Anyone going the week before Memorial Day? Are the crowds unbearable?

Hi. We are going the week before Memorial day too. Last year we went at the same time and the crowds were not too bad. May is a great time to go as the weather is wonderful. Hot enough to swim, but not hot enough to roast you like it is in July. Enjoy your trip. The crowds are visibly lower than during the peak of summer.

Mixed reports on the crowds kind of steered me away from Memorial Day.

My experience has been that May is a great time to go. Most kids are still in school.
Beware of early park closing days where evening parades and fireworks might not be available..plan accordingly.
Expect weekends to be busy..do major attractions during the week and good during dinner time.

I have PHP's...so looking forward to going to the water parks for the 1st time!!

This will be our first time in a long time going during May. We usually go in Dec. for MVMCP, which isn't too crowded. (although it did get more crowded this past Dec.)

Anyhoo, like the MMANDCAMOM, we're going the week before Memorial day (5/24 to 5/28) and I'm worried about crowds and heat. I believe it's Star Wars Weekends there during that time, so I wanted to see how the crowds really are.

I hope the weather is like GONETODISNEY said...not too unbearable. I'm nervous but I can't wait to go...I know...I'm going crazy.

But can anyone tell us more info on how the crowds and weather is like? Thanks!

POFQ for me May 14-22nd. I've been down in May before and the weather wasn't too hot, mid-80's which right about now sounds great! Since it was 27 when I woke up this morning and i thought to myself hey its not too bad out(it was below 0 most of January)!

We were there last year. The friday of memorial day weekend got real busy especially in the magic kingdom. But all other days were wonderful, 5 minute waits for rides. Star Wars weekend was great at MGM.

We are so excited May 1-8 this year, last year we went Memorial Week and I thought it was fine as far as crowds and weather. I haven't been early May so, I can't wait to see the difference. I love the Flower and Garden Show. We also upgraded from Moderate to Deluxe CBR-WL. Please tell me I made the right move, I love both themes but because of the discount being so great I could not pass up the opportunity to go Deluxe. We will be at the Poly 4/29 - 5/2 and then the BCV 5/2 - 5/9. It is really getting close. I'm so excited, I may POP!!!

We are taking my in-laws with us, it's their first time. Flower and Garden Festival here we come!
