Me too. I have actually started making an inventory to be checked off before we leave.

The best way to check is have one adult do it, after everyone is out of the room. Drawers, cabinets, closest, around the edge of the bed, balcony, wall sockets. etc. We seem to always find something.

I am too, a bit obsessive about a thorough room check. It wasn't at Disney, but earlier this year, my kids left their Nintendo game case in a cabinet in our hotel room (they insisted to me that they checked all the drawers, cabinets, etc.) There were dozens of DS games in there.....we called the hotel & told them which room and which cabinet....no luck. We're talking several hundred dollars worth of games. I still get sick when I think about it. For some reason people don't think FINDING someone's lost items is the same as STEALING them...I think it's capitalizing on someone else's misfortune and almost as bad. Needless to say, mom does the room checks now.

I check about 3 times during the course of packing. Having spent my childhood constantly moving every year or more I learned to always check drawers etc. My son left his winter jacket on the monorail last winter and it was never found. It was not that big of a deal in my mind because he needed a new one anyway. But in a way it worked out as he is becoming much better about not leaving things behind.

On a funny note, when we moved into our last house I opened a drawer and found a bag of hershey kisses, a flashlight and a vibrator. The previous owner showed up later that afternoon to check the drawer. I think he was hoping I had not noticed. I told him I threw it all out and he about ran to his car beet red

That's exactly why we have one in our Owner's Locker!

I haven't left anything behind in a DVC room, but I have found stuff!
