A lot of us will be staying at POR that week. I wonder if we'll run into eachother. If you see a couple wandering around there wearing "CANADA" t-shirts, that may be me and my DW!

the last week of March is spring break for us, here in north central WI. We're staying at the AS Movies. I'm a little worried about the crowds, however, with Easter being two weeks later I'm thinking that it will be very manageable! The last time we went to Disney World (2 yrs. ago) Easter was one week later...and we heard numerous times from workers that weeks before and after Easter are always much busier. I'm hoping this is true!!!
Regardless of the crowds, we will have a wonderful, wonderful time!!!!

Packing -hmm I have to confess I have suitcases out already (well acutally for 3 weeks now!) I've done lots of holiday washing today!

I'm packing for DH, DD4 and me so I've packed summer clothing with sweatshirts/jumpers for the early morning starts and chilly evenings!

I'm so excited ! 12 days until we fly!

We'll be there March 26 - April 6.

Heading down March 26th and staying at BWV until March 31st, then moving over to POR for March 31 to April 6th.

I'm a little worried about the crowds starting April 1st because not only will it be spring break for many folks, there is also going to be a huge conference going on, which is why I'm going this time of year. To give you an idea of the size of this conference, it's the first time in the history of the conference they have had to close registration because they were reaching capacity!

The reason you might not find resort availability, here's a list of the conference hotels: Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, POR, POFQ, CSR, ASmo, ASsp... and they ended up having to add more conference hotels to handle the number of attendees, so that list now also includes: AKL, CBR, BWI, and BC.

Fortunately, during that week in April, we'll be in the conference all day... so those 6,000-7,000 folks should be at the parks.

Wow! What conference is this? We're staying at CSR, so I'll guess we'll be prepared to see people in suits walking around while we're in our shorts and t-shirts. :rolleyes:

At least they will be in conferences and not at the parks!

It is the Sungard Higher Education Summit conference. They are the software company that provides the programs that many colleges and universities use to conduct daily business. Of course they also work with a bunch of other software vendors who provide specialized products. So, in addition to the Sungard folks, all the vender reps will be there AND all the college administrator folks. In addition to CSR being a conference hotel, they are also using the conference center there. Oh, and I have a feeling you'll see more of them in business casual wear than suits... I know I'm not packing any suits! :goodvibes
