was June 1 because I know we rode it two days and we got there on the 29th).

Glad you got to ride it! We were really happy too that they delayed the rehab.

Love the Space Mountain pictures...very good (I was not sorry to miss that this trip; the line was too long and the girls didn't want to wait).

It's funny because I have no problems with SM. RnRC on the other hand is one I won't be riding much anymore. I find it painful and it really messes with my stomach too.

We didn't get to go to Laugh this trip...not sure why. We did however do that COP where Mary and I hoped to take a nap, but the darn thing was off sync the whole time and that song kept playing and playing and was very loud. :headache:

That would be annoying! I think I will be skipping COP for a while. I've ridden it pretty much all of my trips and I'm getting a little sick of it right now.

We've not done the Liberty Belle in ages; it always seems to be closed when Mark and I are there. I'm hoping it will be open in September for a change.

I've been there multiple times too when it's been closed. I'm glad John suggested it this trip.

When we finished on the Liberty Belle, we had enough time for one more show. I suggested either PhilharMagic, Country Bears or Tiki Bird Room. John and Jocelyn chose:

So we headed back up into Fantasyland.

There are multiple hidden Mickeys in that mural, here’s one we found.

I just love the carpet in the waiting area.

Once in the theater we quickly found the hidden Mickey around the stage.

There are also three hidden Mickey’s in the film. The first one is Lumiere’s shadow on the table during the Beauty and the Beast section. During the Little Mermaid section, Ariel throws some jewels out at the audience. For a brief second, one of the pearl bracelets forms the shape of a Mickey head. That one is really quick and I was the only one in our group that caught it. The bracelet was on the left side if I’m remembering correctly. The final hidden Mickey is somewhere in the Aladdin scene but none of us spotted it.

We continued our search for hidden Mickey’s in the PhilharMagic dump shop.

I also found the not so hidden Donald.

We still had a bit of time before our dinner ADR so John said he wanted to try the Le Fou’s Brew. I said sure I’d share one with him but he said no he wanted one all to himself. Mom and I decided to share one and he got one himself. Jocelyn was still feeling a little sick so she only tried a sip. John soon realized his mistake though. He thought it was real beer and that’s why he got one for himself! He was a tiny bit disappointed when he actually tried it. I still find it a bit too sweet for my taste. There’s no way I could drink a whole one myself but sharing with Mom worked out nicely.

While we were sitting there, I saw Gaston was out but his line was kind of long so I knew I wouldn’t have time to meet him before dinner. I did sneak a quick photo while he was meeting with other guests.

At about 5:15 we headed towards BOG for our 5:30 ADR and I checked us in. We had no sooner stepped onto the bridge to wait when our pager went off.

Don was the CM that greeted us and led us to our seats. He introduced us to his candlestick “Sam” and asked Jocelyn to carry him to our table.

We were seated towards the back of the ballroom under the large windows. I really enjoyed being that close to the windows so we could watch the snow fall.

I’m not a heavy drinker but I like to have a glass of wine at BOG because it makes me feel “naughty” having wine in MK. I was really surprised that John didn’t order a beer after being disappointed with the Le Fou’s Brew.

We started off with dinner rolls which are plain but still tasty.

Continued from Previous Post (Don't miss Part 1 on page 22)

Jocelyn ordered the Sautéed Shrimp and Scallops. She really liked the dish but was unable to eat much still with the way she was feeling. John happily finished her meal for her.

I decided to the Grilled Strip Steak this time and subbed Mac and Cheese for the fries. John had the same dish with the fries.

I really liked the steak although I still prefer the chicken dish I had in October. I was expecting the Mac and Cheese to be out of this world because everyone raves about it but I found it to be just ok. I’ll probably stick to the fries next time.

Mom got the Pan-seared Salmon and also subbed for the Mac and Cheese.

She said that the fish was delicious. She tends to order Salmon a lot. She had it twice when we were at WDW in November 2012 and was not pleased with either dish. I think the two restaurants then were Chefs De France and Raglan Road. She said that she had finally found a good Salmon dish with the BOG version. As for the Mac and Cheese she agreed with me that it was just ok.

For dessert I of course got the chocolate cupcake. A trip to BOG is almost a must do for me just for this cupcake. I really wish they had a stand outside the castle that sold them.

They had a special Red Velvet cupcake for Valentine ’s Day and that’s what Mom tried.

She said it was good but the icing was Strawberry which she wasn’t expecting. It was a little too sweet for her.

Jocelyn got the Grey Stuff Brownie which she ate every bite of despite not feeling well.

John got the Tropical Fruit Cream Puff which he also enjoyed.

After we finished eating, we walked around so the other three could see the rest of the restaurant. We visited the West Wing first.

Then we headed back across to the other room, is it the study? I was really surprised to see it open since I thought it was closed for dinner. It was pretty much empty in there, just one or two tables filled.

