What a great surprise, Jo! That little miss totally caught you off-guard, didn't she? Aren't you feeling blessed to have such a dear friend? Shelly, that was such a sweet thing to do. And Lord knows, you've had your hands full with Sir Pees-a-lot. 
I don't know how you do all you do - the planning and shopping for the trip (not to mention practice packing ), the back-to-school shopping, training a new puppy 
, all while running a house full of men! 
I am so happy for the two of you to be meeting up on your trips! And how great that your kids are just as excited to meet up as you! OK, now I'm ready for y'all to go, because the sooner you go the sooner we get to hear about it!

Shelly is great! What a nice surprise, that was so very thoughtful of her.
Congrates on the One Month too
I thought the Aloha show was worth it , the show was good especially the fire dancers of course we were in the front row so our view was not blocked at all. DH and My DSs enjoyed the dancing girls.
The food did not impress me but it seems they changed the menu since when I went and it looks better now.

I am up and Jodi, 'cause to say I'm up and 'ADAM' wouldn't be right.
We are full of excitement--- I tell ya, Shelly's present yesterday to the kids has gotten all of us in a tizzy.
My kids have all written letters to her boys and they have been mailed! 
We are so blessed indeed to have such a wonderful friend.
I think Shelly is Wonder Woman......
I am ready to go!! And.... I think I already have the title of my TR ready to go.
We'll have to see if anything happens during the trip to change it......
You are so close to leaving! Are you all packed and ready??? Thanks! We are wishing away the days for sure- but the kids start school in two weeks - so they aren't hoping for the time to go by too too fast. In two weeks school starts and then two weeks later we go to WDW. Can't beat that.

Why yes we do have countdowns going. In fact, they are all over the house......
Here's the one we've been doing since 280 days out- we color in a MM head every day!
And here is my Chef Pig-- he is in my kitchen and we always have some sort of countdown on him, or if we have company over he gets to say "Welcome". Right now though, he's a Countdown Pig....
And last but certainly not least--- Belle's most prized possession---- King Louie, The Woo-Pig Fluie, Hamthrax The Great---- She got him when she had the Swine Flu and it's been love ever since. He'll be making the trip with us to WDW so he has a countdown all his own going on---
As you can see-- we are thrilled.
Working on the rest of my Deluxe dining-- will post it soon!

Doing the countdown dance Deluxe Resort Dining---
Okay so let's see where else we have eaten--
Not too many other places! We tend to go to the parks for most meals, but have been to a couple others--
Big River Grill:
What we ordered:
Atlantic Salmon - salmon filet, flame-grilled, with dill butter and served with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables $22.50
Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich* - spicy seared filet on a baked roll with lettuce, tomato and Chipotle Mayonnaise, served with kettle chips $13.50
Belle had a Grilled Cheese, and Drew and MC shared a pasta dish but I don't remember what it was--- the Alfredo maybe?
Thoughts:
We really really liked BRG the one time we went. I thought my Salmon was one of the best dishes I've had on property. I also liked that you could walk up for a table. It was cold when we went--- like, freezing! And it was nice that we got seated right away. The waitress was a little annoying, but not too bad. I think it had more to do with me being cranky than anything else.
Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
Animal Kingdom Lodge:
Jiko-
What we ordered:
Barbecue Chicken Flatbread- with Apple-Jicama slaw, African barbecue sauce, and four cheeses $10
Jiko Salad - with Georgia peaches, crispy plantain, hazelnut praline, honeyed chevre, blood-orange vinaigrette $13.00
Oak-Grilled Filet Mignon - with hominy "risotto", California asparagus and Red Wine Reduction $41.00
(This is different than what we had when we went-- ours was served with mac n cheese)
Thoughts:
*sigh* This restaurant is beautiful. I mean, stunning. It is romantic and there is a really good vibe here. You are treated like royalty from the moment you walk in the door. The servers are exceptional. I learned a lot about Africa from them- one server told us all about the village he was from. It was so interesting!
The only downside for me---- I didn't care for the spices that were used in just about all of the dishes.
Something in them tasted peculiar to me and I was so dissapointed because everything else was superb.
That said--- I would definitely go back. It was a circumstance here of "It's not you, it's me." The food was not nasty to me- it just was..... strange maybe and may take some getting used to, I guess? I would recommend that people try this place, simply because others might totally get the taste of the food. 
Rating: 4 out of 5 (mostly for how much I loved the atmosphere!)

I'm actually a huge procrastinator so I'll probably be up packing until 1am the night before we leave, when we have to be at the airport for 6am. Actually, for our wedding in Cuba we finished packing the morning of...
I love that everyday you are saying one thing you would be doing in Disney. We have a countdown on our fridge, where everyday since we came back from the wedding in Cuba we have been saying X days until "Space Mountain" or something else we are looking forward to in Disney. We kind of ran out of ideas after doing it for over 2 months, so now I'm spelling Walt Disney World, adding a letter everyday. Right now it says:
"8 days until Walt Disn"
It should be completly spelled the day before we leave.

Jo...my ds12 had the swine flu too!!! And while he had that,my ds15 had a sinus infection and his throat was teeeerrrible...coupled with a gastrointestinal virus. It was a bad time at our house! I am so glad that 's all over!!!!! Love your countdowns and the pigs!!

These last 8 days are the worst. They are going so slow, and I don't feel like doing any cleaning or teaching prep work. I just want to be on the Dis all day!

We don't really have any countdowns going on other than on the dry erase board in the garage. We have it in weeks and change it every Friday!!
If I could be in WDW right now, I'd be in line for Space Mountain. I can't wait to ride it with Belle for her first time!
