Who's going to the block parties?

Hey neighbors! Any "Dis"VC'ers headed to the block parties this summer? which ones?

We will be at the last one in July.

We may go to the one on July 12th. No promises though, we might just be too busy at the pool. LOL

The very last one is the one we'll be there for, we'll see if we make that. We are going to the MC party as well.

We're gonna try and make the Aug 9 one !
rbuzzota, the Member block parties are taking place every Tuesday July 5 thru Aug 23 at Pleasure Island. It's from 5-7 pm and you need to show your Member ID card. More details are on the DVC site.

We may try to make it after the wedding (7/19)!!! Wedding...1pm Dinner at CG...9pm. We will be the ones all dressed uo!

I keep asking what all goes on at these Block parties to see if we want to go, and I can't seem to get anyone that has been to report what all happens. Anyone here been to one before?

The member Block Parties do not start until July. Here is what the DVCmember.com web site says:

Summer Block Party

Members will be seizing the night this summer like never before, participating in a series of Member Block Party gatherings at Pleasure Island taking place each Tuesday, beginning July 5th and through August 23rd.

Enjoy free carnival games and treats plus entertainment from street performers and a live DJ. The complimentary gatherings, taking place from 5-7 p.m. at the east end of Pleasure Island (outside Rock ' n' Roll Beach Club and inside Motion), let Members mix and mingle with their Disney neighbors before enjoying complimentary Pleasure Island admission, "rocking the block" and experiencing the island's themed entertainment and dance clubs into the night. Only those attending the Member Block Party will receive complimentary admission to the island. Please show you Member ID Card to gain entrance into this exclusive event.

Please note that Guests must be 18 years old or older to enter Pleasure Island nightclubs after 7 p.m. unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Some Pleasure Island clubs are open only to Guests ages 21 or older.

Valentine, There's going to be a party for the Members Cruise the night before we sail. It's also going to be at PI!

We used to live in Yardley Hunt, I see some of you are from our former area, I missed it, it was very hard to leave.
