Who wants to stay at BLT "one day" but has no desire to own there??

I think I'd try it once just to see what all the excitement is about but I don't plan on purchasing points there. Personally I'm not that impressed by the decor but then again I've only seen the preliminary photos. As for proximity to MK, that doesn't thrill me so much either. Although we enjoy visiting MK, our family has a preference for DL so owning nearby isn't a priority for us.

I don't think that we will be buying but that is because we really need to stop adding on !!!!

We are excited to stay there. I have never been a big fan of the CR but walking home after the MK fireworks, or watching them from the rooftop sounds great. As well, we love the restaurants at the CR, usually visit the Poly and the GF once each trip to watch the fireworks. This will give great access for all those activities. I could see staying there for 1 - 3 nights every few years for variety and the easy access to the monorail resorts.

I just love that the options for DVC keep expanding. There were 7 resorts when we joined. The AKV made eight, California will be nine, BLT will be ten, and Hawaii is a hope for eleven.

That is what is sooooo great about DVC.............we aren't locked into one place..we can stay at all of them at some point in time. I get so excited that I have a hard time just picking one to stay at when we are planning. I keep saying no more split stays but then I want IT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

I'm still up in the air on BLT. I think I'd love it and I know DP would love it.

I'm thinking about possibly doing an addon of 100 pts at BLT so we can stay in a MK view studio for a week when we want; however, I'm thinking that a MK view wouldn't be necessary every trip (though I know how easy it is to get spoiled with views - Savannah, DTD, BW, etc). If I decide to not get 100 pts (I don't really need that many) I might do a smaller add-on so that we could do MK view every now and then, or use it for standard the other times (or use the points at 7 months for somewhere "cheaper).

While I like BLT for the location next to MK and access to the monorail... I still prefer BWV for convenience to both EPCOT and Studios...

I definately want to stay there; but, I don't feel the immediate need to buy in. I think in the long run it will not be difficult to get reservations for a Lake View Room at the 7 month window. I know I'm in the minority; but, I actually prefer the Lake View to the Magic Kingdom View. Also, I believe that they will build another tower to the South making it a big resort. I'm going to wait and see what happens.

I might try it out but only with a MK view. I have no desire to own there and seeing the pictures of the model is not changing my mind.

I wouldn't mind staying there a few nights, but I definitely wouldn't want to own there. We own at BCV, and BLT just isn't my style. I've never found the CR attractive, and wasn't terribly impressed at the BLT rooms or pool area, but I am attracted by the monorail. Now if it were the Poly, I might be more enticed.

I would like to see the 'newness' of it, and would like to stay somewhere different. We own at BWV, and LOVE the Boardwalk...
But for buying there, naaaah.... I will PASS!!!

Definitely we'll stay there at some point but no desire to own. Like a PP my DH is convinced they will be another tower on the other end so there will be lots of space. VWL is only a 5 min boat ride away and that's my preferred Bay Lake location.

We most likely will not buy there. Our next purchase will definitely be at VWL. That said, we'd definitely like to try it out. Who knows, it could change our mind about buying there.

i never liked the decor in the contempary - to 70's for my liking.

we won't be buying blt but will stay there just like we plan on staing at the other dvc resorts (maybe not ss though - really didn't like it and never understood how it's considered a deluxe and not a mod resort)

We will try at the 7 month window at some point to stay there, but we are in no hurry. And for sure we wont pay those points for MK view.. hoping for standard view.

I would like to stay there...I love the monorail too much LOL. Monorail is like my BFF LOL.

I'm waiting for the POLY to become part of DVC LOL...I would def be jumping all over that.

I'd only want to stay one night MK view, and with only 20% of the rooms with MK view, I'm guessing that will never happen at the 7 month window. I wont be crying about it though.

I feel the exact same way...I would stay there when it was cheap points but feel it would only be worth it for a MK view. We'll see!