We headed up to see the Beast but the line was out the door and the CM there said it was about a ½ hour wait so we skipped the meet. We made one more stop in the Suites of Armor room because there was a hidden Mickey in there.

The book doesn’t tell you exact locations for the hidden Mickeys, it only gives you hints. The hint this time was just that there was one in the room somewhere. It took a while but I finally found it.

And then it was time to leave.

MK was open for a few more hours but Jocelyn was done so we made our way towards the exit. We had to circle around towards Tomorrowland because the castle was already roped off for Wishes. I knew I wouldn’t be seeing Wishes on this trip because my family is not fond of fireworks.

As we passed by Cosmic Rays on our way towards the Hub, I actually saw Katt again headed the other direction towards Fantasyland. It was so crowded at that point that she didn’t see us and we had to keep moving with the flow of traffic.

The MSEP started just as we hit Main Street so we had to stick to the sidewalk. Jocelyn wanted to make one last stop in the Confectionary to buy some candy for friends back home. As we fought our way down Main Street, I was surprised to see that the first float was the Tinkerbell one followed by the normal first float.

And that was the last picture I took that evening. We shopped in the Confectionary and I know Jocelyn bought something but I can’t remember what. I was still too stuffed from dinner to even think about a treat. I have nothing in my notes about the buses so I guess we caught one pretty quickly.

ROAR !!!!! "You eat my food and then walk out before meeting the Master of the House .a measley 1/2 hr pfffft !..Be afraid be very afraid when next you attempt to darken my doorway !!"

Food looks really good both the scallops/shrimp and that steak Desserts are always delicious but I disagree they should only be sold in BOG Jocelyn looked so much better even though not 100 % Cute carrying " Sam" Very cool the Hidden Mickey with the suit of armor I have never noticed it before

As much as I love Country Bears, I can't argue against Philharmagic.

Bahahaha, really, he thought it was real beer??? I just find that funny.

I love the décor of BoG so much. But seriously, a half hour to meet Beast???? He's the only reason I would do dinner there I think. I had no idea the line got that long.

I can't look at the stained glass mural and not giggle. Yes, I'm five.

Not sure how this happened, but I am like 5 or more updates behind. :confused3

I love your princess pose on SM. That is priceless. :rotfl2:

The HM pin is so cute.

I have to admit - I am afraid to try the leFou's brew (or however you spell it).

Beautiful pictures from the MK

How cool that you got to sit next to the big windows. That is my absolute favorite spot to sit in BOG. I think the whole snow thing is so cool.

The salmon looks yummy and the mac n cheese must be somewhat new.

Great updates.

I am finally caught up and have loved your updates and all the photos!! I have to say COP is a must do for us as well. I wouldn't say it's my favorite ride at MK, but it has such nostalgia. It was going a bit wanky when we rode it in Feb too.

I did not get to ride TTA when we were there! It wasn't running. I just assumed it was being referbed, but maybe it was just down temporarily. I love that ride! So glad you guys got to ride it!

I have to say I only go on IASW when we take our grandkids. I strongly dislike that ride!! Same with Jungle cruise. I know, it's a classic, but the spiel from the boat operator is just so cheesy and he gets ignored most of the time and that makes me feel badly for him and it's just uncomfortable. Okay, I'm weird.

You got some great shots of BOG. Dan gets the Salmon a lot there. I get the steak almost every time. The gray stuff dessert was not an option when we went just a few days before you were there. I had heard they put it on the menu, so I'm looking forward to trying it. The dessert you chose is my favorite! That 3rd room is called the Rose Gallery and we've eaten there for dinner 3 times. It was completely full the first time, but the last two times it was only about half full. We didn't have an ADR since we'd cancelled all ours due to my being sick, but we walked up and they gave us a beeper and within 30 minutes we were seated in that room. I love that they are still letting people carry the candlestick in. I got to do that our first time there, but never since, so I wasn't sure they were doing it any more. I think that's a nice touch!

I'm glad Joycelyn was feeling better and could enjoy more of the park and the food. I know exactly how she felt, poor thing!

Thanks for all the info on the hidden Mickeys. Some I've seen, some not. And I think I have a photo of Leotta with her eyes open. If I do, Dan took it. He's the official photo taker for us.

I love these updates. I never did make it over to your May TR. I'm just so behind with everyone!! Hopefully I'll make it over soon. You always have such great photos and stories.

Have a great day!

I missed an update! Can't believe I did that!!

Catching up.

I don't think I've done COP in a couple of visits. I really need way more time than I allow for WDW. Love the HM pin. It's so cute!

Great food porn from BoG. That chocolate cupcake looks divine. Now you've got me craving chocolate.

Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I want so badly to try BOG!!! I do NOT regret grazing the F&W fest for lunch in October, though. That was a Disney bucket list item I got to cross off and it was fantastic! :thumbsup2

Red Velvet Cupcake with STRAWBERRY frosting???? :confused3 Yes, that is indeed weird!

