Who remembers Dick and Jane books?

Who remembers Penny and Pam? They were friends of Dick and Jane's. I believe they were twins and may have had a brother named Mike?

Loved those books. This takes me back. Thanks Pin Wizard.

You're welcome, IMGONNABE40! :) Penny and Pam? Hmmm...I don't remember them.

I learned to read from Dick & Jane books also. :sunny:

Just tonight, we were at Costco and, they had a rather large, hard-covered book with many of the Dick & Jane stories. It was under $10 I think. I stood there showing DD(6) what MY reading books used to be like. She couldn't care less. I used the Bob books at home to teach her to read because I couldn't find Dick & Jane (reasonably priced) when I started teaching her. Now, she's way beyond needing them. :(

I saw a large display of them at Barnes & Noble the other night.

Did your teacher have the great big book that she set up in front of the class? We had our chairs arranged in a semi-circle around the big book. It was huge. Must have been at least poster board size.

I remember, they also did a movie tkae off in the 70,s with the same title, think it had George Segal in it,

Yes, I saw that. It's called Fun with Dick and Jane.

Nope. She didn't have that. That would have been Sr. Erma. I remember my mom telling me that at 40 she quit being a nun, got married and had a kid.
