Who will be at the Poly in August 2012?

So I thought I'd post my proposed park schedule so we can compare. Of course, this is just my plan and is always subject to change. We run on the majority rules plan on vacation. We are most definitely rope-drop people,though.

8/5 DH and DD @ Universal, DS and me check-in and maybe hit MK or EP
8/6 EP
8/7 DHS
8/8 MK
8/9 break
8/10 DHS or AK
8/11 check out and MK

8/4 EP
8/5 MK (rope drop, break, our first ever evening EMH)
8/6 EP (late start probably due to night before EMH)
8/7 AK (Wild Africa Trek)
8/8 MK
8/9 EP
8/10 DHS
8/11 check out and MK

Looks like we will bump into each other, not only at pool and Tambu!! We are ordinarily rope drop people as well, but don't plan to make it on 8/4 or 8/6 at Epcot. Our only rope-drop necessary ride in EP is Soarin' anyway so I think we'll be OK. We are planning a more leisurely touring schedule this trip, because we want to enjoy our DxDDP and the Poly! We have many fewer must-do's than usual!

Hi everybody!

Just discovered this place this week....and I think I've logged WAY too many computer hours since!!

We check in to Poly on August 19th, for 4 days/3 nights (way too short).

Our plans:

8/19 - MK
8/20 - HS
8/21 - EP
8/22 - AK

Then we head to DelRay Beach for 5 days to stay at my Mom & Step-Dad's condo. We're heading back to Orlando on the morning of the 28th, and plan to go back to Magic Kingdom to use our last day pass.

On the 29th we're off to Harry Potter land - yay! And then we head home to Ontario on the 30th.

Welcome! So glad you found us! Sounds like an awesome vacation!! We really want to hit Harry Potter at some point, but we keep putting it off. Hope you enjoy it! I will now go add you to post #2.

We'll be there Aug. 31-Sept. 2 for a quick weekend birthday trip. We were at GF, but switched to the Poly last week due to the construction there. We will be staying CL in a lagoon view room. I've done garden CL before, but never lagoon. I'm excited!

Ummm...in that case, I guess we'll have to bag MK eve EMH on the 5th...again...or else cut it really really short, which kind of defeats the purpose. I thought we discussed this at lenth when the park hours came out and we (read I) were making ADRs? I must have been delerious.

Westchester County Airport (also called White Plains). We live in Westchester now but we both grew up on Staten Island.

We are flying out of JFK. I can't wait to get out of NY and be away from all the stress at my job.

We head to the Poly in 39 days....I can't believe how close we are getting, seems like time is flying now that Summer is here. So much to do to get ready....I think I'd best be getting started on it . I wish all of you DISers traveling really soon, to have a safe trip and a wonderful time .

MainStreetFireman and I enjoyed living on SI when we were kids (we're OLD, remember?). It was easier to get around in those days. The expressway was still, in fact, an expressway...it wasn't a parking lot, yet! It was nice living in NYC proper and commuting by ferry to Manhattan. We have fond memories of the island before it was way, WAY too crowded! Our families moved away shortly after we did, so we don't have the occasion to go back to visit anymore. NYC is still one of our favorite places on the planet, even our kids love it! Inspire&Imagine will be attending university in Manhattan (her first choice!), and she is so excited to live there! I'm sure we will talk about all this in more detail with Lapu Lapus in our hands!!! We can't wait, either!

YAY!! We have so much to do, too, and we leave in 11 days (with 6 12-hour work shifts in between now and then. I am literally starting to FREAK OUT!! Please let me know if you have any questions about the Poly. I plan on doing a little LIVE trip report from my android phone while we are there. I'd be happy to feed back any info I can gather for ya!

I can't believe it! I looked at the calendar this morning, and we are leaving for vacation NEXT WEEK!!!!
