Still snowing.... It can snow all night long as long as the cold temps are gone!! Sure does make a Cruise to the Bahamas look pretty good right about now!!

snow's over here. Was a gorgeous day at Mt Sunapee. My boys will be taking snow-boarding lessons there tomorrow. Can't wait to see how they do!

Finally stopped here too! 14'' later... SO much for the predicted 6"-9". Thinking about taking the boys skiing tomorrow....

My dh and ds are out snowmobiling right now and loving it, lol...I'd rather be in Florida....love NH in the summer and Fall, but despise it in the winter and Spring.

"DITTO" I don't do winter either. My DH went snowmobiling today too. It is his favorite sport and he likes it better then hunting. What kind of sleds do you folks have?

Hi from Newbury ! BBQ's in the winter. Why stop? We use our grill all year round, I don't make my DH use it when it's below 10 degrees though.

We also try to use our grill year round but with all this snow & COLD weather we have been doing more cooking inside. I miss that grill taste!!

Our barbecue grill and outdoor fireplace are both buried in the snow. When DH was younger he used to grill in the winter - now we just hole up inside the house once the weather gets bad.

Snow has stopped up here. Skiiers here for the long weekend are having a great last day. DD didn't have to work today so she is off snowboarding. One of Attitash's employee benefits is that you ski or board free with your employee ID.

Happy Friday All. I hear cold weather is on the way once again. How are you folks trying to stay warm? First on my list is a wood stove. What else do you need?

We got through the last real cold snap with mostly just the wood stove. We've burned very little oil this year. My office gets cold - the downstairs is a separate heat zone and we do have it set to come on at 60 because we want to make sure we avoid problems with the pipes. So the downstairs den, office, library and the unfinished part of the basement never go below 60. The upstairs thermostats are set at 55 - that heat zone very rarely runs.

Florida or some other southern state for the winter sounds better every year! Unfortunately I can't even think about retiring until I get DD through college. Hopefully she will accept UNH's offer so that she can scrounge a place to live from relatives in southern NH and won't graduate owing too much money!
