Who uses a fanny pack?

I definitely do not go to parks without one. I put my camera, tickets, money, batteries exrra film. IT is great to have my hands free and to know that my most valuables are not sitting in the stroller.

My mom just came up for a visit and bought me a black fanny pack with mickey ears on it for our upcming trip. Really cute!

You couldn't pay me to wear a fanny pack.

I think we would all agree with you in our everyday life! I see you were just recently married, but didn't know if you have children. I learned my lesson: Never say Never. Once I had DD, a fanny pack was a necessity. She's almost old enough to carry her own stuff. I wonder if she'll wear a fanny pack (she's a fashionista)?

Just remember to spinn it around to the back when taking pictures so you don't look like a kangaroo!

Always wear one into the Disney parks. It holds all my "stuff". It works so much better for me than a bag as they tend to hurt my shoulders if I wear them too long. I hate backpacks. Not only do they hurt my back, but you tend to hit everyone within two feet of you. Sometimes if I know we are just going into a park for the evening I wear my Mickey bag instead over one shoulder, but really my "fanny" pack is so comfy I don't even know I have it on most of the time. To each their own.

I always take my fannypack to WDW! I bought this latest one in WDW 3 years ago at the Poly giftshop. This last trip the insides kind of got ripped up so I'm getting the exact same one when I go back in December. It is only $16 and is black with Disneyworld written in those letters that resemble the characters. I love having tickets, sunglasses, and other little stuff handy in the fannypack instead of having to search through my backpack.

The first thing my FIL bought when we got to WDW last December was a butt-pack.
We all made fun of him of course. heheh

By day 3 or 4 I'll jimmy my purse (a "cross body" type one) to be a "belt bag". I'll make the strap small enough to fit around my waist, and have the bag hang. It actually is much more comfotable...and then I have one less tan line. heheh

Baggalini (sp?) has a great travel "fanny pack." I love it because you can convert the strap to be an over the shoulder purse. You can see it at ebags using this link. It's a little more stylish than a traditional fanny pack and has versatility.

Good luck!

I love this! Thanks for the tip chip1. I normally carry a small backpack when I travel but this thing looks way more convenient. I refuse to wear a fanny pack! I guess I'm going through the "young but almost midlife crisis". :earboy2:

I always use one! They are great to hold wallet, phone, hairbrush, sun screen. I tried backpack, but hassle to take off everytime you need something, plus with fannypack you can just get on any ride and it's not in the way. The girls use them for their cameras, autograph books & pens.

I always used one to carry my (pre-digital) camera and glasses case and maps. But this trip I got a really nice Lowepro shoulder-style camera bag for the digital camera and camcorder and that worked as well as a fanny pack.

I'm with the group that wouldn't be caught dead with one unless I'm at WDW! That said, I can't survive without one there. I just have to have my hands free, and still know all my valuables are literally attached to my body.

I used to until I found this www.coach.com/aspx/content/product.aspx?product_no=7583&category_id=619

It looks better than a fanny pack and holds more than one too. Much more comfortable. I bought it for my last trip and it held my camera, lipstick, small tube of sunscreen, face wipes and my rain poncho (which I folded up small - but it fit) the outside pocket is great for tickets and cash...easy to get to. It's worn across the body or over your shoulder...I prefer across the body..you don't even know it's there and it looks great.

It does not look dorky, holds everything and I use it more than my other bags when I'm home. Great for shopping - hands free and so stylish. I got lots of compliments on it...espically at WDW. It may be pricey to some but if you use it all the time..it is a great investment. I love mine  A fanny pack is something that you can only wear in WDW...this is great everywhere.

Planning on wearing mine, DH is also wearing one whether he knows it or not. With five kids that is going to be a lot of tickets and dining cards to keep track of. They are the handiest thing and you don't have to worry about losing anything out of them.

Thanks!! I am looking on ebags for one now. It's going to be so much more convenient with the "waist bag"! I'm going to see if my mom wants one too.

BTW, if you happen to have a Container Store nearby, they sell the baggallini that I gave the link to on ebags. That is where I purchased mine. Glad I could help.

Never worn a fanny pack before, but seriously considering it this time. DH and I usually take turns carrying a backpack, but I'm sick of the canvas fabric making little "pills" all over the the backs of my shirts. We'll also have DD's stroller basket for larger items, so we won't have to carry so much on our persons; just tickets, sunglasses, and cameras.

I used to carry a fanny pack (only in Disney! Never EVER anywhere else...LOL) but now I carry my Vera Bradley backpack, which I like much better (and it's stylish too!)

My boys wear the fanny packs to hold their pens, autograph books, extra snacks, sunglasses, etc. My Dh just gives all his stuff to me to hold  so no fanny pack for him!

I wore a fanny pack for my two WDW trips Sept. 2004 and Jan. 2005. I loved it, BUT I still would rather not carry anything at all. So instead, I got some AWESOME cargo shorts and made sure they fit my camera. Used my room key for everything else! Oh, and I pocketed some chapstick too :)

Ok - This post just talked me into using a fanny pack next week - thanks for posting it!

Fanny packs...I used to use one, but over time I discovered I needed to carry a lot more stuff (bottled water, sunscreen, rain ponchos, camcorder, etc.), so I use a backpack these days. DH usually offers to carry it, but I carry it on the rides (so DH can hold on tight!).
