Who's in for May 2013 code watch?

I called Disney Travel on my way home this evening to find out if they knew when the 2013 packages would be released to the public. Without any hesitation whatsoever, the castmember said the last week of July. Now I know that we can't always depend on what they say but she didn't pause or say "around" or "some time near". It was a definite last week of July. We shall see!

For y'all going at the beginning of May how are the crowds and heat? I live on Louisiana so I can handle high temps but I would rather not be too hot and humid. We usually go the first week of June and it's pretty crowded and hot. Really want FD but I know it's hit or miss in May.

Hello Fellow Louisiana Resident! We are in North Louisiana. Our trips to Disney usually start the around the 23rd, 24th or so of May and go through the 1st or 2nd of June. The crowds aren't too bad nor are the heat and humidity. In all of our trips to Disney (17 times), we've only been able to take advantage of free dining once in May and that was year before last. I so wish they'd offer free dining again for our travel dates but I'm not holding my breath. For the last several years, we have been able to book with some sort of discount though. I'll take any discount that I can get.

I called two days ago to make a RO res because well I'm so excited I just had too The CM was so nice and helpful offering things I hadnt even thought to request (ground floor, bed rails for DD) she assured me my room would be reserved for when I switched over to a package, (which she told me comes out sometime between July and August not as definite as yours!), asked all about our celebrations, congratulated us and added all the first trip for DD, birthday for DD and honeymooning for us to the ressie and that they would be there bright and early Thanksgving (we are prob adding a day!) and Black Friday mornings for ADR It's so nice to get some really nice helpful customer service, just another reason to love Disney
I have never gotten FD before I was just wondering if they do it and/or discounts will that information also be released at the same time as packages?

Alabama here ! Very hot here, too! We went this past May 2012 first week of May and it was just about perfect! Not too hot and crowds were fine. Hoping to go back May 2013. We did have FD and now may be only way to talk dh in to going back.

Another Diser that goes to SWW alomost every year says that the dates are usually released Dec/Jan.

Wow can't believe I found a thread of May planners. I have a cruise on the Disney Dream next May (the 5th-9th) and want to spend the night before in a Monorail resort and do a Monorail crawl with my husband (it's a couples trip.) I am thinking the Grand Floridian.

9 more days!!! I am so super excited I don't know how I will get through them. Let's just hope this information is correct.

i asked...... are you sure about that. ive heard so many rumors. he repeated "just check back July 11th".......i know not to trust them with a grain of salt but he did say it.

gonna book a pkg for first week of May...then hope for a GP room only discount. Maybe bump up to boardwalk or beach club from WL if we could score a 25% discount or so. never usually free dining that time.

got our flights already(ouch)....and first night at POR FQ since we are arriving late and no need for pkg for first night. gonna transfer bags to wherever and go visit DTD before moving to second ressie or even just make 1 big pkg if we could score a pin or GP discount...

Might be our last visit ever so we want to do it big within our budget.........

waiting for 2013 releases is not helping this planning process.feel sorry for people wanting Jan 2013 ressies and ADR's pretty much past the 180 soon. i think that may have an effect on release date.

Which is better? online reservations or call? thinking maybe calling and asking about any pins attached to our name when 2013 releases...

I wonder if that means you can only book by phone on July 11th or online too? Historically, they go live online on a Sunday which would be on the 15th. I sure hope that the CM you spoke to is correct!

Ok, I'm officially in for watching for May '13 discounts. I was hoping to run the half marathon in January and get FD like this year, but God has decided to bless with a little bundle of joy! Now, we are looking at going with my parents and siblings in May. And can I say I can't believe the price we will be paying at full price? Geezums...

BUT I'm ready to book, and I would love to see discounts as that may would allow us to do a monorail resort and that would be wonderful with a little one
