It won't rain all day usually! It seems to hit around 3 or 4 in the afternoon for about an hour. And it's very scattered. It might rain in Epcot, but not at MK.
Jo - the bags you bought are so cute. I am with Shelly I like Belles bag. Vera Bradley was having a sale and I sent for a travel belt bag(like a fanny pack sorta) for our trip , then today I saw the cutest lil crossbody bag while in KMart so I grabbed it too.
I talked DH into buying one of those alumawallets(as seen on TV) while we were in KMart today, he resisted at first but I reminded him of how in years past his wallet as gotten soaked on certain rides.
I never saw the clip one that you bought for your DH. its really nice.
Jo...love all the bags and clips! My kids and Mike just put their cards all in my small VB wallet.. i am afraid they will lose them anyway! And we only take on CC and then some cash...especially if it's not our souvie day at DTD!!! I think I like Belles bag the best too!! i usually go for the brown stuff more than the black...
DH hates that ride. I'll probably end up taking our kids on it alone in the future. I suppose it will give him time to run across the park to grab FPs.
Your bags are very cute. It's about time for me to get a new Disney/vacation bag. Maybe Coach is the way to go?![]()
We never carried a backpack before-- we always just had a stroller that we crammed everything into. I miss those days- but don't miss them at the same time- it really frees you up to moooooove.Jo - Love those bags! I'm trying to decide what type of small purse I want to get for the parks.....so I love seeing what every one else gets and what works for them. I'm so done with carrying a backpack if we don't need to.
Good morning!
Happy 3 WEEKS Jodi!!!

Wow I can't believe you're close enough to start checking the forecast!!!
Jo- You're going to look awful silly wearing a mountain dew box for clothing since mountain dew is all you've packed thus far! Although it would be drafty and might help in the heat. Get packing!!!!
Shelly- Love the new scrapbook supplies and your albums! Seeing your pics makes me miss traditional scrapping. I barely have time to digiscrap these days.
You ladies are making me jealous showing all the cute bags for your families. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to carry their own stuff. It's still a stroller and backpack for us.
Good morning....or I should say good afternoon!
DSis and I drove our youngest kids (25 and 23) to NOLA this morning to catch a plane to San Francisco. We had to leave here at 5:00, which meant I was up at 4:00 to dress and drive to her house.
I felt like I was in Bizarro world being out and about at that hour! Mostly, I was amazed at the traffic on the interstate. I thought we would have the road to ourselves! So as soon as I got home, I took a little nap.
Jo, I love the new bags you and your girls have! We could have guessed which color you would have chosen.I really like both colors.
Are the suitcases down yet? (or up, or out, or wherever they have to come from)
Shelly, if those weather forecasts hold, then you couldn't ask for much better! If you ever see a high in Florida in August starting with an "8" then the weather gods are smiling on you! Those afternoon showers are usually quick and welcome. They cool things off and seem to chase away some of the crowds.....embrace them! However, if the forecasts are like the stock market, you are right....they will change 10 times in 2 weeks.
But nothing brewing in the tropics - that's the most important thing!
Okay, so I was surfing around the Disney Store site early and came across something that made me instantly think of Jo.....

Good Morning!!!!
Happy Two Weeks Shelly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe you can look at the extended forecast already!
Isn't there always a chance of rain? And you may not see a drop at all.
Regardless-- even if there's gale force winds... and a Hurricanado beating at the door of the resort.....
We're going to Disney World!!!!!!!!!!!!
This morning I am really feeling the excitement.
(I totally missed yesterday's countdown. Makes it go by even faster when you miss a day.)
If I could be in WDW right now I would be eating at KONA!!!!!!!! YUM. I can't wait to have those Macadamia Nut pancakes.
Seriously. I cannot wait.
Silly girl--- Shelly's the one that has the Mtn Dew packed. She can't live without it. But I'm sure she'd be able to make a nice dress out of the box since she's so crafty.
Me, I'm gonna make someone go out and buy me a case of Diet Dr Pepper from the store.
I love Mtn Dew, but I don't drink a lot of it anymore.
I was totally sick when I was PG with Drew and it was one of the only things I could hold down. Go figure. So I drank it- a lot --- and my FIL refused to buy it for me when we were around them b/c he said it was terrible for the baby.
When Drew was born- he came out already holding his head up.
We attributed it to the Mtn dew and called him Mountain Drew for the longest time.
Mtn Drew.
Does he like Mtn Dew??? I was a good girl when I was pregnant with DS12 and didn't drink much pop. Then when I was pregnant with DS9 I decided it was okay to have a Mtn Dew once a week. So on Fridays at work we would order out for lunch and everyone knew it was my Mtn Dew day!!!And guess who LOVES Mtn Dew? Yep -- DS9!!
And no-- the suitcases are still perched precariously in my closet of doom. The kids go back to school on Monday-- and I plan on hitting the packing.
You believe me, don't you??
Um, no.
Somehow I doubt it is. I'm halfway tempted to try it though.
Guess where I'm headed soon????? I have to go to Target.
Oh the agony.![]()
Shelly...sorry to hear about your DH!!! Just let your older son help as much as he can with the luggage and tip all the guys at the parking garage to haul it for you...lifting is the WORST thing when you have a hernia!!! It wouldn't be worth it to aggravate it! I am sure he will be able to do most of the stuff at Disney he would normally do....I guess you better bring a big bottle of Ibuprofen or something in case it starts bothering him.
DD woke me up at 7 throwing up this morning...I am exhausted!
AWESOME!! I love disney shopping too! If they don't have the cal when you go, I will buy you one when I am there in Nov, okay?! That'll be fun to shop for!!!
Wow, Shelly, 2 weeks!!!!! Today I'll be one of the first to say..........
I'm so sorry to hear that your DH will have to have surgery. But at least you have answers now, and he's not worrying about what it could be during your trip. Nothing's worse than imagining what might be wrong. And a hernia is something that is fixable with surgery, so it could definitely be worse. Did his doctors give him anything for pain in the meantime, or will Tylenol/Advil be good enough? He should milk this for all it's worth. Porters, bellhops, valets, the whole nine yards.
Nothing strenuous for a week! Maybe you could get him an ECV and get to the front of all the lines! Somehow I don't think your DH would go for that.
Anyway, I hope he feels great and hardly notices anything during the trip.
Thank heavens you don't have to cancel!
Yes, my DS is having a wonderful time in San Francisco. He decided after being there for just a couple of hours that he isn't coming home.I asked him how he came to that decision so quickly and he said that the city was beautiful, his cousin's place was awesome, and the weather was fantastic. (I can understand the weather part. He went from upper 90's and humidity to highs in the 60's) He has a tendency to jump into big ideas, though.
Not long ago it was Colorado he wanted to move to. Hey, I could have called him Mt. Drew!!
