Eeyore45, Don't despair I am your age and I will be wearing shorts! I will be there on Oct 1st. I don't like capris at all. I am too short for them. No jeans here unless the temp go below 67 degrees I think I have my daughter convinced to were shorts also. So go ahead and were your shorts then there will be 3 of us!

Tuesday is right around the corner!!! You'd better hurry and decide what to wear! Just wear whatever you are more comfortable in (and I do not mean your birthday suit). Who cares if someone laughs at you (which I am sure they will not), but if they do, that means that you put a smile on someone's face. That could be considered your good deed for the day. You could be the honorary good deed doer at WDW.
Just be comfy! And have a great and safe trip!!!!!!!!! You deserve it!

Eeyore45 - I wear both shorts and capris! If it's near 90 or higher, I can't wear capris - I'll faint in that heat. Even though I'm mid-30s, shorts it is. As for capris, I am nearly 5'10" and have long legs, but I love my capris because I don't have to worry as much about the length. I think it's just a matter of getting used to the look.

I will be packing according to the weather as long as the weather person is at least 50% correct... I will pack both shorts and capris and go from there. Tank tops? We'll see about that one. Eddie Bauer and Bass has a nice line of comfortable V-neck (not huge V) short sleeved shirts.

Now what is with kids wearing JEANS on hot days???? My daughter(12) did that almost all summer after I ran around with her getting her shorts that she liked? Now she tells me she doesn't "like" shorts. But she loves skirts... .... Sooooo the "evil" mommy that I am will only let her wear a pair of jeans down on the plane which she'll wear back home in case it's cold up here and the only other thing that will be packed is her skirts.

I am just going to let everyone know... this pleasantly plump girl from Nebraska will be wearing capri's and shorts. Dont care... my legs look pretty good and I carry all (or most of my) weight in my stomach area... so, if I make anybody happy that (giggling and snickering behind my back) great. I am there to have a great time with my family. We are even cruising and I am taking a suit to wear on Castaway Key and I guess I am going to put my "OMG is everyone looking at me" behind me. Where am I going to see all these people again anyway. It is all about making this the dream vacation I am hoping for. Maybe, I will even make the "did you ever see anything shoking" threads.

Going in 27 days and cant WAIT!!!

See I did check in. We booked through Park/Sleep/Fly and are staying at the Amerisuites in Itasca. For $89 we have the room tonight and up to 14 days of parking. This wasn't my first choice but we waited too long to reserve. Could I have done that through Priceline? Oops.

Wear whatever keeps you comfortable and as cool as possible.

Since I'm obsessive, I'll probably check in one more time before we leave. After all, we can't leave for the hotel until the Bears game is over

If I see any lime green, I'll wave! Have a great time, everyone!

Hi y'all just wanted to see my counter. As for the whole shorts vs. capris debate. Please quit worrying and wear what is comfortable for you. That's my motto. I'm 5'3 and chuncky w/ cellulite. I'm wearing short and capris because I don't like to be hot. Hopefully everyone will be too busy having fun to notice my legs.

well, go figure - you have a REAL LIFE??? I can see why the GS are taking advantage of your spirit!! Dont burn out!! (speaking from a very busy Boy Scout Adult Leader!! _DS did his EAgle Project yesterday!! )

we've been doing our best to keep this in your absence!!

I'm over the capris issue, but in case it raises its ugly head, I appreciate knowing I'm not the only "short" wearing girl out there!! And I showed DH my purchases, and he rolled his eyes - why is it MEN dont have this issue?? Its not like hairy legs are attractive!! DEAL with my vericose veins!! Love my dh He is so supportive - and I've been a hormonal wreck - did a lot of crying while showing him my new outfits!! (I've gained so much weight these past few weeks - and I'm not eating - I'm writing down my caloric intake - 1200 - 1100, and exercising... its hormones and b/c, and frustrating.. )

So this morning dh and I pass each other on the driveway (I took older ds to school, he took dd) "EIGHT MORE DAYS TILL DISNEY!" our flight leaves early Tuesday next week!!

I have been reading all of these posts about wearing shorts and I jsut have to say wear whatever you are comfortable in! I don't see the big deal. No matter what your size or age there is no reason why you should feel like you can't wear shorts. I always wear shorts, yes I am 29, but still, I can't imagine not wearing them. Also my mother, who is 52, wears shorts all of the time as well.

Actually, you want to hear my issue? I am 11 weeks pregnant and will be 15 weeks when we go and have no idea what I am going to be able to fit in when I go. My regular clothes are fitting so it is not like they have alot of room to give. Also, all my bathing suits are bikins so I am not sure what I am going to do with that. I think if I wear one I will look like I have a little belly fgoing on and people may not be able to tell yet that I am pregnant.

Oh well, I am not obssesing over it. I am just SO excited to be going back to Disney and the Food & Wine Festival and of course MNSSHP!!!

Just wear what is comfortable to you and have fun, after all how could you not at the most Magical place on earth???

It is entirely too hot not to. Although, I hear that a cool front will be popping through next week.

I intend to be cool and comfortable. I have some new tanks that I bought to wear on this trip and some shorts as well. I may bring my capri's for evening but, who knows.

Can't wait to be in the world!
