Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

We will be there, I hope, October 11-14 at POFQ. DH, DD (12), and me!
Hoping to do MNSSHP on our first night or on our last night, still trying to decide.

We will be there from the 14th to the 22nd. Will spend the first two nights at the Contemporary Tower (surprise for ds' 11th birthday, he has always wanted to stay there) and then move to OKW for our first time as DVC members. I miss having my counter so I know just exactly how many days until that trip. Meanwhile I really need to start packing for our April 26-May 2 trip...

We're going to try really hard to get there one of the days, our 8th anniversary is Halloween (Also the anniversary of our adoption loss, so we could use something to distract us) We live here, so we won't stay on property, but would love to do a meet!

We are going October 19-24th.

We're staying at the Polynesian.

I'm looking forward to MNSSHP and staying at the Poly, our first time for both.

I'm most looking forward to seeing my kids' reactions to everything. My youngest will be there for the first time at 2. My two older kids will be there for the 2nd time, but they will be 3 years older this time (8 & 5), so it will be a totally different experience for them!

We are going Sept 29-Oct 5. We are staying at BCV. I am looking forward to MNSSHP. I have never been. Any tips? Is it worth the cost? This is DD second trip and can't wait to see her face when she meets the "gang". Also going to Whispering Canyon. Can't Wait!!

It will be our second trip to and our first time at MNSSHP as well. I can't wait and it should definately be worth it!

We are waitlisted for Oct 20, but have Oct 21-25 reserved at BCV in a 2bdrm. I am going with my DM and 2 DFs. This will be our first "mom's only" trip! I just called about the Party for the Senses and was told tickets would not go on sale until 90 days prior to the event. He also told me MNSSHP tickets would not go on sale until 90 days prior. I think that is wrong. Has anyone heard differently?

I heard May 1st and it will be posted on theseboards on the home page more than likely!! I heard that here and when I inquired with the DVC customer service they also mentioned May! So just look everyday and eventually you'll find it! I'll be waiting to so I can book October 30th! BCV must be a happening place we booked October 29th thru November 5th and we got the last 2 bedroom and someone had just cancelled it that day or we wouldve been somewhere else!

Well after getting an email from my dad who is now living very near to West Palm Beach airport, we will fly in to WPBA on Tuesday 10-25-05 and should get there about 8:00 something. We will stay there for Wednesday and Thursday. Then about 4:00 or so on Friday the 28th (by bday) me and dw will be driving to Orlando, driving to PORS to at least get our tickets and parking pass(I know the room won't be ready, but they can hold our luggage), then having breakfast @ chef Mickeys
Then we are going straight to MK. Depending on the crowds we will take a break ( I may not, DW will need it) then go back to MK and probably ps @ LTT, then going for the MNSHP. Then on Sat, probably MGM, and then on Sunday it will be Epcot. Monday on halloween we leave to come home.

I am most looking forward to, just being able to walk down Main Street one more time, going to MNSHP, and being able to ride the new Soaring.

Also, don't forget that there is nothing like the hollidays when it is at WDW.

I was wondering for all the people going to Port Orleans, how many request a building? How many hang out at the pool after a day at the parks? I read every thread about which building in the FQ, mainly I've been getting a sense that the resort is 'compact' enough even building 1 and 7 arent that much of a walk. Some report that the parking lot side can have a view of the fireworks from Illuminations - I also gleaned (and stored in my brain! ) that the building closest to the Food Court has benches that the smokers like to sit and relax....

so does anyone else think about requesting a building? (and I'm just planning not obsessing!!)

eeyore45 - I always make requrest at whatever hotel I'm staying. When we stayed at FQ, I requested close in, rather than a building by name. When we've stayed at the ***, we'll pay the extra for premium. Another $10 a night just does seem like much when you're only paying $50/$60 anyway.

Have a great time planning your trip. For me, it's some of the best fun!
