Who's going to be there January 22-29?

Lime green...I use lime green ribbon, which I need to buy more of I think. I tie pieces on my backpack, purse, stroller (not going with a stroller child this time!), etc. I also stopped by Home Depot, went to the paint section and got Mickey paint samples that are lime green (I think Alien Green, to be specific, but there is another lime green, too). I then wrote DIS and my username on them and laminated, but you could always just punch a hole and tie them with the ribbon and put them on your backpack or whatever you carry.

Tinkerbelle-I am SO EXCITED about E nights! On Jan 26th (wed) we will be at MK...park closes at 7pm but is open for resort guests til 10!!! yippeee! Thursday night is Epcot...stays open 3 hours after closing for us! I cannot WAIT!!!!!!!!!!! :jumping4:

We'll be arriving 1/18-1/24 at OKW. It will be me, DS(5), DD (2). It's our first trip in 2 years! Finally, my kids can stop asking me every night when I tuck them in for bed 'When are we going to Florida?'

I hope to meet all of you while we're there. I'll make sure to get my Lime Green this weekend!

Me DH (our 5th trip), DS 8 (3rd trip!) and DS 6 (FIRST TRIP!)!! We will be at POFQ for 2 nights starting Jan 21 and then moving to a one bedroom at OKW for 5 more nights until Jan 28! WHOO HOO! I will be looking for all the lime green, but I probably won't say anything if I see you. I am kind of shy! So if you see someone pointing at you at whispering to a tall man with glasses that is probably me pointing you out to my DH!

We'll be there the weekend of the 21st IF my jury duty starting the 18th doesn't extend through the 21st! (in which case, we still might go and stay for one night instead of 2).

In many situations I tend to be shy, but at WDW I'm not usually. I walked around WDW with a holiday headband on last month that got lots of comments. WDW brings out the kid in us!

My DH and DS9 and DD7 will be there the 21st - 28th staying at AKL. We've only been to Disney once and stayed at AKL then too. Was thinking of switching to WL if poss. Any thoughts from more experienced travelers? Pray for good weather!

Can anyone tell me how to get a countdown counter? I'm new!

HI! We did not care for AKL but most people love it. I would rather be at WL since it is closer to MK, again just my opinion!! If you stayed there last time why not try something new? If you go to the technical support board there is a thread over there to help you get and test your countdown!

We try to stay somewhere new each time. We have only disliked one resort and it was the Poly. We thought AKL was ok, but we paid for savannah and got a few and smell of a trash dumpster along with our 2 giraffe. We have been on 4 trips and twice we have split our stays bewtween two which has allowed us to try:
The Polynesain
All Star Movies
Dixie Landings (before it was changed to POR)
Port Orleans French Quarter
Beach Club Villas (rented points)
Animal Kingdom Lodge
We will be going back to POFQ for 2 nights in a couple of weeks before trying out a one bedroom at Old Key West.
Beach Club Villas is our fave, we would go back in a second, but we like to try something new each time and the 1000+ sqaure feet sounded great to us! We'll see! Next trip after this upcoming one we WILL be at WL even if it is for a couple of nights! You will have fun wherever you stay, but it is always nice to try something new, even if you don't end up liking it as much as AKL you might be glad you tried it!

Jekka's mom What we are doing is staying at the AKL 20th-24 then at WL24th-29th. Me DH DS6 It's the first time we have had a split stay. We always stay at WL, just wanted to try something different.

Melanie - I never even thought of a split stay! I wonder if it is a hassle lugging everything around. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if it is possible. We loved AKL - it is gorgeous and there is so much to do. We had one rainy morning and the CMs kept my kids so busy doing rubbings and playing games and teaching them all sorts of stuff. Top notch place. I'm looking forward to going back (the pool is incredible)! Have a great time
