Im debating if I should buy one for this trip. We will have a double stroller and diaper bags but I want to have things close by. When we go on a ride I don't want to lug the diaper bag. I figure I can keep money, tickets, and whatever else in the fanny pack. Are they uncomfortable in any way? I haven't used one since the 80's probably. If you use them, where di you buy one?

I use a fanny pack whenever I'm in the parks. It carries money, glasses, camera, water bottles, etc. I find it to be very comfortable and easy to move around when I'm on the rides.

I just bought one at K-Mart for $9.99 in black leather.

disney has nice ones also pricy but very nice

We all wear one when we are in the parks. I find that I move my around depending on what attraction I am on but I normally wear it more to the front than the rear.

You can find them at Walmart. I like the ones that are plastic lined as it helps to keep things dry when around water rides.

I clip my camera case and a water bottle to the waist strap and away we go!
:cool1: :Pinkbounc  :wave2:

I use one. Wouldn't go without it. No matter how dorky it looks, it has a place for my passes, keys, money, snacks, etc. It is far easier to move around instead of carrying a purse or bag.
Joint the crowd. You won't be alone!

It worked great for me on our trip. Tickets, id, money, cell phone. Wouldn't be without it.

You couldn't pay me to wear a fanny pack.

this was me until last year and I finally broke down and now I wouldn't go without it!!

I bought one at walmart for 4.99 it has a cell phone pouch on one side and another pouch that zips on the other the main pouch is big enough for my camera then there are two pockets on the front - one that zips and one that velcros - it sure beats lugging my diaper bag around!

after the first day - I totally forgot about it bothering me and it really just becomes a part of you!!

SEE ME THERE WITH MY FANNY PACK????????

Oh my gosh--MUST HAVE MY FANNY PACK!!!! Of course, I wear it in front, not on the fanny :rotfl:
I have a nice roomy one--it fits my camera, my camcorder (yes, a small Sony DVD recorder), all of our passes, sunscreen, band-aids, lipstick...

I tried a backpack one year and SQUASHED BANANNAS all over everything inside!!!

I even fall into the bad habit of carrying my fannypack when I come back from WDW-it is sooooo much more handy than a purse or backpack, sigh...

I wouldn't go to the parks w/o it and I'm a big burly guy kinda like Rupert from Survivor. :rotfl2: For Real. :rotfl2:

I personally would not be caught dead in a fanny pack OUTSIDE the parks ;)
(My husband says I'm having a young life crisis...I refuse to buy a minivan, too).

Having said that, I can't imagine going to WDW without my fanny pack. It is a HUGE peace of mind to know that all my important stuff (money, CC's, tickets, etc) are not only in a safe place, but I can't accidentally leave them anywhere when things get hectic.

HTH!

My sentiments exactly!! Will not wear one anywhere else (well, maybe 6-Flags) but won't go to Disney with out one! We started with the Walmart version but now all three of us have Disney FP's... they are roomier without being too huge. Having my son carry his own... pen, autograph book, camera...etc. is the best part of the whole idea!!
Besides you know what they say...
Keep your friends close... and your tickets and room cards even closer! :rotfl:

I have a large fanny pack that I always use when I go to WDW. It is so much easier and no more sore shoulders from a purse.

I bought one a few weeks ago at MK, I love it , it's huge. I bought it b/c I can't go without DS's rescue meds on my person at all times and I hated carrying a bag with me on all the rides wtc. So I got the fanny pack, I can fit, my money, CC, passes, sunglasses for me, DH and DS. Camera, keys, 2 epi pens, benadryl, DH's cigs , Dh's autographbook and pen, and much more in it. I think I paid 18 bucks but it was well worth it. I got it in the Emporium on Main Street. I love it and won't do WDW without it no matter how goofy it looks. Gonna get one for DH too, so he can carry DS's meds also.

My girls and I will all be wearing one on our trip to the World in June ;) I've used one for every vacation we've been on with the kids and for me, they are a lifesaver! :goodvibes

That's totally me (only I guess I'd qualify for a mid-life crisis by now)

I do use a very small, woven hippie style waist pack that I got at the Mexico Pavillion in Epcot. I have a bigger one I bought at MouseGears that can carry everything & the kitchen sink, but I usually don't carry that much to the Parks anymore, so I stopped using that one.

We use a lumbar pack. I make my DH carry it. ;) It has space on the sides to hold 2 water bottles. It is very roomy to carry the stuff we need in the parks.

I use a fanny pack whenever I am in a park. I keep the tickets, money etc. in there and don't have to worry about forgetting it. I never gets in the way. I slide it to the side or in front on a ride.

I have this Mountainsmith lumbar pack. It's great! I can be sinched (spelling) down to be small or extended to hold anything you'd ever want.
