I guess I missed something. Why are you set on this particular cabin?
nzdisneymom said:Wew are set on 6116 because it's our favorite cabin - we love the layout, the location, the easy way to remember the number. We've sailed in 6116 on our first Med, on the Baltic, and on a surprise Christmas cruise on the Magic, and we sailed in 6116 on the Wonder in Alaska. We have 6116 booked for the second part of our B2B for this summer, but she was not available when we booked this one opening day, so we are in 6114 which we've since discovered is actually a connecting cabin to 6112. We haven't sailed in a connecting cabin before, but that has nothing to do with why we'd like to move - we'd like to be in 6116 so we don't have to move for the 2nd cruise, and because it is our preferred cabin.

HavinABlast, welcome - and if you want to add yourself to the Roll Call spreadsheet, the links to it are also in the same link in my sig.

Also, for those of you who have sailed the Mediterranean (or any sailing longer than the 7-nights) with Disney previously, was there more than one formal/semi-formal night? Also, what was the schedule of shows? Did they have the "big" shows on sea days? Wondering if our late dinner seating and longer days in ports will force us to miss any of our favorite shows. Thanks! ~Charlene

Maybe you could arrange a private tour to come pick you up at the ship and bring you back - just as you might do in one of the other ports? We were wondering what we might do on our switch-day, too - but as we've never done a B2B and we'll have had time in BCN pre-cruise and a day when we get back, we thought we might just enjoy the B2B experience and see what happens (while we stay onboard and nearly everyone else leaves).
Have any of you ever done B2B? What's it like on switch day?
We did back 2 back LA to Vancouver then Vancouver to Alaska in 2011. You have to get off the ship but can wait until everyone is off and then get back on before the new passengers. From what I understand in FL you dont even have to get off the ship so I do not know how it is handled in Barcelona. You could call DCL and ask. Some folks for Alaska got off in Vancouver and saw the sights making sure they were back on the ship by 3 to make the 4 muster drill.

We've thought about hanging at the pool that day, just to have a chill day, cause we also have some pre-cruise time in Barcelona, but we'll see.
Wow, I thought everyone had to get off. Who knew? How do they handle food that day, is stuff open if you stay on board?
