Now that we took our house off the market, my "office" is back to looking like "vacation central" and I have stuff everywhere but in the suitcases!!!!!!

Can't wait!!!!

Rae

Am I the only one who hasn't received documents yet??? I think the mailman is afraid of me ... everytime he comes to the door I practically jump him! :(

I got mine on Tuesday 7/8 - we are using points from our DVC. I was very surprised to get the documents that early since I was told 2 weeks prior was the earliest I'd see them.

I am feeling so miserable about this tooth pain that I can't even get enthused about them. Sorry!!

Again, please have the documents filled out before going to the Port - saves time and effort! Also, have your entire party with you at the counter!

Rae

sorry to hear about your tooth ... I'm sure it will be all better by Shrimp time ... :p

I get home from the hospital, I get my DOCUMENTS!!!!!!!!!

I am soooooooooooooo excited!!

Thanks for the info on the muster thing, definitely need to look into that!

We are also staying at the Radisson the night before...we won't be hard to find, we are bringing our 40' fifth wheel with us from Michigan!!!!!

BTW, Rae, did I ever tell you I grew up in Laredo, Texas...yet another fun thing we will all learn about each other!!

rsholtis...welcome home, my husband was activated and deployed 3 times.......is now home and so very happy!! We also got the military deal....but are in cat. 10......no upgrades...but that is ok...no complaints here!!

see y'all soon!!!

Our dog Kira loosed the eye hook on her chain last night and took off. She is an inside dog and has tags and a microchip. We started searching and even my neighbor (the dentist) and his family helped out. No luck.

Thought she'd return this AM, but no - so Tom and I have been alternating searches for her. Called police, media, pound, vets, etc, etc.

Michael is devistated.

We never thought she could bend the eyehook - she's a 45 lb Collie/Golden Retriever mix.

I know there is nothing any of you can do except pray - but that's all it take - and please check your dog's chain, eyehook, etc. You just never know......

Rae

Rae, Any luck with finding your dog? I know how frustrating that is. Our 1 dog gets away every once in a while and we are always frantic searching. Once he came home, once a neighbor saw him and called me at work to race home and get him, and the last time my older son and I found him quite a distance from home, just when we were ready to give up the search. He is an inside dog, but it never fails that someone doesn't close the gate and he runs when he gets out. I'll pray you are able to find him quickly, that is such a sick feeling. How's the tooth?
It's hard when you want to be excited about a trip and something like this comes up. Good luck. Beth

Beth - no luck so far, but I've not stopped looking. The biggest problem is that she is dragging the vinyl coated metal chain behind her (15-20') and with the fences, underbrush and woods around us, she could be anywhere.

It's amazing how you can forget your own pain (tooth) when you are in a panic about a pet - we got her when she didn't even have her eyes opened and couldn't eat or drink (just l lb) - just makes me sick and I don't know how I'm going to keep Michael both hopeful and realistic this morning when he wakes up.

Last night he kept saying he never wants another dog, that he hopes she's in a better place and he never wants to hear the name "Kira" again in his house ever.

Worst part of all is that this weekend is the 9th anniversary of Kayla's passing on so all of us are in a more emotional state than usual.

I know that you understand this, Beth having been on that missing dog hunt yourself - it just takes such a toll on us for them to go "frolicking off on their big adventure". Such danger out there.

Rae

Rae,

I, too, have been in your situation with two runaway puppies!! Three years ago, we had just moved into our new home and the dogs next door came romping through our yard and off went our puppies. After a 4 hour frantic search, one of our neighbors pulled up in his truck with our two pups sitting in the front seat. What a relief it was to all of us. We decided the next day to have an electric fence put in and our dogs (now 4) love being outside and we don't have to worry about them taking off.

Enough about me, but I wanted you to know that I will say a prayer or two for the safe return of your dog. It sounds like you've had enough to deal with lately.

Your're in my thoughts and prayers.

Anita

Rae,
Miranda and Gonzo, my 2 furry ones have been known to have to spend the night at the, ugggggggg dare I say it........pound because they ran off and someone turned them in. This is such a lump in the throat, pit in the stomach feeling. We will keep you and the family and the little one in our prayers for a safe return.

Michele

Thanks dear friends - we've been all over the area searching and still nothing. Chances are great that she caught up on a tree or brush and is stranded in the woods somewhere.

Michael is holding up pretty well, considering - but repeats he doesn't want another dog and doesn't want us to mention her name again. Hurts worse to have him this sad than anything else.

Rae

Hi!
Now that Kira has returned - our lives are once again fulled with thoughts of vacation!

Remember we are meeting at the Promenade Lounge after the Safety Drill - this will be a short "meet and greet" session before the "Sail Away" Party since that is something everyone needs to be a part of! It's a lot of fun no matter where you are on the ship - the Goofy Pool area is the big party area - music, people, etc.

A "must see" is the send off from the Port when several employees will be wearing large white Mickey hands when they wave "bon voyage" to us!

If anyone wants to have a "get together" after the Sail Away, make your suggestions now!!!

With 19 days left, we need to start packing! DH tells me that he won't pack til the night before....like always! AGGGHHHH!!

Rae

The suitcases are down from the attic.................

Rae,

So glad to hear that you have your dog back.

Since you have cruised recently and we and I am sure others have not cruised for awhile, how about some post 9-11 tips about packing, security at the port, and id's?

Gotta Question.....Do you know if I can leave Brooke at her club during lunch (meaning - Do the Disney personnel take the clubs to lunch)? Last time Brooke was too young - so she stayed with us just about every minute...I think she was at Flounders less than 5 hours total. Anyhow, I want to spend this vacation with her - but after the date my wife and I went on this weekend - we decided we are doing that more! So...If we book an excursion, do I need to worry that my daughter is going to eat?

Also - on Sunday...Do you think we can make a noon excursion after brunch?....Wow...Brunch....I'm gonna enjoy a whole plate of Stone crab....Good company - Good chow - and a kayak through nature's best untouched sights....God is good.

Life is awesome....

Bob :smooth:
