rather then Hot Dog's and Hamburger's. how about offer regional food from across the USA like maybe Maine Lobsters, Maryland Crab Cakes, PA Dutch Stuffing, New York and Chicago style Pizza. Wisconsin bratwurst. Cajan and Creole Jumbalia from the Buyou. Southern Fried Chicken and grits and blacked eyed peas. Mmemphis Style Ribs. Salmon and other fishes from pacific northwest and other American offerings.

I can't see them offering any of that stuff for a CS credit on the dining plan.

I think a TS restraunt would go over very well. other then Morrocco and China, the other Countries are always full and ADR are very hard to come by.

Excellent idea for a TS restaurant. It makes no sense not to do this, when all other countries have TS. Might I add real Chicken Fried Steak from Texas?
Crawfish Etoufee? But is there room to do it?

I would like to see a TS place too. But in all honesty nothing says American more than fastfood:rotfl2: I think part of the problem is that there is no one cuisine that is truly 'American' .Most dishes we consider American are Americanized versions of other nationalities.

That's true...afterall..........Chicken Fried Steak is from TEXAS!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

(also a variation of Germany's schnitzel, but not really)

It would be great if they did something like this for dinner @ Liberty Tree Tavern. The menu they have now fits the theme, but I'd like to see more options & see the food offered now improve. We (DISsers) have been lobbying for an American, TS restaurant in WS for years. Sadly, the WDW powers that be don't seem interested in the idea.

Keep in mind that the theming at LTT is colonial,
This would be mostly the eastern states, as the others did not exist.
Also at that time, lobster was considered a poor mans food, and any self respecting colonial wouldn't stoop to eating it.

I think you are confused. We are talking about the Liberty Inn in the American Adventure part of World showcase ,not Liberty Tree tavern in the Magic Kingdom.

Please not Maryland Crab Cakes!!! I have never had a good tasting crab cake outside of Maryland. Offering a Maryland Crab Cake would give visitors the wrong impression of what a real crab cake should taste like. :rolleyes1

My Apologies, I agree it would be better to offer something besides burgers and dogs.

ANYTHING would be preferable to the offerings now. Well.. maybe not anything .. but most things.
They have a huge space there and could really do something great with it, even a TS. I have always found the CS there really disappointing.
