Who's Gonna Have More Fun? Two PTR's for the Price of One!

If they like Legos, they'd probably enjoy it. Of course, my sister took a picture of my nephew climbing into a giant bin of legos, and they'd probably be too big to do that...
It is expensive - around the same as a ticket to Disneyland. I tried to convince my sister to save her money and not drive down there, but she went anyways, and I think they had a good time. Her in laws paid for their Disneyland tickets, and my sister thought that Legoland would be more fun for my nephews. Since they didn't have to pay for both, I guess it was a good choice.

DS9 LOVES Legos! He can sit and play with them for hours. He can make anything out of them. The other day he made the Poly with the monorail attached. It was so cute!! Once he made the BWI slide - clown and all! :rotfl:

My baby boy has to go in for his shots next week. Poor kid gets to celebrate his birthday with pain and sickness. He's enrolled in Baskin Robbin's birthday club, so I might take him for his free scoop of ice cream to dull the pain.:lmao: In reality, he'll probably be super cranky that day, so we might not do his actual birthday stuff until the weekend.

Aw, poor kid! Hopefully the ice cream will make it all better. It usually makes things better for me. :thumbsup2

Shelly, Jack's pics are precious! What a cute little stowaway in your carry-on! And the one of him sleeping is too sweet! If he was that good at the vet's office, then I would take that as a sign of good things to come. I think you've got a winner!

I have no idea what the crowd numbers were for us on any of our trips, but those numbers Jodi posted sound very good! I would think anything 5 or below is very manageable.

So you girls are already planning a trip out to California (or further :faint:) and you haven't even taken this trip yet! To say I'm jealous is putting it mildly. I think I need a chocolate ice cream bar to get me through this night. My beach vacation seems so long ago. I need to start planning something!!

Thanks Teri!! :goodvibes Where have you been hiding? It seems like we haven't talked for days. Maybe it's just my imagination!! :upsidedow I was about to PM you. :rotfl:

Yep, Jack did great during the shot, but he is still so sore. :sad2:

Yeah, the crowd numbers aren't too bad. :thumbsup2 I was hoping for more 2's & 3's and less 4's and 5's, but what are you gonna do?!

Ooohh an ice cream bar sounds yummy right about now!! Too bad I already had a blizzard from DQ earlier!

Good Morning!!!

I thought they were very good too! Labor day is the biggest crowd- and even at a '6', that's not bad AT ALL. I think when we go in May a lot of times is between 4-6 on their scale. So I'm happy.

So what are the parks after the numbers? I take it those are the parks to go to that day.....Or are they the parks to avoid?

Poor little Jack Jack. IS he better today???

Jack is still pretty sore today. :sad1:

California/graduation.........:lmao: You push me, I push you. It's what we do.:upsidedow
:rotfl:

Yep -- it's what we do!! ::yes::

I'm thinking now though that Spring Break might not be a good idea--- we want to go to Laguna again and I think it would be too cold.
Summer time looks better to me now. After July 4th or either June. but I don't want to get into June Gloom.... that was BAD.

Wll DH and I were talking tonight and we decided that -- we might go to DL in 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1::cool1:

Okay, so go tell Mark the CA trip is being moved up a year! :thumbsup2 It can be a -- "You're going to be a senior" trip for MC. :rotfl:

Yep- I think we timed ours from the Fairfield at 6 minutes so 8 min from HoJo is probably right on.

That sounds wonderful!! :goodvibes

40 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:dance3::yay:

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8 minutes from the hotel to when you're ready to walk into the partk through securty is probably pretty close! It's really close!!! :thumbsup2

Great! :)
Now you guys are making me want to go to DL, but it's even more expensive flight wise than WDW!:rotfl:

Me too!! So much so that we are talking about moving it up to next year!! :faint: Hopefully I can find some decent airfare.

Good Morning everyone!

I'm lying in bed with a bottle of water, some OJ and mounds of covers and my computer.............. I'm sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it!! I took Belle to see Winnie the Pooh last night and in the middle of the movie I started with this awful sore throat and chills and headache.

Came home and sure enough--- temperature and everything! How the heck does one get sick in the summer??? I'm hoping it isn't strep-- I don't think it is b/c I'm too old. (Be quiet Shelly I hear you laughing....;)):lmao: And my head is all congested. So I really think it's a nasty virus of some sort. gross!!!

Oh well guess that means I have to relax all day and think about the trip.....:cloud9:

39 days!!!!

:cheer2: 40 Days :cheer2:

:goodvibesThanks for my dance!!!:goodvibes

I know, I can at least start my brain rolling on a future trip. And in the meantime, I can go on virtual trips with you and Shelly.

That chocolate bar was dee-lish, thank you! In fact, I just had another one. But before you start to thinking that I have this wild and crazy side that I never told you about, I will admit that they are Sweet Freedom 100 calorie chocolate covered vanilla ice cream bars. And I highly recommend them!

