Who's Gonna Have More Fun? Two PTR's for the Price of One!

Got my Disney Mail today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

And my new luggage tags!! Glad to see they changed them up this year. They are very neat and 3-D!

Still waiting on my Magical Express booklet! :goodvibes

LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

So now Jack is even smarter than you hoped! :lmao: You've got yourself a thinking dog! You should train him to do some chores and things. Of course, you might have a 200 lb. dog in return, after all the treats he would get. ;)

Are your boys having more fun playing with him now? I bet they are going to have a ball with him!

Your pics of resort dining are so cute! That's a great family pic at Kona Cafe. And I love the expressions on the boys' faces at WCC - you captured that perfectly! :thumbsup2

My Deluxe dining experiences...........None........OK, that was quick. :laughing:Jodi, I hope your absence means you're out shopping or something fun, and not still feeling under the weather.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: That made me giggle!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I am really thinking now about changing our breakfast at WCC to Kona

I vote for KONA!!!
June at DL is about 70-80, July 80-95, Aug 85-100. You have to remember it can be about 10-15 degrees less at the beach. "June Gloom" (fog/marine layer in the morning) usually ends around the 1st week of July. School ends the 1st and 2nd week of June.

Locals (APers) usually show up on the weekends in the late afternoons to check out the live entertainment and shows - there are nearly 1 million APers - thankfully they all don't come out at once. LOL! The Marriot is about 2 long blocks to DL entrance - they have a shuttle that runs back and forth. If you miss the last one, you can take the DL Toy Story Parking Lot shuttle (last one at 1:00 a.m.) and get off there and walk back to the hotel. It is across the street from the TS parking lot.

Catalina is a wonderful place to visit! Check out the boat ride and hotels here: http://catalinaexpress.com/

Sea

Thanks for all the info Sea!!!! I will keep it in mind and try to persuade Mark that a trip to Cali will be what we need!:goodvibes

It seems to work well sometimes. And then other times he walks right by it and pees on the floor. :confused3

Well guess what Beau did the other day? Sleeping on the deck--- snoring in a deep sleep- the little yip yap dog from next door came running out onto her deck barking her fool head off--
Beau jumps straight up out of sleep- and runs to my potted plant and lifted his leg and peed on it-- all over the deck!
yeah, he got fussed at.
How the heck can you go from snoring so loud the trees are shaking to peeing in a matter of a second?
Dumb dog.

Poopy dance :lmao:

Oh yes, I vote for Kona for breakfast!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info Sea!

So is there no sunshine during this June gloom? I'm thinking the temperatures in June sound good. Is DL crowded in June?

Do you know much about the DoubleTree or the Howard Johnson's by DL?

What is a good beach to go to? Huntington? Santa Monica? Laguna? Venice? I think we want to do 4 nights at DL and then 2-3 nights at a beach.....

Thanks! :cool1:

I know what you mean. DS9 definitely lacks ambition or something. DH and I joke that he will never move out!! :scared1::rotfl:

Either that or he'll move in with us......:lmao:

Yes -- definitely be glad it's now and not in a month from now!!! I was thinking we were missing the cold & flu season this time, but maybe not. :scared1:

Mark does know that he is not allowed to run starting oh about Aug 1st, right??? :rotfl:

Bite your tongue about cold and flu season....

Oh yeah--- he knows he isn't allowed to run. But he says he's doing it anyway.....:lmao:

I packed all of DH's shirts today!!!!!!!!:cool1:

You better get well soon so you can keep up with me!! :yay::rotfl:
WTJ?????????????????????????? I'll never catch up now!!!!!

Thanks! :)

Do you think Drew can eat the Big Kahuna? DH doesn't have any problems eating it all. :rotfl: It's A LOT of food! :faint:

That skinny lil dude? Of course he can't eat it all!:lmao: But Daddy can finish what he doesn't eat. Which will be 90% of it. Good thing we aren't going to a park after breakfast that day...... it wouldn't be pretty at all.:scared1:

Jo - glad you are resting, hope you feel better by tomorrow.

You can come to Montana with us :rotfl:, I know the year DH and our DS :littleangel: went to Montana the last time they also did a side trip to Yellowstone, its not too far away :lmao:

Shelly- Yay for Mickey Mail! I love getting my travel documents in the mail- that means that the trip is getting very close!

Jo- Sorry you are still not feeling well, I hope you are getting lots of rest!:wizard: To answer your question, we chose the GF to be closer to MK. We spend a lot of time there, and like to just hop over there, which is very easy with the monorail! Plus, DD9 has been asking to go back to the GF for a while, so we made her very happy by switching! I can't wait to get there!:yay:

Jo- Hope you're feeling back to "normal" again soon. You'll never be normal in my book since you eat warm PB!

Shelly- Hooray for Mickey Mail!!!! Congrats on starting to pack already! Be careful little old Jack Jack doesn't sneak in there. Your luck he'll pee in the bag. You'll be in trouble at the airport for having a dog AND for having more liquids in there than they allow.

