Who's doing the "mom" contest that was announced?

I did!

I wrote mine in Microsoft Word first to do editing then copied and pasted into the form.

Lucky for us we are a family of four!

i did but 100 words is to little.
I was thinking afterwards in bed, darn i should have writen xxx
oh well its done fingers crossed for someone on the dis to be choosen!:goodvibes

I think the DIS should be really well represented in the entries! There is this list, then another list that I am also on in the Community Board. Everytime I need advice I come here, or AllEars.net so the "Moms" around here really know their stuff, and this is from a former Cast Member, YOU ALL ROCK With Your Disney Info!

Did anyone else notice that it said that you must be available to travel December 8-12? Would that be for training if you won, or would that be when you and your three guests would get their free trip? I entered also. OH I HOPE THEY PICK ME!!!!!!!!

I think that it is for both - they seem to have planned the training time for then and invited you to bring your three guests who get to park hop while you are learning the :surfweb: . You can bet that there will be some photo ops scheduled too for the moms with and without their guests.

ps - I'm entering too!! Been thinking an writing everything down on paper before I send it in next week - after I return from POFQ with my free DDP! :cheer2:

I entered too! I really hope they pick me but, I would be just as happy if any DIS'er got picked!!

Me! Me! I applied this past weekend and have to agree -100 words - TOUGH!! At first I thought it would be easy, but the more I typed the harder it became. Best wishes to all our applicant disers!! Hope some one from here is on the panel. I think this is such a grand idea. :woohoo:

Well I am enjoying this thread and laughing.:lmao:

I received an email from the Disney Insider and saw it advertised there, so I signed up. When my husband got home I said, "Honey your never going to guess what I did today!" He said, "What?" I showed him my print out response of the three questions. He said, "Looks like you wrote a job application, good job!" He thought it was amusing.

BTW for the two posters who mentioned the big family angle...I used it!:lmao: I tried to be nonchalant in my about family and the seven kids that are nineteen to nine months.:rotfl2: But in all truth, planning for that varied age group was challenging. But where I did get my help from!? The dis boards of course!:grouphug: This is the goldmine!!!:thumbsup2

Good Luck to all!:cool1:

I signed up too, I know it's a long shot :rotfl2: but hey, it keeps the dream alive to get me there sooner..........
it was *really* hard keeping it to 100 words !!!

I to applied. I used the angle of planning for a large famly, my kids ages 3 through 17 . I also told them how we just got back from a trip that I planned for 16 people ages 3 through 70.
good luck all!

I honestly wouldn't wait if I was you...the deadline ends when they hit 5000 entries regardless of the date.

ps - I'm entering too!! Been thinking an writing everything down on paper before I send it in next week - after I return from POFQ with my free DDP! :cheer2:

Actually they changed it to 10,000 entries "due to overwhelming response"

I applied too.

I agree it pays to be original as already a lot of the same themes have been mentioned by several posters.

However, it was incredibly difficult to be original in the 100 word limit for each of the 3 questions!!!

Did anyone actually mention the Disboards in their answer? I didn't, but just wondering...

I mentioned the Dis boards and helping out answering questions every day on here.

I applied, too! How cool would it be to be selected?!? Now it's just a waiting game. Oh, well! At least I have a trip to WDW to keep me entertained until the results come in.:thumbsup2

Sent in my this afternoon!! Crossing my fingers!
