Mine is from the 60's; Anne Marie (Marlo Thomas) in the show "That Girl." She epitomized possibility thinking in her career. She had vim and vigor. She had a boyfriend who was nice and allowed her to fulfill her dreams. She was an inspiration.

Lucille Ball/Lucy Ricardo. I went to sleep watching here for months after my Mom died. I couldn't get to sleep otherwise.

I always loved Sophia on the Golden Girls. I love watching the reruns on Lifetime, she just cracks me up!!:D

You got my FAVORITE!! I LOVE Sophia!! She is sooo much like my Mom!

Runner ups:

Al from Married with Children

George Jefferson

Archie Bunker

Fred Sanford

Mama from Mama's Family

All witty types with an edge to them. They ALL remind me of my Mom! :teeth:

Lucille Ball. I watched I Love Lucy when I was growing up. I can remember being little and laughing when I watched that show-it's a positive thing I remember about my childhood, and I'll always be a Lucy fan because of that laughter.:) My kids love to watch that show, too.:) Besides, I DO have some Lucy Ricardo tendencies sometimes.;)

George Costanza---:o
I seem to have his luck...

This one's hard-but I'm going to have to give it to LUCY.

I adored the Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers and Superman. I suppose I'm showing my age, but I still love them :)

Reverend Jim from Taxi.

Yeah, he was a burn-out, but so fundamentally good-hearted and innocent. And funny!

"Whaaaaattt does the yelll-loowww light meeaannnn?".

Denise < ---- still gets teary-eyed at the episode where his deceased rich dad leaves him the Stevie Wonder tape (You are the Sunshine of My Life).

Lucy Ricardo, Mary Richards, Rob Petrie, Frasier Crane; in that order. :)

My current fav is the woman who plays Loreli on the Gilmore Girls. I just love that show.

Hawkeye Pierce from M*A*S*H. I like everything about him. His wit, his sense of fairness, love of life, love of women, his ability to laugh at himself, his ecentricity.

My favorite is the woman on Will and Grace. You know the one she is always tippsy, ok well probably drunk. She says what ever she wants and is just hysterical!!

My favorites are Noah Wylie and Anthony Edwards from ER. I love that show, and I think both these actors are really talented. Plus, Noah Wylie is certainly easy on the eyes. ;)

Murphy Brown was one of my favorite. Bill Cosby on his first Cosby Show and the whole cast of Designing Women.

I'd have to say Kevin Arnold (Daniel Stern/Fred Savage) on The Wonder Years. I always found that show so touching, and funny at the same time. I teared up many a time watching that show, no matter how many times I had seen an episode.

I have no idea why but this is what immediately came to mind:

Coach from Cheers
Rhoda Morgenstern &
Florence from The Jeffersons

maybe I like the funny characters?

Dorothy from the Golden Girls......she just absolutely cracks me up :)