Well that is good to hear!! It's always helpful to have another trip to plan! :thumbsup2

Jack is doing well. The house-training is going much better. We have a bell on the door for him to ring when he needs to go out. So when he does that and goes out and does his business he gets a special treat when he comes in. So he has that all figured out and now he is ringing the bell just to run out and then back in and is expecting a treat. :upsidedow

That's so funny about the bell. He'll get the hang of it eventually!

Hope you guys are doing better today!:goodvibes

We are! I hope you feel better soon too!

We've done Ohana (B) and 1900 Park Fare (D). I think that's it. We've grabbed something at the CS at the Poly once too...I think.
I'm going to have to try the grab a little bit of everything at buffets, because I usually pile my plate with stuff I think I'll like, then end up with a full plate of stuff I didn't eat.

Shelly - I'm sorry you didn't enjoy WCC. It's one of the places I really want to try. We probably will anyways, since we're hopefully staying at the Wilderness Lodge, but we shall see. I'm sure DH will like it...he likes everything...

Yeah, I'm sure his "liquid" would exceed the limit!! :scared1::laughing:

I sure hope so!! :wizard:

I'm glad you are all feeling better.

I'm sure your DH will love the food at WCC. And it is a fun time there!

:yay::yay: Yay for Mickey Mail!!!! I love the new luggage tags!!

Thanks!! :cool1:

Now let's move onto the Epcot area deluxe resorts dining....

Beach Club:

We had breakfast at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club in May 2008. The food was good. There was lots to choose from, but it was nothing like Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's. I hear lots of people say they love it and have had great service, so we must have just been unlucky. Our waitress was awful. Just no personality. Not very attentive. The characters were cute in their beach attire.

We went to Cape May for dinner last year and loved it! We had steered clear of the place over the years because none of us eat seafood except for DH and he doesn't eat all that much of it. For some reason I looked at the menu online last year and decided that it had enough “regular food” and we should give it a try since we were staying in the area. I'm glad we did!

We went to Beaches & Cream on our last evening last November. I had been wanting to try it for quite some time. It is very neat in there and we had a nice time. The food was just average though.

Boardwalk Inn:

We have been to Big River Grille at the Boardwalk the last 3 trips. It has been fantastic each and every time. They are very accommodating to DS9's eating issues. They even once made him a grilled cheese with no cheese! Service is good, portions are big, and the food is great! :goodvibes

We had dinner at Kouzzina's last November. We went without an ADR and were able to get right in. DH enjoyed his meal, but mine was not good. A little too funky for me I guess!

DH and I got some sandwiches from the BWI Bakery one day for lunch. They were okay, certainly not great.

We got a pizza from the BWI Pizza Window one evening last year. It was very good! Not your typical WDW pizza you find in the parks.

This time (as of right now) we have no plans to dine in at any of the Epcot area resorts. But you never know!

Great Epcot dining reviews so far! I love the pics of your boys (all 3 of them ;)) at Cape May. It looks like a really fun place to go. You are always so good about giving places you didn't like a second chance. I had to laugh when you said they had "regular food". I could not survive without seafood! I'm in trouble when a restaurant doesn't have seafood. I could totally give up beef (well, maybe not an occasional filet mignon ;)) if I had a good supply of shrimp, crabs, and crawfish.

Beaches & Cream looks like a cute place, too. Too bad the food didn't measure up. Although it doesn't look too bad in the pics!

Sounds like you have a hidden gem with BRG. That's great how they are so accommodating to find something your DS will like. The food looks delish - especially the shrimp!

OK, now for my Epcot deluxe resort dining experience........None! :sad2:

Thanks Teri! :)

Shrimp, crabs, and crawfish --:eek::eek: Don't like any of them!!:scared1:

Oh yes, you must get to BRG next time you go to WDW. It definitely is a hidden gem! I just know you would love that shrimp pasta meal my DH likes!! ::yes::

I have no idea what the heck those dishes are that you had at Kouzzina's, but "funky" sounds like a tactful description.

On the other hand.......those sweets and pastries look scrump-delish-iosis! Is that a funnel cake underneath that huge block of what looks like ice cream topped with what looks like chocolate sauce? :faint: Please tell me y'all didn't finish that thing off! I do love funnel cakes, and plain is sweet enough for me! They remind me so much of beignets. It is probably the same batter, maybe beignets are just puffier. :confused3

I would have had a hard time deciding between all those pastries at Seashore Sweets. Itlooks like your DS12 had a hard time, too! ;)

Funky is putting it nicely  -- lamb shank and flank steak.

Between the BW Bakery and Seashore Sweets we sure weren't lacking for yummy treats!! :cloud9:

No -- we didn't finish that funnel cake with the ice cream and syrup. It was a bit much!!

I cannot look at a bone sticking out of food! I feel better knowing that other dish was flank steak. ;) I had no idea what that thing was! It almost looked like a giant sweet potato!

All this talk about sweets is pulling me towards my freezer where my Sweet Freedom ice cream bars are calling my name!
