Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

I'm going to have to search my notes and see what I read that led me to believe Spectro would be on Tuesday ... I didn't necessarily check weekend days as none would work for us to catch Spectro. I have based my ADR around Tues being Spectro ... what a bummer if when they release the hours it will be different.

Three of us (Sister-in-Law, DW & I) are arriving on October 7th at SSR for a long weekend at the F&WF, leaving on the 11th. It will be DSiL's 1st F&WF! :drinking1

Hi guys,

I was wondering if i should do the halloween thing at disney while there, its only myself and my boyfriend. Is it worth doing. Only problem is i dont have a credit card and from Ireland.
What actually happens at the party, are all rides closed etc.

Welcome Mely!!

They do selll tickets to MNSSHP at the parks - so you do have that option, depending on when you go they may sell out on some dates - likely to sell out on the 31 and maybe on a Friday night... so you never know... I know I saw a list of the rides that will be open in the MK during MNSSHP, probably most of them (the popular ones)! Less people in the party = less lines. The fireworks are 'different', the main street will have more orange and purple spotlights to set the mood, they have storytellers, and places where you can trick or treat for candy (you do not need a costume) and you get a picture as a souvenier too!! (For us, this is priceless! I havent seen my parents in 3 years, and the 5 of us have never been in a picture together!!)

I'm glad I went back through my notes ... I don't know where I came up with the thought that Spectro would be an option on Tuesday. Looks like it will be a Monday option for us so I was able to make Liberty Tree Character Dinner ressies for that eve. Thanks for the heads up ... can't remember who it was that mentioned it ... changes ... changes ... AAUGH!!!

Where is this located at? I want to make sure I get one of my 2 ds & I. Thanks!

I know I thought I read somewhere it would be on a Monday - but like many I do suffer from CRS (Cant Remember Stuff) I remember thinking we were only going to be there on one Monday - so I have to be flexible when the schedule comes out - we know there will be no Spectro on MNSSHP days... and like someone posted on the official sticky, 3 of her days are party days!!

For the Halloween Pictures, I have no idea where I read this (on the Dis) but I remember they said there are a couple of places, I've read hints for the Christmas Party pics, stating there is always a long line in the beginning of the night... so wait a bit, but not too long (or you may miss it? :confused3 ) I figure the closer to October, there'll be more info!!

There are photo stations in Adventureland, by Hall of Presidents, and in Tomorrowland. There used to also be one in Fantasyland by either peter pan and then IASW but they got rid of that one last year.

I prefer getting it over with. If you can get in a line right around 7:00p the lines aren't bad, and you look your best. If you wait, you'll get tired and your kids might get messy and tired so I don't like waiting. It does get crowded in the middle of the party and then dies down again near the end...during the second parade.

We are going from 10/2 through 10/9.
Staying at the FW cabins.

My wife and I haven't been to WDW in years.
This is the first time for our kids . Aged 11, 7, and 7. We wanted to wait until the twins were big enough to really enjoy it.

We are all pretty excited.

Thank you very much! :earsboy:

OMGoodness! How did I get under the 100 day mark without noticing. I MUST have been busy. Only 94 more days till we head to Port Canaveral for our cruise and then 7 nights at WDW!!!!!

I haven't been on this thread in a while, but I read the last few pages, and someone mentioned Ohana being full. Is this a new problem with the restaurants? I guess the Dining Plan has caused a lot of people to eat out more than normal.

I guess I need to call Ohana's b/c that's a place I wanted to eat at in "02, but never made it.

Someone asked about watching fireworks from Ohana's, but I don't think an answer was given, so I'll ask, too? What would be a good time to reserve Ohana to watch fireworks?

Thanks!
Lori P. :)

Hi Momm2four ! (reminds me of my aunt and cousin, they are mom to 4 BOYS!! We're all close in age! Lots of cousins!!)

anyway,,, re 'ohana, it seems to be a "hit or miss" (with it be booked) (and remember, free dining = more people trying for TS meals) and I was talking to DH last night, I think the people that book in concierge also get in their AR at the last moment, and I've heard even with an AR (and i've seen the lines!) you may have to wait 30 -50 min!! :earseek: (probably with the entertainment its a slow turn over of tables some nights!) October hours havent come out, so the times of the fireworks havent come out, they could be 8 or they could be 9 :confused3

I booked 7:30 thinking we may not get seated right away, and I know we'll take an hour to eat... if they are at 9 we'll walk to the beach!!

Thanks eeyore!

I noticed that people are calling a reservation an AR instead of a PS now. New lingo? Keeping up with all the acronyms in Education and on the DISBoards is making my head swim, lol

I'm sure this info is somewhere, and I'll keep digging, but is there a difference in time windows for calling if you have the dining plan versus if you don't? (I don't) I really haven't thought about making dinner plans up until now, but I guess I'd better get busy.

(Speaking of cousins, it's great to have a bunch. My inlaws were blessed with 8 grandchildren in 5 years, and we have FUN at family gatherings!)

Lori P. :)

Yep, staying up with the lingo does make one's head spin
AR = Advanced Reservation and ADR = Advanced Dining Reservation, replacing PS/priority seating, again same definition, it doesnt gaurantee a seat, just a confirmation... many believe because of the dining plan more are making AR's and thus the dining places can not do walk ups (many of them do book up 90days, some places open up more times at teh 60 day mark btw!!)

I use this site to help establish parks, and as posted earlier, we really want to make it back for the Spectro parade, esp if its only 2times per week!!

Yep, those boys are blessings indeed!! Ours all all grown (19 and 17 :rotfl: ) but we were blessed with a surprise Angel - dd 8!!

Welcome to all the newcomers.

Lori,
Hello, I am the one who originally posted wanting to know when Wishes is and when to get a PS for Ohana to see them from there. From what I researched mostly from what others mentioned and talking to a CM. If the park closes at 9 like it did last year then Wishes will be at 9. There is however a chance that the park will close at 8 though since hours are not posted yet. I guess it is wait and see but I still don't know the ideal time to get to be seated near a window to see it without the seats being filled up. If anyone knows please share it.

Did anyone get the Cinderella's Castle Breakfast this morning. I am hoping every who wanted it got it. Today I booked 10/4 Primetime at noon and Alfredo's at 6:30 but I may cancel Alfredo's since we were not too thrilled with it 10 years ago. I am so afraid that with the dining package all the PS's will be booked before I make them. I am a worry wort. lol

I got one!!! I'm so excited. the CM who answered my call had to put me on hold because of computer problems. I was so disapointed because I knew I had just lost my chance. He came back several minutes later and informed me that I had a 9:15 reservation. He went over to use another computer. I thanked him for the extra effort.
