Who made Michelle Obama's dress? It's beautiful!

The one she wore for the inauguration today? I heard them say it a low named independant designer. I bet she will get a lot of business now! :)

The ball gown? Rodriguez, I think they said. A cuban designer.

I think its ugly-like a 1970's prom dress.......she looks good in sleek design and bold colors, IMO

The gold dress was I Isador Toledo....according to Toledo's husband they didn't even know that she was wearing the dress until they saw it.

I usually like her wardrobe, but this looks like my grandmother's bedspread to me.:confused3

The Cuban American designer designed the outfit she wore to the swearing in ceremony this afternoon.

Ah, yeah. I think it looks like an appliqued beadspread as well. I'm sure it's beautiful but looks bad on TV.

Isabel Toledo

The gold daytime outfit was Isabel Toledo.

The ballgown she is wearing now was Jason Wu.

:)

I didn't love the color of the daytime outfit, but she wore it well.

I love the ballgown she's wearing tonight. I just love Michelle Obama's style in general.

.

Be afraid...I thought the same thing!!!!:lmao:

I also thought "whats with the Wilma Flinstone one shoulder strap"...Did you???

:crazy2: Yikes I am turnin into Joan Rivers.

I thought it was a shade of green , that is what it looked like on my TV not gold. Or are your talking about another dress?

She wore green gloves.:confused3 She must have been freezing though. Didn't even put a coat on like he did for the parade.

She needs a wide gown so she can boogie down tonight. The girl doesn't want to bust a seam! :thumbsup2

The dress at the inauguration was gold on my tv.

And I was talking about the dress at the ball, just for clarification. Thanks for telling me everyone! Jason Wu.

The first lady was clad in a long white gown designed by up-and-coming designer Jason Wu.....

The First Lady wore one of Jason's designs in a Barbara Walters interview as well. You might remember it...it was a sleeveless ivory raw-silk dress with hand-embroidered rosettes.

I'm sure this young Taiwan-born American fashion designer is beside himself tonight to think she's selected him twice! If you look at his designs (besides the bedspread :) ), I think they're very good. Tonights gown will look just fine in the Smithsonian, I'm sure!

Isabel Toledo indeed designed the beautiful dress she wore for the Inauguration Ceremony. She looked great in that!

While I don't care for the Obama's, I do have to say she looked nice in the gold dress, very Jackie Kennedy, but what is up with that awful white toga party dress and daytime hair :rolleyes2

Suzanne

I didn't care much for either outfit. I think she has a great shape and she holds herself very well and neither of those outfits showcased that.

I liked today's outfit. That gown though is not flattering.... at least not on TV.

I like the style of the white gown but the fabric seems weird to me. I'm not crazy about it.
