Who's been waitlisted for New Year's week before?

Did you have luck with your waitlist coming through? I got through this morning at 9:50 am, only to be waitlisted for a 2 BR standard view at BWV. I now have 3 nights standard and 1 night preferred. I still have 2 more days to go and I'm not feeling optomistic. I should have stuck with my plan of booking preferred for the whole trip to avoid any hassle, but I guess I was feeling lucky there for a while. Not feeling so lucky anymore. Don't know if I should keep trying for standard or just try to switch the whole thing to preferred. How has it turned out for others in the past?

This past New Year's we had 6 nights of standard view with one night right in the middle that we were waitlisted for. We were on the wait list and nothing came through for 11 months. When we arrived they told us that they would try to fix it so that we wouldn't have to move. On our second night we came back from one of the parks to find a message on our phone asking us to come up to the front desk about our room. Sure enough, they fixed it so that we could stay put and not have to move. I guess someone else that was scheduled for our standard view got moved to preferred.

By the way, we were also waitlisted for a day on a separate studio that we had for family members. That wait list did come through back in the summer.

Good luck but don't let it worry you. They really will try to make it work for you.
