I know from the other cruises that they are on sea days and will vary based on your dining rotation.

Take a taxi from times square to port.
From airport to times square it may be cheaper to arrange car service depending on time you arrive/traffic. Taxis available easily. Just be sure it's licensed and not private car.

We are using Dial 7 car service from LGA to our hotel near Times Square. We are going to a taxi to the port. Then, Dial 7 will pick us up at port to take us back to LGA. Never used them before but found them on the NYC thread here.

We had character breakfast on the 2nd sea day..I know some didn't have it until the 2nd to the last sea day though as our server let us know that.

The shows were (in order) twice charmed (1st sea day/formal night), villains tonight, walt disney dreams come true (night before WDW day), and Disney dreams (2nd to last night).

We also had PUB NIGHT last night in Rockin Bar D. They said this was the first time in a year it's been performed on the Magic.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it..but dining arrangements on WDW day were interesting. They had Lumieres open for ala carte open seating like they do at lunch (Master Chef menu) and Parrot Cay had a Buffett. They were open til about 9:30. Topsiders opened up at 9pm and was supposed to stay open until Midnight.

If anyone wants the menus - we had the 3 theme dining room dinners, prince and princess (formal night), Captain's gala (semi formal night), Master chef (WDW day), Til we meet again (last night), Pirate menu (Nassau day).

It was our first Disney cruise and we LOVED it!!!!

Special Ducky Williams lithograph (Dumbo around Lady Liberty) and a Minnie as Lady Liberty clock were delivered to our rooms on two different nights as inagural NYC sailing gifts.

There were plenty of NYC merch to be had in the gift shops. I'll be happy to give specifics. I picked up 2 pins and a post card.

Any other questions, ask away...I'll be happy to answer!

What is dial 7 car service? Do you prebook this? Or use at airport?

Also - for those asking when the terminal opened. They WERE enforcing arrival times. We were stopped before entering the terminal at 11:25 or so to make sure we were 11:30 or earlier boarding time.

What kinds of things were they selling? shirts, sweatshirts, other NY icon things?

pins, tshirts, hoodies, hats, post cards, framed lithographs aka bigger size than the post card, xmas ornaments, photo albums and scrapbooks, statuetes of minnie as lady liberty with the ship in front all with NYC to the Bahamas 2012 and the ports logo on it. I Mickey head NY and minnie as lady liberty general NYC merchandise were being sold as well. I also saw some pins for the Canada itinerary and there was a special 2 day NYC getaway pin for the 2 day NYC cruises in addition to the NYC to Bahamas pin and the NYC port pin I bought.

They did have signs in Treasure Ketch and Mickey's mates that NYC special clothing merch was limited to 2 of each item per person.

thanks for all this info and cool they had Pub Night, was it only the skit? I saw the first ever Pub Night on the Fantasy and it was only the skit so just asking, hope they keep it all summer:goodvibes

They had the "if I were not upon the seas" skit finale, but the cruise staff also did a few songs and some interactive songs with the audience as well.
They were excited to do it and they kept mentioning it was coming all week...so it sounds like they may keep it all summer.

I am not familiar w/ Pub Night.. could you elaborate a little more? Just an adults only skit show?
Also, if you have the Navigators, would you please publish?

Adults only variety/skit show put on by the cruise staff. It went about a half hour and it was fun and funny. If you search on you tube, I'm sure you'll come across some footage.

We did not save the Navigators...sorry. If there was something you were looking to see if they had, I can try to answer.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer. Was more trying to get a 'feel' of the kids activities and the times they were offered. Nothing specific just a general idea.

You and the other cruisers have been great with the information already! It is much appreciated.

Thanks for giving us all the info. How was the new show? Did you have a magician? For repeat cruisers were there any new activities on sea days?

Does anyone know the cost of the Shutters photo CD??

Also, did anyone get the navigators they can scan and upload?

Thanks :)

we had a comedy juggler, a comic musician (John Charles?), alfred and seymour, and a ventriloquist (lynn something). We dropped off the juggler and ventriloquist mid cruise and picked up Alfred and Seymour and the comic musician.
We saw the juggler and the musician at the clean family shows and saw the adult alfred/seymour show. All were very entertaining!

Don't quote me, but I think the cd was like 300 or 349? It also could include your WDW pics with the special photo pass cards they gave us.

I'm guessing the Walt show is the new show? that's the only one I hadn't heard about prior to sailing. It was good..made you want to cry talking about Walt's life and legacy and the parks. It was a great show to have the night before our WDW day and even added some bits of the attractions/music from the MK. Alot of the smaller kids didn't seem that interested though as there was alot of dialogue about Walt and alot of video clips of old footage.

they had the no upgrades sign up, but our servers reported that the ship was not full and short a couple of hundred people. Our 2nd seating had alot of empty tables and seats on our rotation.

We prebooked online and it is going to be about $31 to our hotel. I found a $5 off coupon code as well. You just call the 800 number when you get your luggage and they will direct you where to find the car.

It's $33 back to the airport (before the $5 coupon) and you specify the time for them to pick you up.

Prices are before tolls and gratuities, but it appears to be about the same or cheaper than a taxi for us.
