Who's afraid to throw up??

I hate the chills or hot flashs

I don't want to be in front of my toilet

The dry heaves

The not knowing how much is going to come out

I dread not knowing if any thing's going to come out of my nose (that's the worse)

the smell of it

Headache afterwards...

-This is just a partial list of why I'm afraid to throw up

I'm actually petrified if someone else throws up around me. I can't hear it or see it. I get a severe panic attack and run. I can't even handle it when my kids throw up. I'm just terrified of the whole act all together. I guess its just the gruesomeness of it. Its so disgusting all together. Something traumatic happened to me when i was a kid.
Nice post huh ??

After being pregnant 4 times the fear of throwing up has long been thrown out the window!!LOL Really, at some points in my life it was all I did sometimes twice a day for 4-6 months straight!! I guess I have just gotten use to it.;)

UUGGGHHH... I hate throwing up....I get really anxious if I feel like I might!! I would ratherhave my eyes poked out than vomit...Ok, maybe that is not true but nothing is as bad as vomiting!!!

I've certainly worshiped the porcelain god a time or two (ok...many times more than that) and don't care for vomiting. I wouldn't say I was afraid of it though.

I always qualified myself as a sympathy puker until I had a child with a GI issue. Now I'm a puke pro.

I'm afraid of it. :scared: Made the horrible morning sickness I suffered through that much worse. :scared: :scared:

At least for most of us, throwing up is not something we just decide to do. I don't like throwing up, but it's usually one of those things where when you have to, you have to... and probably should. However, it is polite to make every attempt to get to a toilet or other suitable place. People tend to get cranky when you throw up on them.

Believe it or not, I haven't thrown up for 32 years except for one time while my daughter was being born (and I don't count that, since it was extraordinary circumstances). Other than that, I was 14 the last time I did. I made it all the way through my first pregnancy (although I felt horribly ill a lot!) and all the way through the 10 weeks that my only other pregnancy lasted (again, felt horribly nauseated, just never threw up).

I don't know why I never throw up. Honestly, sometimes it might be a relief, it just never happens. :confused3

I am! Throwing up reminds me of labor. My body is doing something that I have NO control over and I HATE it! So, I will lay awake all night(I only ever feel sick at night) without moving a muscle so I don't set it off. I will constantly say over and over in my head,"I will not throw up. I am fine! I'm just thinking about it too much and made myself sick. I am not sick. I will not throw up." :rotfl: Usually works.

One time after I threw up I immediately passed out on the bathroom floor. So now if I even think I am going to throw up I make my DH come with me to the bathroom.

I don't mind throwing up. I'm afraid of cleaning up vomit, because then I will throw up or get the heaves.

That's Why I won't risk riding rides that
could make me sick!!
Besides hating to Throw Up,
I would die of embarrassment if I
did it in public.
Once I get dizzy and queasy from
a ride, it last all day, so I'm useless.:upsidedow
I also hate seeing anyone else
Throw Up because it make me
want to do it also!!!

Well, I don't like to throw up, but I've resigned myself to the fact that I am a world-class puker. I get sick at the drop of a hat, motion sickness, going too long without food, bending over to dry my hair, smelling something bad, running at the gym, etc. I have a hair-trigger response, always have. I threw up at the dentist so much when I was little, my mom actually started bringing a change of clothes with us. I got too much nitrous last year, and puked in front of God and everybody at my NEW dentist!

It's actually gotten to the point where I can control it. For example, I had to puke for 24 miles last Saturday, but I restrained myself by gulping and looking straight ahead, not moving a muscle. DH was CRAWLING on the far right lane on the interstate in case I had to hurl.:rotfl:

OMG.....I am terrified when i throw up:confused3

I always feel my throat is gonna get locked in
a dry heave...and i'll die:scared:

The fact that i have never thrown up once....and be done with it....
dosent help...

Every time it's a every half hour of gut wrenching,
bile producing, agonizing moments of a locked dry heave:scared1:

till i can get a compazine suppository to stop the madness:lmao:
Ok.....nuff said:rolleyes1

I have not thrown up since I was 14 or 15. I even kept it together after riding RnRC and TofT back to back. I do rides like this for DH. I have not done the Orange side to Mission Space because I refuse to TRY to make myself sick..

I never want to vomit ever again. It scares me.

I dread not knowing if any thing's going to come out of my nose (that's the worse)

I had a nasty stomach virus last week for 3 days I was so miserable and sick. I hate to puke....it's one of the things I hate the worst but I absolutely hands down hate it to come out of my nose. So I decided in my hours in vomitland to hold my hair back with one hand and plug my nose. It WORKED! LOL No puke came out of the nose and it didn't sting nor did I have to blow it afterwards!

If I'm nauseated for more than an hour or so, I look forward to the sweet relief that vomit brings. I have been known to help the process along - if I know it's inevitable.

Yeah, there's nothing like blowing your nose after a session of projectile ralphing. As if the anticipation and the act of vomitting weren't enough, the lingering vomit bouquet coating your smell buds adds insult to injury.

This happens to me too. I'm not together enough to pinch my nose closed while retching, but I will snort water through my nose, as uncomfortable as that is, to clear out the stowaway chunks. Otherwise, every breath is an emetic reminder of something I desperately want to forget.

AMEN!!!!! I couldn't believe I had the presence of mind to plug my nose but man it was nice to not have those extra "chunks" come out of my nose that got lodged in there by the force and to smell that nice disgusting smell all day long.

After having severe morning sickness for 9 months with DS, and then going through chemo, I am a puke master. I can even tell you what is okay to eat that won't taste bad the second time around (Red Delicious apples are my fave!).
