Who wants to replace the food at Liberty Inn with something that represents the USA

I would love to see a CS restaurant serving up some traditional American food, and I don't see why not considering there are other ethnicly inspired CS restaurants around WS. Great idea!

also.. though a little OT.. does anyone else find it funny how two of the entrees and the Canadian-inspired Le Cellier are "New York Strip Steak" and "Coffee-rubbed Kansas City Strip Steak ";)

I would love to see a CS restaurant serving up some traditional American food,
From the website nativetech.com, a site with a number of truly traditional recipes, the ten newest titles:
Rabbit Roast
Corn Dumplings
Sheeps Head
Mutton Stew
Blue Berry Pudding
Chili Beans
Spicy Spinach with Mutton
Kneel Down Bread
Herb Tea
Osage Winter Stew

I have read many threads like this over the last 3 years, I just wish WDW would read them and do it!

As much as I'd love to have a fabulous new sit down restaurant in Epcot I would imagine the Liberty Inn stays plenty busy with people who don't want to eat all of the "different" foods and would rather have a burger or a hot dog. Instead of replacing Liberty Inn how's about they make a whole new restaurant

Like I said earlier in the thread nothing says American more than A Burger and fries or a Dog and Fries. Now just adda beer and you got all AMerican

That's true...afterall..........Chicken Fried Steak is from TEXAS!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

(also a variation of Germany's schnitzel, but not really)

German immigrants settled areas of Texas ... supposely chicken fried steak is a variation of wiener schnitzel. :thumbsup2

This has been a long time pet peeve. I would love a TS restaurant with regional foods. You'd need to keep the same CS just to move the people through. That place is BUSY in peak season.

How about BBQ? Texas- St. Louis-Kanasa- Carolina's-Tennessee. Yea, you could argue outside grilling is as old as, yum, fire. But the slow cooked, smoked stuff is about as unique to the USA as they come.

Funny but I think some of those touristy big steak places from Texas with the huge plastic bulls and waving neon cactus would blow Le Cellier out of the water. 10 gallon hats and cowboy boots."Eat the 72 oz steak and it is free!"

I know, I was teasing....but in Texas...the variation is much better IMHO.

Texas was settled partially by quite a few Germans, thus the food.

And Schlitterbahn!! (Which translates into "slippery road" for those that don't know)

LOL, America is so poorly represented in EPCOT. I have been emailing for years asking them to put back the BBQ place/sitdown, they used to have in DTD in the American Adventure. I love your idea..they have to do something...I don't think we have eaten there...ever in all of our years of visiting disney.

That's a great idea! :thumbsup2 We really liked that restaurant.

I agree 100%

And serve St Louis Beer, California Wines and Kentucky Bourbon:thumbsup2

I would like to see a TS place too. But in all honesty nothing says American more than fastfood:rotfl2: I think part of the problem is that there is no one cuisine that is truly 'American' .Most dishes we consider American are Americanized versions of other nationalities.

I think versions of dishes from different countries is what makes them truly American--the great melting pot!:thumbsup2

rather then Hot Dog's and Hamburger's. how about offer regional food from across the USA like maybe Maine Lobsters, Maryland Crab Cakes, PA Dutch Stuffing, New York and Chicago style Pizza. Wisconsin bratwurst. Cajan and Creole Jumbalia from the Buyou. Southern Fried Chicken and grits and blacked eyed peas. Mmemphis Style Ribs. Salmon and other fishes from pacific northwest and other American offerings.

My DH has been saying this for years. He's actually embarrassed that the U.S. is represented by hamburgers and hotdogs when there are so many great regional dishes out there! It could be done as a CS, but a table service restaurant would be very nice.

Most dishes we consider American are Americanized versions of other nationalities.

And that's exactly what makes them American! :rotfl:
