I am sailing on the Fantasy beginning May 15th. I received a booking group 3, what time is that? Would I be early enough to snag a chair at the pool and swim for a little bit?

Pool/pool chairs are usually uncrowded on embarkation day. Everyone seems to go to eat first.

We get BG 2 and generally board around 11:45-11:55, so 3 wouldn't be long after that. With that said when we walk by the pool on our way to lunch it is usually deserted. You will have no problem getting a chair.

BG 3 should give you a great opportunity to get a pool deck chair wherever you want

Then you won't select a PAT, and your Boarding Group #3 is indicative of that. You'll check-in at the Hyatt lobby that morning and they'll inform you which bus.

Yes, we either board group 1 or 2 and it's a ghost town. I kind of like it when more folks come aboard! Then it's a real party

Overall, I agree completely! However, on our last cruise, DH and I were the family of the day! That little bit before anyone else boarded was pretty awesome!

Hard to say exactly. It all depends on when they actually start boarding. Boarding Group 3 would board about 5 or so minutes after they start boarding. If they start boarding at 11:30 then you would be onboard about 11:40 ish (you have to wait for people's names to be announced onboard).

Once boarding begins they call boarding group numbers every few minutes. It goes fast. If you don't want to stop for an embarkation photo then just walk past them.

You will be some of the first onboard and will absolutely be able to snag a chair by the pool if you don't stop for lunch. It will fill up fast. If pool time is important to you than snag your chair and then later you can get your food for lunch.