That restaurant just looks so beautiful... your pictures are gorgeous, Ariana! :goodvibes

I'm glad BOG was a success. I don't blame Jocelyn for eating all of the grey stuff, even if she was sick! Bummer about the long wait to meet the Beast. Great pictures :goodvibes

Hey there!

you just made my decision on what to eat at BOG that much harder!!!

everything looked so GOOD!!! But you did sell me on the grey stuff brownie.. YUM!

ROAR !!!!! "You eat my food and then walk out before meeting the Master of the House .a measley 1/2 hr pfffft !..Be afraid be very afraid when next you attempt to darken my doorway !!"

:rotfl2: I think if Jocelyn would have been feeling better we may have waited. She was ready to head out though at that point.

Jim had the shrimp and scallops in October and he also loved the dish. We actually both loved lunch in May and I think for now I'm going to stick with that instead of dinner. I've got to have my cupcake! That's why I wish I could get one outside of the restaurant. It's not worth waiting in line just for the cupcake.

As much as I love Country Bears, I can't argue against Philharmagic.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed to miss the Country Bears on this trip but I do really enjoy Philharmagic so it was all good.

Bahahaha, really, he thought it was real beer??? I just find that funny.

Well, it was partly my fault. I mentioned about how you can order beer and wine at BOG and I think he got BOG mixed up with Gaston's. He's not the crazy Disney nut I am. :rotfl:

I love the décor of BoG so much. But seriously, a half hour to meet Beast???? He's the only reason I would do dinner there I think. I had no idea the line got that long.

The first two times I ate there for dinner the line wasn't bad at all so I don't know what was going on this night. I probably would have waited but my family are not big on the character greets so it didn't really matter to them.

I can't look at the stained glass mural and not giggle. Yes, I'm five.

Well, I'll join you in the five year old group because it makes me giggle too. "No pants" prince is just too funny.

Not sure how this happened, but I am like 5 or more updates behind. :confused3

Well, I have been speeding this one up a bit because I want to get it done before my next trip in October.

I love your princess pose on SM. That is priceless. :rotfl2:

It turned out pretty good, didn't it? That was my favorite ride photo from the trip.

The HM pin is so cute.

I thought it was cute too especially since it has Pluto on it.

I have to admit - I am afraid to try the leFou's brew (or however you spell it).

It's not that bad, tastes mostly like frozen apple juice. It just a bit too sweet for me. If I'm going to have something that is overly sweet, it needs to be chocolate.

Beautiful pictures from the MK

Thanks, the riverboat ride had a lot of great photo opportunities.

How cool that you got to sit next to the big windows. That is my absolute favorite spot to sit in BOG. I think the whole snow thing is so cool.

It is a really nice spot. Next time though I may try to find a seat in one of the other rooms because I've sat in the ballroom four times now.

The salmon looks yummy and the mac n cheese must be somewhat new.

Mom said the salmon was very good. I think the mac n cheese has been on the menu for a while but it's normally served with the pork dish.

Great updates.

Thanks!

I am finally caught up and have loved your updates and all the photos!! I have to say COP is a must do for us as well. I wouldn't say it's my favorite ride at MK, but it has such nostalgia. It was going a bit wanky when we rode it in Feb too.

I have yet to ride it when it's acting up. I think that would be fun but then I'm a little weird. :lmao:

I did not get to ride TTA when we were there! It wasn't running. I just assumed it was being referbed, but maybe it was just down temporarily. I love that ride! So glad you guys got to ride it!

It was supposed to be rehabbed in February but they apparently moved the rehab to late May.

IASW is a once a trip ride for me. It has a lot of great memories from childhood but the song does get annoying after a while. When I went solo last year, I got stuck on it for a 1/2 hour and that was way too much.

I love that they are still letting people carry the candlestick in. I got to do that our first time there, but never since, so I wasn't sure they were doing it any more. I think that's a nice touch!

I think they also have a grey stuff cupcake that is only available at lunch time. I really didn't pay attention since I'm so obsessed with the chocolate one. I did try the grey stuff in October when the brought some for our anniversary but honestly it didn't taste like much to me. I wonder if they decided to open that third room since the restaurant has been so popular. It's great that you were able to walk up because I saw them turning people away the night we were there.

I'm glad Joycelyn was feeling better and could enjoy more of the park and the food. I know exactly how she felt, poor thing!

She was feeling a lot better and was pretty much back to normal by the next day.

Thanks for all the info on the hidden Mickeys. Some I've seen, some not. And I think I have a photo of Leotta with her eyes open. If I do, Dan took it. He's the official photo taker for us.

You are welcome! The hidden Mickey book helped a lot.

I love these updates. I never did make it over to your May TR. I'm just so behind with everyone!! Hopefully I'll make it over soon. You always have such great photos and stories.

No worries, I'm still not caught up after being off for a few months.

Have a great day!

Thanks, you too!
