Try the Fort Wilderness Cabins. The sleep up to 8 (?) I know easily 6. Friends of ours stayed there for their honeymoon last fall and brought their moms and 2 daughters and had plenty of space.

oct 13-17
oct 20-24..
not sure where we are staying yet,,,were celebrating both our bdays--ill be 21, shell be 20..

does anyone know when the first halloween party is? and would we like it?

I just booked POR for Oct 2-8! I can't wait. It will be me and DD who will be 5 by then. We're looking forward to doing MNSSHP on the 4th and the 7th.

My family (DH, DD-9, DS-6, and I) will be thre October 6-15. We are staying at our HOME resort of OKW. We plan to do MNSSHP, the water parks (kids have never done them because we always go off season when it's too cold) and we plan to try the Family Magic Tour this time. Can't wait!

DD(will be 6) & I arrive at Poly GVC on 10/14 then DH, DS(4), DD(2) and an adult friend arrive on 10/16. We all leave on 10/23.

Can't wait for longest (9 nights) trip ever. The beach at Poly, my 4th F&W Fest, 2 special days with just DD. I have to find my courage. She wants to do all the thrill rides and I'm a whimp! I know we'll have a blast.

This is our second trip and probably our last...DH just doesn't get it.

My DH doesn't get it either. We went for 3 days in 1993 and he thought he had seen it all. I went on 6 times without him before convincing him to go for DS's 3rd birthday. Then I somehow convinced him to go last Oct. On our last trip I sent him on the garden tour at Epcot. It helped him appreciate it all. That was our last full day. This year he'll be going on some sort of tour very early in the trip. But he still doesn't get how I'll be able to stand 9 nights at Disney.

I have a very easy Peter Pan or Robin Hood costume Idea. I made it for my son just to play in 5 or 6 years ago and it has held up awesome. This is the time of year to do it too. To make it get a Turtleneck that is way too big for your son. My son was in a 4 at the time and I bought him a 10-12. In the front of the shirt, centered cut through the Neck down maybe 2 inches past the seam. You are making a v-neck shirt with a collar. i didn't even sew the cuts and they didn't unravel. Now cut the arms off using a zig zag pattern to make it short sleeved. Do the same at the bottom. Leave it long enough to put a belt around it and still have it over the butt. I just put a brown belt on my son that I made out of ribbon. He tucked a sword in it. I got some green leggings that he wore for pants. You could do green tights or even shorts depeneding on the weather. Our local stores have Peter Pan or elf type hats, but you could even pick one up when you get to Disney I know that I have seen them in the parks. There you have it Peter Pan or change the color and you have Robin Hood. Lightweight and as warm or cool as you want to make it. I can come up with other ideas, but I would need to know if you have ds or dd. We are going as characters from Hercules. DS2 is Pegasus (that took forever to make), ds7 Hercules, ds9 Hades, DH Zues and myself Meg. We went with the Hercules theme because the costumes are cooler (ie not too hot for Florida) but we can still put things under theme and wear them in Vermont (we have some cold halloween nights here).

I used a pattern to make my son a felt Peter Pan costume last year. It was so easy because you didn't need to do any hems. Then I just bought the hat at MK. He wore it with a T & shorts to MNSSHP and with pants and T-neck at home. DD's were Tink and Wendy (just bought a blue nightgown on sale at Disney store). I really liked MNSSHP but won't be going this year. My kids just weren't up for a real late night even though we had a rest day. They were wiped the next day too so I felt like we sort of "wasted" 1 1/2 days to go to the party. I'm glad we did it. Parade was great but I don't feel like I need to go this year (well maybe I'll let DH & kids stay at hotel while I go with friend?)

We are coming 10/12 and staying at the Holiday Inn, LBV for 10 days, cruising on the Magic from 10/22 and then capping it all off in style at the Grand Floridian.

I'm planning on going to MNSSHP on Oct. 4th. I noticed on the spreadsheet that only 1 other person has this for the party. Anyone else planning on going on the 4th???

Yes! We are planning on going on the 4th! I am thinking that since it is a Tuesday night and at the beginning of the month that the crowds might be low!

We are going!!! Had planned on being there over Christmas, but DH has changed his mind so now we will be there for MNSSHP and F&WF! Just means we don't have to wait as long to go. We will be staying at PC and will be there from 10/29 - 11/5. This will be our first time going in Oct/Nov and really looking forward to MNSSHP on 10/30 and the F&WF as well as our first time doing the water parks. Now we just need to figure out costumes

We will be there 9/30-10/7 - maybe longer! It will be me, DH, DS4, my mom, my brother and his GF. We are staying off-site at my mom's timeshare, but DH and I are thinking about doing an Intimate Vow Renewal, so we might tack on an extra 4 nights at a Disney resort at the beginning or end of our trip.

We're definitely planning on going to MNSSHP! We did MVMCP when we went in December and loved it!

I looked over the list, and crunched some numbers. Looks like so far the least attended week is going to be the last few days of Oct- first few days of Nov. An average of only about 9% of the October folks are going at that time. I'm psyched- hopefully that will mean really short lines and small crowds at that time, as long as we avoid MNSSHP on the 31st.

Looking at doing 16th wedding anniversary land/sea package. Never done a cruise before, starting slow and hope to enjoy the mnsshp party for the first time also!! Mid october for us, I hope.....
