Who remembers the switch from tickets to passports?

I was looking through some old vacation stuff and found a cardboard Disney passport on a string that we got when my parents took us way back when :scared1: Ok, so I feel old, but it was cool to look at! I remember by Dad being so psyched that he didn't have to plan out how many A tickets, E tickets, etc. :cloud9: Anybody else remember when they made that change? Come on, admit it....it's ok! :lmao:
 
I only read about it in the history books:rolleyes1 ...but I still refer to certain things as "E-ticket rides!"
 
I remember my dad having to buy more tickets at the little kiosk over by Winnie the Pooh. It turned into a Kodak film shop later on, I don't know if it's still there or not. When they switched, we took all our old A and B tickets and traded them in for several passports. I have a few "universal" tickets left over somewhere, the extras that weren't enough to trade for another full day. I actually used a "stringed" passport's final day a few years ago. I had to go to guest services to exchange it for a ticket that could be scanned, but they let me save the old one for my scrapbook (clearly marked void). It was a junior two day passport for MK only, the price on the back was $18.:eek:
 
I have a picture of me as a child wearing my ticket on a string around my neck!
 

I remember wearing them pinned to our shirt with a large round pin in the middle. We were so excited when they made the switch....unlimited E-ticket rides!
 
I remember them, in fact, I still have one. The adult Magic Kingdom Club passport was $11 for Disneyland.
 
I remember the ticket books with the A, B & E tickets. I didn't go for a few years (like 8 or 9 years) but when I came back, they had gone to the credit card sized ticket that scanned through at the entry turnstile...

We were there a year after WDW opened remember the A B and E tickets fondly. Like you came across while cleaning a 3 Day World Passport Magic Kingdom Club ticket for a child cost $44.00, hand stamped with the dates June 20,21 and 22, 1986 along with that found a Epcot Center Car Parking ticket cost $2.00.

Guilty as charged...I remember the ticket books from Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom Club too.