T-Minus 40 days and counting!!! Unbelievable!!
OoOh I have had those and you are right they are yummy!!!! Skinny cow is wonderful too, if you've never tried those.

And yep---virtual trips are great--- you spend less $$ that way.:lmao:

Now you guys are making me want to go to DL, but it's even more expensive flight wise than WDW!:rotfl:

I hope you get to go to DL!!!!:goodvibes

Aw, Jodi, I'm so sorry to hear that you're sick! I hope they're waiting on you hand and foot over there! You just stay in that bed and let them, cause you need to knock that bug out ASAP. I don't know about you, but I never, ever run fever! (Maybe I'm too old for fever ) I can feel like death warmed over, but no fever. :confused3 The bright side is you don't have babies who need your attention every minute or a new puppy who needs to be taken out every hour so he doesn't pee everywhere. (sorry, Shelly :guilty:) So just take care of yourself!!

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the movie? ;)

And at least you have your Naner friends there to dance for you! Woo-hoo for the 30's! :woohoo:

Great! :)

Me too!! So much so that we are talking about moving it up to next year!! :faint: Hopefully I can find some decent airfare.

WHAT THE JOKE??????;)

You can't go in 2012. I SAID we are taking 2012 off, and we would do 2013!!
:confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3

Okay let me see what I can do.:rolleyes1

Shelly - I am so excited for you making your first trip to DL

We went the beginning of June and IMO the weather was perfect 70's to 80's nice breezes , the sun was hot but we all loved it and DL was not overly crowded. I would like to go back the same time of year again.

You guys got me wanting to go back too , only thing we are suppose to be going to Montana next year but I am thinking since I want to drive next year, you see I do not like the rather small plane one has to take from Minniapolis(sp) to Bozman so all I have to do is some research and maybe I can talk DH into driving a lil bit further west :rotfl:

One good thing about being retired at least there are no time restrictions on how long we can be away for. That is what bugged me when we drove to WDW having to use 4 days to get there and back which left less time to actually be in Disney.

I really want to do the cruise to Canada too now that Rinky got me looking into cruises.

So many places to go , so little time

Jo - Oh No....not a summer cold I hate those. Isn't it terrible when you feel yourself getting sick then sicker by the hour until bam you can not move.

Wishing you get better quickly. Water and OJ should help keep you hydrated.

Hi Teri!!!!
Awww, thanks so much for the well wishes.
You are so sweet. ::yes::

You know I usually DON"T get fever-- my body temp normally is 99.9. And when I get sick- it drops to 97.:confused3 That's one way I know I am sick- when it drops. This time--- yikes. It's not high--- just 100.3 but it's certainly enough to make me feel gross.
When I was young I got strep at least twice a year and most all the time never had fever. Weird. Drew Boy is the same way-- he gets strep every year and doesn't run fevers.
The only way I know it's strep with him is when he gets a stomach ache.
Mark got up first thing this morning and went to the store for OJ for me. So yep--- they are taking care of me.
MC made cinnamon rolls and I had one with a handfull of pills. So I'm acting like the Queen of Sheba, holding court from my bed.

The Movie was okay-- geared to preschoolers mostly and I was ready to go. But it was only 70 minutes long so it wasn't bad.
There was this bitty little girl in front of us and she would squeal and giggle and even stood up to dance once in the move. I enjoyed watching her reaction so much! I thought, wouldn't it be great if everyone could be that excited and totally in heaven over everything, even as adults and not lose that reaction?
I'd be all----
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Squeal giggle ...... over a lot of things-
mostly purses and shoes.

And pastries.

Hi Sheila-- thanks so much for my well wishes! I just don't get how one gets sick in the summer. And I take 1000 mg of Vit C a day.:confused3
ugh.

We went to DL the last weekend in May and it was freezing! Stayed over into the first week of June in Laguna and it was a little better- our hotel was on the beach. But we had to buy heavy sweaters for ourselves in DTD to walk around in at DL b/c I'd only brought capris to wear.

Maybe Sea can answer some questions for us--
Sea--- what's the normal temp in June there? And when does June Gloom disappear? And when do the kids get out of school there? And when do the locals show up in June-- is it mostly on the weekends?????? And the Mariott convention hotel--- I know you've stayed there--- can you walk to DL from there? I'd hate to have to drive it.
(I also have ??'s about Catalina Island..........:cloud9:)

It was freezing when you were there geez sure glad it wasn't when we were there or we would have had to buy jackets too since we went to Vegas first and let me tell you it was hot there so hot you could not go out during the day, I thought I was gonna die the day my DS got married, anyhow we had no jackets with us.

I know the Friday or Saturday night we were staying at DLH there was a prom or some type of event going on in their ballroom/convention center? So it was a bit noisy if you opened the sliders

Wow!! You both have it all figured out. DH,DD5,DS1, and I will be at WDW from August 18th-August 29th. We can't wait. Enjoy Your Trip!!

