Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

Add us to the list!!! FW cabin from the 28th of October to November 5th!!!

Our original trip for October '06 is now scheduled for this October and the wife is going batty looking for a costume!!! (pun intended) :teeth:

This is our first trip and the wife and I are acting like a couple of kids before Christmas. Our three kids (DS 7 - TODAY!!!, Twin DD 5) have no clue that we're going other than having a penny can that we told them when full, we'd go. So on the night we're leaving (driving down) one of us will point out that the can is full (we'll make sure it's full first lol) and that we need to go!

My 7 year old son and I are going October 27th-super excited :bounce: Trying to figure out costumes for the two of us-don't want anything that is gonna be too heavy. I was kind of thinking that since we are from Detroit-we might go as RED WINGS!!! This trip is his 7th B-day celebration :bday:

Pak'n'play, free. Usually found in closet, but might have to call housekeeping once you arrive. :)

Thanks Eller, your info save me. I just cant wait to be at the World, is just 71 days left, and My wife just cant stand me any more, because all I do is related to our Vacations

See You

CSR Oct 29 thru Nov 6 2005

DH and I are going in celebration of our 10th anniversary! Leave on the Wonder for a 4 day cruise on Oct 9. Will be at WDW on the 13th for MNSSHP - both a first for us!!

Staying at Pop - wanted GF, but it's sold out.

This is my first time i will make a PS, that's why i need some info about it.

In order to make the PS do I need a a confirmation # of the vacation Package? This is because my Vacation Invesment due on Sept 15. so I only did a down payment in order to secure the vacation. That date will be around 45 days to Our WDW tour and i dont want to loose the oportunity of Chef Mickey's on my DS birthday.

Thanks

UPDATE!!

You're all very welcome. I'm sorry I haven't updated sooner; we've been super busy this week. I had a two hour dentist appointment this morning. Crown prep, filling to replace an old one and he had to reshape (grind) some teeth as I have been grinding my teeth at night. They are going to fit me for a mouthgard when I get permanent crown in a few weeks.

So DH said I should just sit and play on the computer today. :goodvibes

My friends feel that way. DH gets made with me if I'm not doing "enough" for the vacation. Been busy this week and haven't changed the car rental stuff. Oh well, maybe later today! :)

When I made my ADRs for our trip, the CM did ask me for the confirmation number of our vacation.

DH and I will be there 10/27 thru 11/6. Staying at POFQ. First October trip, looking forward to F&W and especially our 1st MNSSHP! :cool1:

I started planning this trip in February - way earlier than any of my other trips. While I never wasn't excited about the trip, I haven't been as enthused as I normally was while planning. Part of it was my DH who kept saying it's too early to be so excited, and would give me a goofy smile whenever I was on line reading all these posts. "You plan everything and let me know." I made him sit down and look at the resorts when we decided we need to change from AKL to a moderate and he picked CSR. (I actually gave him two choice CSR or POR).

It hasn't helped that this summer, my employing department had a major financial crisis and everyone there had either non-renewal of appointments or were told their contracts wouldn't be renewed. I work at a university and they don't do things quite the way the "real" world does. Basically this means everyone had a 1 year notice. They kept saying that if finances improved and we all worked hard at doing this, most of us would keep our jobs. I was in a better position than most as my contract was a joint appointment between 2 departments and if I lost one, I still had the other (at a substantial pay cut of course). I decided to be proactive rather than passive and I am moving to another department as coordinator of a different program. Slight pay cut but worth it for my sanity. I even thought of cancelling the trip but in one way, this was the light at the end of the tunnel for me. I hadn't taken vacation in teh spring - which I desperately needed so I could pay for the wdw trip.

Back to my DH:

Finally, this weekend, he started asking me questions about the trip and actually sat down and went over a list of things that we needed before the trip (you know, socks, undies etc). We talked at our trip on and off all weekend. I pulled out all my lists and started organizing again.

My point of all this - my enthusiasm is back and I only have 35 more days before we're in the world. I count my vacation as starting in 34 day since we're staying a nice hotel by OHare airport the night before! Luckily my new department was understanding of the preplanned vacation (that has now been totally paid for! Yippee).

If you got through this long post, thanks for bearing with my ramblings.

Cathy

I also booked my vacation back in February and I still have 61 days to go, so I know how it feels to be excited about going and all the planning then losing the excitement and getting it back again. I just keep thinking, "Is the day EVER gonna get here?" DH and I are in dire need of a vacation! It has been a very busy year!

I've been planning since last October. In January, I made a countdown for the fridge. It had six columns. I'm about nine days away from the last column! :cool1: DH thinks I'm crazy for planning so far in advance. I slowed down planning for a while, but now I'm getting back up to speed. I'm trying to work on my packing list now. He is actually showing a bit of interest.

Add another Hoosier to the list! I'm taking my daughter down for her birthday (19-23) at POR, and we'll be doing MNSVSHP on the 21st. I'm counting down the days, and my costume's ready-to-go. She can't quite decide on one, but is still very excited. Last year we went the same time, but I didn't tell her. I pretended I was taking her to school, but instead took a detour to the airport. Needless to say she was VERY surprised :bday:

I see I'm not alone in having "a lack of enthusiasm DH". They'll all have a better vacation with us pre-planners around, won't they?

October 15-23 at the Wilderness Lodge. I can't wait!! I am looking forward to EVERYTHING but most of all just showing my disney "virgin" boyfriend the parks. I KNOW he's going to just love it. It's been 9 years since my last trips so I know there will be a lot of new stuff for me as well.

Is it pathetic that I'm almost packed already??? :teeth: ::MickeyMo :teeth:

I learnt the hard way three days ago that my DH is an un-enthusiastic one too. I had a long list of restaurants that I was contemplating making ARs at, and talking about each one, when he finally blew up and said huffily: "Oh, the more you talk about this, the more stressed out I'm getting about this vacation!!" :guilty:

I'm the super-planner and he's the laid-back kind :confused3
