Who's in for May 2013 code watch?

Am I remembering correctly that the previous % off offers were lower at Port Orleans French Quarter than they were at the other moderates? I was thinking the May, 2012 POFQ offer was just 10% or 15% when the other moderates were 20%.

I'm pretty sure the discount for POFQ for May 2012 was 5%. Really disappointing compared to the 20/25% given to other resorts. This seems to be typical in a way because it's such a small resort and easier to fill up.

This is the main reason why I've booked POFQ for now, but have it in my head that we may move our reservation to POR if the room-only offer is low for POFQ - we could save hundreds just by moving to POR (and still be able to use the same amenities).

Hi, I'm planning to go from the 20-27th and was just wondering how the weather typically is at the end of may? I know it's going to be hot but was wondering if it typically rains a lot around then.. I was there this march and it rained a whole two days and was horrible.

Count me in! I've planned two trips the last two years that we have decided to cancel so I'm hoping this one is actually able to happen! Hoping for a good pin. I haven't got one in a long time. :(

I'm possibly in! Right now we are booked for Nov, but may cancel. If we do, we are looking to go in late April/early May. We went in early May 2011 and LOVED it. Weather was beautiful and lines were very short.

Thats good news on crowds and weather. we usually go at first of June..too hot for us....10 degrees makes a big difference..

booked for may 4-11 WL(leaving college grad day and jumping on plane). waiting for a possible pin or discount but we are going come heck or high water....

So, I haven't booked our trip yet. Still deciding if we are going to do the dining plan or not. :surfweb:I plan to try to figure out where we want to eat to see if the plan will save us any money or not. Even if it's close, I will probably end up buying it, because we like the "all-inclusive" feel. Hoping for some good discounts!!! Would LOVE free dining!!! :wizard:

I have read a few people talking about weather. We have always gone the last week of May/beginning of June. It's hot, but we like it that way. We just drink plenty and try to stay in the AC (or swim!) in the afternoon.

Hope everyone is having fun counting down to our May trips!!!:cool1:

It used to be that the dining plan saved us a good bit of money. This year, I'm not so sure. However, I won't really know until the 2013 menus start coming out (with the prices). I went ahead and added the dining plan to our package because, like you, I like the convenience.

After the initial sticker shock of our vacation package, I'm okay with the price and know that we can swing it even if we have to pay rack rate. That's not to say that I'm not keeping my fingers, eyes and toes crossed for discounts though. :hyper:

I haven't read all the posts but I'm subbing for some May discount pixie dust!

Lisa-They have to go items at Cafe Rix also not sure if you know but the breakfast buffet at Pepper Market is a QS credit. It's a fab breakfast buffet so getting it for a QS credit is a fab deal. We love CSR it's very roomy and comfy. The beds are soo comfy. Give it a try!! :)

We are heading down May 24 after school-June 1 (maybe May 31 depends if there's any discounts) Not sure where we are staying. We will probably do 2 POR rooms or maybe 2 LM rooms just to check it out.

Unlike some it seems mine (all high school) have final exams on the last day of school. They usually get out by 10-11am though so we're driving down after that.

I'm in! I will be staying at AoA in a Little Mermaid room (as of right now) with my BFF from May 7th to the 14th. Right now we're booked with a AAA room-only discount but we're praying for free dining as we're planning on purchasing it for the convenience factor anyway. I have received a PIN code every month for the last year and a half so here's hoping that continues into 2013!

Thanks to my ebay sales, I've already paid $578 on our vacation package. I don't even want to think about the balance still owed. :lmao: Still hoping for some sort of discount to help shrink that balance.

Think we all are hoping for discounts in some way or form. Especially after new pricing came out.

Omg. How fun.

Count me in for a May trip next year. I have never been in May. We have been to WDW Sept, Oct, Jan and Feb.
My DS will be in college so now everyone has a different schedule. Looks like the best time for us to all be able to go. We are looking at May 17 - 25.
What are the crowds like mid - late May?
.....really hoping for a great discount.:thumbsup2

I went there last year from May 27-June 3 and it was busy but not super busy. It would have been about a 6 or 7 in a scale of 1-10.:thumbsup2

UGH...we are waffling about going in May. We would really need either a room discount or FD. If our dates are 12 - 20 what are our chances???:confused3