Oh no, you're sick!! :scared1: Good grief. How did that happen? Kind of like DS's bronchitis in June. Crazy.

I hope you feel better soon. We've still got lots of planning to do!!

YAY for 39 days!! That must make me at 33!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

I hope you get to go too!! :wizard: You are lucky with no time restrictions!

We could definitely do June. We usually get out of school the second Friday of the month. I just want to go when it will be the least crowded!

Yeah Sea -- what she said!!! :rotfl:

What is the weather like in mid June? How are the crowds? When does school get out? What's the best hotel? And the best beach???

:yay:

I hope you enjoy your trip too!

Jo...Hope you feel better today!! Some of the worst times I have been sick have been in the summer!! And my body temp is always high too...when I was a kid, mamma knew I was sick if my temp dropped to 97...then I would spike to over 100.....
Just think...get it over with now!!!!

:rotfl2:

There's something nasty going around here right now. DH, the baby, and I skipped church yesterday, because we were all sick. I mostly had it on Saturday, but I had to stay home with the baby yesterday, because he woke up with a fever. Poor kid!
I hardly ever run fevers either. However, my body temperature is usually a touch lower than normal. Unfortunately, my baby boy got his Daddy's genes for sickness, because he gets fevers. Luckily, not very often, and yesterday's went away quickly, but I feel bad for him.

I still get pretty excited about certain things. Sometimes I even jump up and down squealing...:rolleyes1 especially when I'm around my sisters and some of my friends -- they bring it out in me.

Good morning. :goodvibes I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was another hot one here. :faint:

How are you feeling today Jodi?

I hope everyone is feeling better at your house Becca. :wizard:

I brought my suitcases up from the basement this weekend and I am ready to pack!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

Should we move onto Resort Dining?

We have lots of Deluxe Resort Dining experience! So I think I will break this one down into several days of posts.

Let's start with the MK area deluxe resorts...

Contemporary:

We have been to Chef Mickey's 4 times! That's the most we've been to any WDW restaurant I think. We have done dinner 3 times and breakfast once. All were very good. I think I prefer the dinner though. It's always a wild & crazy and fun time in there. The characters are great and the service is good too. We skipped it last year, but are headed there this time!

Polynesian:

We had breakfast at Ohana once. We had a very early ADR, something like 7:45 I think. We had a very nice time, the food was good, the characters were a blast, and we were able to get to MK before rope drop! We are going to try dinner there this time.

100_3672.jpg

We have had breakfast at Kona Cafe twice. I don't even care for breakfast, but let me just say – they have the best ever!!! Tonga Toast  We have all been very pleased with our food. We can't wait to get back to Kona for breakfast this trip!

Grand Floridian:

We had dinner at 1900 Park Fare a few years back. I had always wanted to do a princess meal and without having little girls I couldn't see dragging the boys unwillingly to the castle for a meal! :rotfl: So I figured 1900 PF might be the best option with the step-sisters. I was right! The boys had a blast. The step-sisters were hilarious. The food on the other hand, not very good. It was edible, but not great by any means.

Wilderness Lodge:

Whispering Canyon Cafe – sad to say I am not a fan. I knew going in that this place gets mixed reviews. We went in hopeful for dinner one evening a few trips ago and were disappointed. The kids had a blast and thought it was the funniest place ever! Especially when they brought us 10 bottles of Ketchup! But they hated their food, and so did DH & I. I was feeling so sick by the time we left there, so we asked for our desserts to go. Luckily I was feeling better later and was able to enjoy the dessert and it was very good!

Good Morning -

No Jo yet? She must be getting some much needed rest. Feel Better Jo!

Shelly - how exciting time to get packing

Guess what I discovered yesterday? Give up? Look at my ticker.............along the bottom of my ticker it has a week counter, Mickey is almost to 12 weeks, he should be there on this Wednesday

Shelly - You sure are fast, by time I posted you had added a dining review :rotfl:

We did Chef Mickey's years ago but I can not remember if we did B or D :rotfl:

Have never done 'Ohana or Kona but like you are trying 'Ohana for dinner this trip. I am still considering maybe making an ADR for Kona.

I decided since I may never get to GF to stay there I am breaking my pledge to not go there until I stayed there and booked 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, haven't told DH yet but he likes buffet breakfasts, maybe I should change to GF Cafe? I just do not know what to do. Life would be easier if I had a lil kid to take along :rotfl:

I love the pic of your boys at WCC, they both look so happy it made me smile.

When we stayed at WL before we ate at WCC and enjoyed the food I could do with out the loudnest , that being said at this point I have 3 ADRs there for October.

When JB changed our flight I decided to book lunch there on arrival day.
I made a breakfast ADR for our last day since for now I left that morning "free" to decide once we are there.

And I have one for the night we plan to do MNSSHP, I wanted something around 5 and thought booking WCC would allow us the most rest time before the party that night.

I hope I have not made mistakes:confused3
