WHOO-HOOO our very 1st cruise..FE material pictures up!!!!!

So, we will be going on our very first EVER cruise…and I am so happy it is a Disney Cruise….We are sailing October 17-24!!! Whoohoo I am so excited!!!!

I hold Disney close to my heart. I was 24 on my very first trip to Disney World, during this visit my husband and I got engaged, the next year we spent our honeymoon at DW and the following year our one year anniv..we have been there twice with our children.

Here is part of the cast:

Me : work from home. Love Disney…..have never been on a cruise before.

DH : The greatest and most thoughtful man I know………
DD: 13 at the time of cruise…..ugh a teenager 
DD: 10 at the time of cruise…. double digits, no more babies……

ALSO in the cast:

BF : (doberlady) aka Best friend …huge fan of all things Disney as well....(I have only known her for 8 years, but it feels like a lifetime…….
BFH: aka Best Friend Husband
BFD: (best Friends daughter) 13 when we cruise…ugh another teenager and my DD’s BF!!
BFS : Best friends son 10 when we cruise
BFDT: best friends daughter T (she is as cute as can be. She will be 4 when we cruise.

We booked this trip a year ago this past May. We have a couple of milestones this year. Me and DH will both be 40 and we also celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary this year. My BF and her DH will also celebrate their 15 year anniv as well.

We decided to go on this cruise because my BF was going and it was that simple!!!!! I am so excited about it!!

We did our first cruise the end of April on the Magic. We have a 4 yo and 10 month old. It was more than I could of imagined. I LOVED it and we booked another. It truly becomes an additiction. It is so nice to have everything in one place. Your "hotel", the restaurants and all of the Disney magic right there. And the service is great. Of course I have nothing to compare it to since it was my first, but we can't stop raving about it.

Being on the sea with that fresh air and the beautiful water is amazing. Meeting lots of people that you normally would never talk to was great in itself. All of the cast members are so friendly. The shows and activities were so much fun. And my daughter could not get enough of the Oceaneers Club. And how can I forget the CHARACTERS!!!! One more thing.....CASTAWAY CAY!!! It is heaven.

Congrats - we are doing out first cruise ever on Disney as well, but not until December.

we are also going with another family, their DD and my DD are best friends as well. They went on a 3 day last year and this year we are all doing the Poly and then the cruise. We booked last June, so have been counting down for a LONG LONG time.

I am hoping that we all love the cruise and am planning on rebooking onboard for a 7 day.

Our first Cruise 3 years ago was Disney too! I can't imagine going on any other line, Disney is what I know, why would I want to change that?
I remember our excitement the first time too! WOW, I think I was more excited than my kids! Our 2nd trip will be this fall, and wow, the time just won't pass by soon enough!

We did a land/sea package in Sept. '07 thinking that we were going to love WDW and the cruise would be our first time at sea so had no expectations at all. We were so blown away. We loved the cruise. My children ages 12 and 8 talk about our cruise at least once a week. They say that they will gladly give up the parks to do another cruise. Our first cruise was a 3 night trip, we are now booked for the 14 day Trans Atlantic in Sept. '10 to celebrate our 16th anniversary and our 40 yr. birthdays are that year. We now talk about the upcoming trip at least once a day.

Ok since Bourgie is away this weekend and not posting on her pre-trip report I will entertain you with some pics and info.

I am the BF and family referenced above :0 We are a huge Disney family and have been 8 times. When we go anywhere else on vacation we are ALL wishing we were in Disney instead. Everyone thinks we are crazy and well I guess we are

We went on 1 cruise a few years back on Carnival and I HATED EVERY SECOND. It just wasn't for me. I have been reading the DIS boards for years and spur of the moment booked a Disney cruise. I am very excited and so are the kids. When I told Bourgie that we were going I knew it was a matter of time before she booked too.............. I think of nothing else and spend way too much time reading the board.

I bought a FE on Ebay a few weeks ago and I will post a pic when I get it. It's adorable. I also have 8 door magnets made and I need more as I have 2 doors to decorate. I booked 2 cat 9's for my family of 5 and Bourgie and I are a few doors down.

Donald....When was your 1st Disney cruise and where did you sail? I have never been on a cruise before. I just can't even imagine what it is going to be like.

My first was a 4-night wonder cruise last year. It also happened to be the Mousefest cruise for that year, so there were a lot of people from these boards on, as well as the authors of the Passporter, Dave and Jennifer Marx.

It was way beyond what I thought it would be. Had a Cat 6, got to hug a Dolphin, and swam with Stingrays on Castaway Cay.

One thing...do NOT miss Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic. There is a reason it's the best show on the sea, and it well deserves it.

We went on vaca last year with her family and had a blast...so i only know this trip will be even better. Thank the lord they are an easy family to vacation with......


Well, I am back from a fab weekend in Dover with my mom and family to see our very first NASCAR race....IT was so much fun!! We saw million dollar race cars and lots of beer!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mom lives about 10 minutes from the racetrack. I have been to Dover thousands of times it feels, yet never saw one race, only on TV....So this was a good time!!!!


Unlike BF, i do not have a FE yet. I am making ours, i have all the material to make it, but have not had the time ...I also do not have any magnets either...but will do that as well. I do have some images i requested from the dis creative thread....need ink first in my printer i am a pain in my own butt!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it is 4 months away.......Time goes by so fast, i am taking in every day until the end!! The cruise will fly buy!!

I am sure we will.....reading all the boards all the time about the Disney Cruise it is extremely rare someone did not enjoy themselves!!

I have started our magnets, ordered my FE from e-bay, and am working on matching t-shirts. Yup! I am also Disney obsessed!!
