WHOO HOOO !! going in June Holiday Inn maingate East ?

Hi Everyone.. I know i said i wasn't going to be able to come down and visit but you know what I have to be in Kentucky for a wedding ( its only another 12 hours by car to disney ) so I added on and will be arriving June 15 to 21 st.. I have to stay off site due to $$ but am happy with what i have found - i think - which is why i am posting .. What can you tell me about the Holiday Inn Maingate East - the package i booked is the Single Parent rate of $49.95 per night w/ free breakfast for everyone including me , kids eat free all the time ( lunch and dinner ) kids also get a coupon for a free ice cream and a free snack. I got just the basic deluxe room 2 doubles, micro , fridge, coffee maker. Thanks for any input you may have.. I am so excited !!!!! Michelle

First I have to say you got a really good price. I stayed there in September 2001 and paid the same amount and received nothing extra.

Second, the hotel is nice on the eyes in the lobby and pool area, however my stay there was horrible.

While I was at the HI Maingate East the fire alarms would go off twice a night @ approximately 11:00PM and 2:00AM FOR EIGHT NIGHTS IN A ROW!!

The bedroom air conditioner water drain pipe was backedup and soaked the bedroom carpet, if we step near the front door it was like standing in a rain puddle (we went through alot of socks at night)

After complaining we moved from the pool area to the roadside rooms. Ok the Roads side rooms are NOISEY!

After complaining more and trying to get some sort of credit, I received nothing but they do have alot of extra towels at the pool! LOL!

.....this all lead to my decision to goto the ASMo in 2002!
