Who's going in December?! SIGN IN HERE!

Is anyone interested in a meet-up during the first or second week of December? I would love to see some other Dis'ers when we are there! We will be there from Dec. 3-11th....staying at Hojo. My DS would love to meet with some other kids too. :) (It's a Mom/Son trip this time!) We're doing the Discover the Magic Tour on Dec. 5th (Walt's Birthday). Anybody else going? :santa:

Hi disneyfan4ever54!

We will be in the parks the 4, 5 & 6th. We aren't doing a tour but would love to meet up with you if it works out! It's me, my DH, DD 11, DS 17 & DSGF. My DH is always saying..."You don't have us meeting with your board people do you?" and now I might just be able to say "Why yes dear, we are!" :woohoo:

Anyway...let me know if you're interested and we can pick a time/place!

Kim

Tickets for Rose Parade on 1/1.

cool beans...my dd was in the marching band all through jr high and high school and one of the years she was in HS she was supposed to march in the Rose Parade but the band director wife got pregnant and was having her baby too close to that date so he postponed it...well finally they are going next month so give a whoop when you hear them announce Golden Valley High School from Merced CA:goodvibes

4 more days . . . DS (who is 9) was bouncing on the couch this morning saying "Mama, make the time pass faster, I can't wait!" :wizard:

It certainly is coming up quickly! But I bet to a child it isn't fast enough lol I still have way too much to get done so it's going fast enough for me right now.

December.. 22-24.. we will be leaving Portland Saturday. the 20th...
Hope the Passes stay clear.. .. should arrive Anaheim Sunday late afternoon.. wish to do Dinner in Downtown Disney.. then First light.. DISNEY Monday.. whoohooo...
Trip is a total LowBudget.. actually a side step on way to suprise Parents for Christmas... who live in YuccaValley.. .. so gonna spend a few days with my daughters n sonnlaw.. before we make the treck and suprise the grandparentals..
found simple deal on Orbitz.. at Super8.. .. since we are planning on only using the Motel as a resting place figure shouldnt be too bad.. .. fingers crossed...
Has anyone stayed there..? Trying to figure out easiest way to get to Disney from there.. the lady at the Motel says its a 15 min walk then parking lot shuttle.. .. hmmm seems a bit too long for us.. lol.. maybe taxi? I think she said. possibly about $8 to ride.. one way.. might not be that bad.. since the ART is not inthat area.. if we did ART. it would have been.. what.. $3x4=12.. rt.. .. so I guess $16 rt wont be too bad... .. anyone have suggestions.?
also.. trying to figure out if driving south. to Anahiem might be easier if it drove in via East.. Like going to Ontario.?? Not too thrilled aobut LA traffic..

We'll be there December 14th-16th.

We've been trying for several years now to get to Disneyland at Christmastime, but there's always something that stops us (one year we even booked a trip then I got laid off my job the NEXT DAY! Another year, we had to spend $2000-$3000 on a new transmission, eating up our vacation $) So we usually end up going in the spring (once the tax return has come through, that is...)

I went with my mom and siblings at Christmastime way back in 1989, but this is the first year my wife and 3 kids will be able to experience it (and with things like HMH and IASW Holiday, it'll be a totally new experience for me as well).

This has been a pretty good year for us financially, and with my wife being a Disney Store employee, we got a great rate at the Disneyland Hotel (not to mention she gets in free with her employee passes).

We're not telling the kids until the day we leave. They are seriously going to freak out. Because we already went in April of this year, we're not as concerned with seeing EVERYTHING--we just want to be sure to see everything CHRISTMAS (and of course Toy Story Mania and Sleeping Beauty Castle, which hadn't opened yet)

See you folks there!

I am getting super anxious and excited!

jmqidoc I do hope the roads are clear for you...never driven down to CA unless it was june or july so idk. But weather hasn't been as bad as it was last year so that is always a good thing! :)

We'll be in town Dec 20th to Jan 4th and I the parks Dec 25th and two other days we're yet to decide on. :)
