Who's in for GREECE and TURKEY, June 15 2003????

Hiya!!! hubby has made all the major arrangements regarding this cruise so I've been slacking off! I just finished the scrapbook of our 2009 Alaska Cruise with Princess and am now FINALLY starting the scrapbook of our 2010 Disney Baltic Cruise! do ya think i'm just a tad slow:rotfl2: just printed out the shore excursion info to share with our friend who is traveling with us. don't know if the 3 of us will be doing all the same tours or not! i see there still aren't any tours for Greece or Turkey yet:confused3 we've got a day in Barcelona pre-cruise and a couple days post cruise in Venice. Gotta start thinking about FE items too:thumbsup2 seems like it will all be here so soooooon:cool1: see ya!

I posted this on the FB page, but for those of you not there:

Guess what I got today??? :cool1:

Dining rotations! Nothing fancy...see below, they just rotate:

1. LAP
2. APL
3. PLA

And they confirmed that the 1st sea day (right after Rome) is Formal night, Pirate night is Mykonos, and Semi-formal is the night after pirate night.

I was also told...nothing official on when the stinking excursions would be posted, no idea on the cost of the photo CD, and there will be Tuxedos available to rent.

Thanks I do not have a FB page, nor will I get one.

Thanks Cindy, DH is working on our FE that gives the dates/ports time in/out for the ship. It will be a luggage tag so folks can attach it to their day bag. It has been handy in on past cruise. Lots of work so we hope everyone likes them! Also please do not duplicate our idea for this trip or DH will be mad at me for sharing!:rotfl2:

So this probably only pertains to me, but I got a call from DCL today that after my persistent questioning of the "youth" excursion ages, the Valletta for Kids has been changed to accommodate 3yos. They said the other "youth" excursions would remain 5yo+. Sigh.

Just put in my request for dining rotation 3 late seating

What is the tip amount per person for a 12 night the CM told me &12 a day which seems very wrong to me.

That is correct. $12 per person per day x 12 nights = $144 per person

Justhat, your persistence prompted me to call DCL directly to inquire about possibility of getting our cabin assignment changed from 6114 to 6116. While it's not going to happen, at least I have done due diligence and know the situation -- cabin 6116 is part of a family reservation that has three cabins - 6120, 6118, and 6116 - so there's no way that will change - and I seriously doubt that they will cancel their reservation - if it was just one family, one cabin then there might've been a glimmer of hope, but no such luck for us today. However, let me say how much I appreciate DCL cast member CLAUDIA for thinking to even check what the reservation situation was for that specific cabin. Up to this point I've called DVC and had them call on our behalf but was never certain what they tell the DCL agent, so this way I know for sure where things are. And now I can cross that off my list of things to do.

And Justhat, that's wonderful news for you about the Valletta for Kids. Your request was a reasonable one and they were able to listen to the needs of their guests. It's funny because when we sailed in Alaska, I wrote out a lengthy comment card (actually added some paper to it) and basically begged them to sail to Venice by summer 2014 so we could take Nathan on DCL there for his graduation trip - and here we are, a year early - I'm going to consider that they listened (LOL). At least let me believe that anyway pixiedust:

Wondering who has used Rome in Limo (or other private company) for tours in Italy and if anyone has hired a guide along with a driver. We're still debating Rome and Florence on our own vs. Disney. Also, considering we're in Florence on a Monday, which closes some things, what are thoughts on going/not going into Florence based on that? Thanks!

I would not let the museum closure stop you from going to Florence. There is plenty to soak in without seeing "the David". It's one of my favorite cities.

Hello! My husband and I are on this cruise along with some family in another cabin. We received good news today that we cleared the waitlist for the pre-cruise hotel stay!

I put in a request to join the FB group...looking forward to talking to everyone!

Welcome to the group.

It is 3 weeks from today that DH and I can book our shore excursions. This is our first time at platimum and right now as are the others in our group are waiting for the shore excursions for Turkey and Greece. :confused3
For those of you who have been in this first booking group from other first time port cruises has there been a time when your booking window opened up and all the DCL shore excursions were not posted? Just wondering.
Happy last Friday in January to all me fellow cruisers. Sue

I just checked to see when we could start making shore excursion reservations and it's March 2nd for us, so I put it on the calendar for March 1st so I won't forget. I love that's a Friday night / Saturday morning so staying up late to book won't be such a hardship. For our Venice cruise, we'll be up late Wednesday night / Thursday morning.

Are you gold? I didn't look at my date just curious if that is ours as well

Welcome Cameron991. I added you to the who's sailing list but you can add yourself to the spreadsheet - see the link here:
