Looks like there will be lots of us there! DeeCee-where are you from on LI? My 17 year old doesn't golf but is looking foward to the new basketball hoop and biking.
Our spring break isn't at Easter but we will be there 4/22-4/27. My 13 yr old DD is already emailing her "HH Disney" friends about meeting up again this year. I'm hoping they have plenty of teen activities this year for her.
Last time(three years ago)when we checked in on Easter, we were able to order Easter Dinner through the resort and have it delivered after we arrived. Anyone know if they still do this?
Received the flyer for the Easter dinner orders through resort this week but it indicates delivery is 10-noon. We don't check in until 4 p.m. on Easter Sunday. I am going to call the front desk to see if there's a way we can work around that issue, but I'm hoping to get some leads on restaurant options too just in case.
Thanks for the heads up about the delivery times for Easter Dinner. I had got my paper and didn't notice. I did call the resort this morning and Theresa said no problem, they would put my dinner in the refrigerator until we arrive. We are in the middle of another snowstorm here in upstate NY and I am really getting excited about getting to someplace warmer !!
Hi Debby7,
I see your from Campbell - we live in Hornell and are suffering through the same storm. They had to cancel our St.Pats Day Parade because it is so cold and messy. I am soooo jelious that you are going to HHI for Easter - we have to wait until schools out at the end of June.
What do you think the weather will be like there April 2-7? We would love to go to Hilton Head as we have never been there. I know we probably wont get a reservation this late, but my niece who is a teacher in New Jersey just told me she had the week off and we are trying to think of a DVC beach area we can go to.
You're only 3 weeks out! We were there for Easter 2005, and although it rained torrents on Easter Sunday, the rest of the week warmed up beautifully! Also the cast members had lots of neat activities planned.
The Eilers/Harvey/Levy/Rundquist/Renati group will be there April 1-6 to celebrate my Mom's 75th B-day.
There will be 8 adults and 2 kids in a 2bd and a studio. We are all really excited to be going to HHI!
We really like the resort with it's Spanish moss covered oak trees, laid back feel, and beautiful view of the marsh (plus many other things too).
If you see my Mom walking around the resort, wish her a Happy B-day (her name is Geri and I think we will have her wear a pin or something). She would love it!!
We are stopping by Hilton Head on Saturday the 7th to spend the night on our way to wdw. We've always wanted to try HHI and were planning to try this summer, but once we sat down with calendars and looked at DS swim and baseball schedule, it just wasn't to be. So we have thrown together a HHI/WDW/Atlanta trip over Spring Break! We were hoping there would be some neat activities on Easter before we head to the Mouse! We are spending the night outside Atlanta Friday night and hope to be on the island pretty early the next day.
If you',re arriving on Easter Sunday - bring warm clothes - it is going down to 40 degrees at night - we live just up the road. Only a high of 55 or so. It is supposed to warm up nicely by Tuesday !
I hope all of you have GREAT trips!!!! I'm very anxious to hear any details upon your return(s)!!!! We will be heading down for the 1st time ever as visitors and DVC owners on June 25-July 2nd and are extremely excited!!!!
