We started out with a handicapped accessible room, which was fine. It had a king size bed (which I did not request), but the bathroom was a shower (minus the tub) with a curtain that pulled across and a drain in the floor, right next to the toilet, so the whole floor got wet when you showered- minor annoyance I could have lived with, though. Anyway, the sliding pocket door broke off the track the first morning, making it nearly impossible to open and close. I called right awayand they said they'd fix it. When we returned late that night, the door was not fixed and was jammed partly closed and covered with greasy hand prints. We had a message on our phone stating they'd tried to fix it but needed a carpenter and would be back the next morning. So, to use the toilet, you had to squeeze through the partially open door...and what's more romantic on your honeymoon than saying, "Don't come over here, darling, I'm on the toilet"? We went to the parks that day and cameback to shower before dinner and the door was still broken- no message this time. I called the front desk and was eventually connected with "Marcel". He was very nice and I said I'd like to change rooms and felt we had given them enought time to fix the door. He said the resort was filled and I even offered to move to another value resort. He called back and said they did have a room, but it was not in a preferred location, so he would credit my account for the difference and also credit me for one night's stay. Great. I was happy with that. We moved rooms, I took my shoes off, and our carpet was soaked- the whole thing! I called the fron desk and they said it must have been shampooed and they'd send someone out to dry it. They brought some big fans in and we never did get our shower before dinner.
When we returned from dinner, the fans were gone and the carpet was dry but every now and then I'd get a wiff of vomit and one of the spare pillows reeked of it. We also had no ironing board and no drain plug. We called to ask for a drain plug one night around 10 p.m. and front desk said they'd send it right away. After an hour we called back and they said it'd be there soon. At midnight we went to bed. We also found ants several times on things on the shelf near the bathroom (the one above the ironing board, where the pillows are) and those things weren't food items- they were toiletries and such. Overall, I was really not happy with our stay. I have had many stays on property (including ASMO two other times) at resorts of varying prices, but this stay was a flop. Luckily, every single other aspect of our trip was perfectly magical!
