was a WARM month? Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...it's only 54 degress outside in the middle of April. And I seem to remember May 13, 1990 being a cold evening...LOL! A friend of mine was married that day, and we were up for the wedding. We had steam coming from our breath in the evening. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

What I remember is having very high hopes that it would be warm for April when I was little. I watched the thermometer every day because it meant that maybe, just maybe, we could open our pool in time for my birthday which is in May. But my mother would always remind me that no, dear child, this is New England, it doesn't get warm until June..... The pool never was opened in time for my birthday, ever.

DH remembers snow on his birthday - April 3 - when he was a kid. His folks let him ride his new bike in the house.

Are you kidding, I live in CHICAGO!!! :p

This past Mon was the Cubs Home opener, the wind chills were in the 20's. Today, high in the upper 70's and I may have to turn the AC on tomorrow.

My bday is in April and more than once, I remember snow on the ground and not being able to have my party outside.

So to answer your question, I can say , yes I remember that weather in April to anything you ask, warm, cold, snow, sleet, rain........ :teeth:

What I remember is always being told "April showers bring May flowers."

I have an April B-day as well and remember party activities that were supposed to be outside getting moved indoors because of the weather.

Since moving to Arizona - we just hope the triple digit temperatures hold off until at least May!

Off topic but:

If April showers bring May flowers, what do Mayflowers bring?

I grew up in Illinois. This year down in Texas we had a chilly Easter...which made me tell the kids about the WHITE Easters I remember growing up.

Is anyone from Central Illinois? In 1978 or 1979 there was a huge Easter weekend ice storm...damaged tons of trees. The icicles hanging off the trees were 12-24 inches long. Well, the Monday after Easter it was 70 degrees. The icicles were falling off the trees like spears! I'm surprised no one got impaled!
