And I never said that one life isn't as good as "an american one" not sure where that tripe came from. But to deny that France and Germany turned their back on the USA is to deny the facts.

Point being the story about the French officials taking cash from Saddam to take his side over the USAs. And I'm not going to waste time to google that.

How about reading a post before you respond? I never said you said it, so perhaps I should ask you where THAT tripe came from. BTW, not everything that you disagree with is 'tripe' or any of your little catch phrases.

Again, read before you comment and maybe you would not have to backpedal as often as you do.

And sorry again, I know I should not have lumped France and Germany in with other good, grateful, supportive Euros like Spain, Poland, UK and many others, I was referring solely to France and Germany, mainly France. I know Europe is much bigger than just France, they give the rest a bad name in my opinion.

Your posting style is none of my business, but just a suggestion; if you try thinking before you type, you wouldn't have to go back three or four times to retract your statements, here, and on other threads.

I liked this thread better when it was an honest discussion of the potential demographics of the White House occupant in 2008 or some other time in the future. I tried to present a factual list of things that demonstrated my point of view. But geez, I get tired of Americans trash talking Europeans. It makes us sound so xenophobic. On September 12, 2001, le Monde newspaper in Paris headlined with, "We are All Americans". We had international support for our war on terror. It's true that France and Germany did not support us in Mr. Bush's war. Neither did Sweden, or Belgium, or the Vatican. Neither did Canada, for that matter. China didn't either, if that's important to you, but we didn't go around renaming Chinese food "freedom food". (And really, they mowed their own citizens down in the streets in 1989, but that never stopped us from trading with them).

So trash their governments? When we do something in the name of economics and "what's best for the US" we call it realpolitik .
