Whoa! Where do I start? Been missing ya'll...

Sure have been missing all of ya'll DISers!

The 2004 BT update.....
DH has 6 months sober.
Mom's kidney is holding up well and cancer on kidney was removed, and she's OK.
Brother, who gave mom his kidney and got cancer also on his remaining kidney, also had surgery and is doing well.

My rag business had another record year, which is truely by the grace of the Lord, because BT has had her own battle with cancer since September.

I knew I was feeling bad, run down; thought I was just over-working to get my mind off my DH's drinking and my mom and brother.
Something kept telling me to see a doctor, but, just couldn't find the time.
I stayed in denial for about a year.

Even our last WDW trip in August, as we were staying at the YC concierge, and riding Mission Space for the passholder weekend thingie, I just didn't have same "WDW" energy to go all day and into the night.

Two weeks afterwards, I collapsed in my store and was rushed to the hospital, which ironically is across from my store! LOL!

Tests, tests, tests, and more tests......I then the news.
Uterine cancer.

Well, following alot of crying, cursing, more denial, one hello of a pity party, and just plain fear.....the Lord took me through it all-both surgeries, etc.....
just like He did for my mom and brother.

I'm glad to be back here on the DIS.
Can't believe I remembered how to do my clippie thingies!


Also...I've decided, even if I have to ride one of those ECV's, we're going to WDW for spring break!
Now.....THAT's PURE INSANITY!!!!
Oh well, blame it on the morphine!

Welcome back! You really have had a horrible year, sure hope that 2004 is MUCH better for you. I'm really glad to hear that you, you mom and brother are all on the mend. I guess there is a lesson in your story for all of us. I am also one that tends to put off going to the doctor. You are living proof of why that is not such a great idea. Please stick around and keep us updated.
