Not necessarily the designs, but the extra layer of warmth for sleeping.

Anyone else agree?

We like keeping our room cooler but turning the ac to a less cool temp tends to make things uncomfortable.

I particularly dislike the rigid sheets sandwiching a very thin blanket theme they got going on.

When they stopped using them a bunch went online auction. I bought one from POR and POFQ. They are extremely heavy and not fun to wash but I get a Disney bedroom all year round.

I actually like the white sheet look on beds. It looks far cleaner!!

I agree about the warmth thing though. My sofa bed at AOA didn't have have a blanket layer in between so I was cold sometimes only sleeping under a thin sheet!

I feel this way about a lot of hotels lately. If you're only giving me a few sheets, at least keep a few extra blankets in the closet! Brrr.

I prefer when they do the big fluffy comforters with a clean white duvet.

There is a Disney Resort store off property where you can buy resort items like comforters, lamps, desks, and other stuff. Used to remember the name, but old age is creeping in.

I like the white sheet look too but miss the weight of the blanket. I like to have the room cold with a warm comforter on the bed. The Swan has wonderful bedding (from the mattress, to the pillow, to the sheets and the comforter...all in white). My whole family slept well there.

I dislike that almost all Resorts have now done this. I am a cold person by nature and miss having something big and bulky to cover with :( I am not a person to like the feel of sheets on me either, it makes me feel even colder. The 2 sheets with the barely warm blanket in the middle doesn't jive with me...LOL DH is a hotbox on the other hand and loves it !

last year at CBR I had to request extra blankets for kids and myself we were freezing at night but if we put the AC off the room got too sticky! I miss the comforters for sure...if they could have replaced them with a nice white one that would have been lovely

Wow! I am glad I'm not the only one :) I agree with all of you about personality and warmth.
I enjoy the fluffy comforters too :)

Im here at POR and yes, had to ask for more blankets.

If you remember, please let me know :) I'd love to find the newest POFQ comforters (or POR Royal Room)

I absolutely love that they got rid of them. It's a more clean fresher look for the rooms now and I prefer it much more. They should store extra blankets in the rooms though. I do like the layering of the sheets with the blanket, I never had an issue at night and always kept warm. We never used the comforters over the years, I never even liked sitting on them lol. We always pulled them down to the end of the bed when coming back to relax/nap and at night when we went to sleep.

Yes, I agree with the extra blankets. I do understand the cleaner look (and easier for laundry) and if they must keep it like this, the extra blankets would be much appreciated.

Also, I see your upcoming visit is in a royal room! We are in one right now! If you want a specific picture or detail or something, feel free to ask :)

Happy happy happy they are gone. We never used them (icky) and always pushed them off at night. They mean I won't have a dirty comforter on my bed on arrival. Love the new clean bright look and you have the theme in the runner.

Most hotels seem to be going this route and I can't blame them. Their linen costs are not as high and the laundering of them is a breeze. I doubt you'll see extra blankets in the rooms at Disney - I think it's one resort group you will see them disappear with guests. We actually travel with big fleece throws so we have our own but you can call housekeeping and request them.

Thank you! You are so lucky! They are my favorite rooms to stay in! I stayed in one in 2013 and loved them ! What building are you in? We were in bldg 90, facing the nice fountain the courtyard.

We had a cold snap during our stay a couple of winters ago, and when we returned to our POR room, there was an extra blanket on each bed! So nice.
