Who knows how to get the real (not online) VMK pin?

Apparently there's a VMK pin that's available - a real pin, a colorful one, not just the gold one that VMK Central castmembers wear. Anybody know how to get it?

From what I know, the new pin is a blue/green colored version of the gold pin that VMK CMs wear. There are pictures of it floating around on this board. There were X number of prototypes made and given to some CMs who work at VMK Central. I've heard that eventually this will be the first real VMK item that will be available for us to buy, but I haven't yet heard a date on it. Hope it's soon tho' cause I want one

And, speaking of VMK pins, I would still *really like* Disney to sell a Disney VMK nametag. You can get ones with Figment on 'em, or Simba, or some princesses, etc. etc. - why not a VMK one?

I remember when the pirate prison room came out and the room cards were selling for over $100.00 on E-Bay. Now I have been seeing them end with no bids at $5.00

i saw that on ebay once i heard you can get the vmk cards on ebay....(i wonder how the staff is reacting that), but yeah i was thinking i never saw a real pin at disneyland when i went, guess i have to check next year when i go...

That is one of my best friends dumbogal (DizPinFriend in VMK) who I sent one of the VMK pins for christmas, she's a hardcore collector and is one of the nicest people anyone can meet in VMK!

I told the VMK CM gal that I was the one who created -Virtual Splash Mountain- and formed the team, and asked if she knew who I was. She did. When I cashed in on insider tour cards, she hooked each of them up with a pin. I doubt it was my bragging, but my guess is, is that it's a very temporary compensation prize for the lack of a tour.

More of the real pins are on ebay. They claim that from Christmas Day to New Years Eve anyone who did all the quests recieved this pin. Instead of the tour. And it's an official Disneyland collectors pin! Pretty serious stuff!

I stopped by VMK central on Tuesday. I asked about the pin. They said they stopped giving the pin away and they stopped giving away the tour packs. I asked if I could buy a pin, they said no.

Sadly, this is absolutely correct. I stopped in with a friend to do the tour on 12/29 and was told "no, not holding it any more." We were NOT offered the pin, despite having a tour card from a previous trip and having the quests done. We stopped back on 1/2 to turn in quests again (day passes ) and asked about the pin and it's expected release. At that point we were told about the pin being given out during the week between Christmas & New Years. Oh man, did the fireworks spark then. The CM said there wasn't anything she could do, but she did give us the name of the area manager who has the pins. We plan on contacting her to discuss the issue.

This is yet another example of VMK not upholding the magic

Hopefully we'll have a positive resolution.

So, no more tours or anything? I'm going to the Magic Kingdom next Friday and I was hoping I could get in on a tour, or at least some fun prizes. (I haven't been on the forums in a while; work, etc.)

I went to MK on the Monday after Christmas (12/26) with someone who did *all* of the quests and was given the Pirates card pack as a prize. We weren't offered this pin, and in fact I didn't even see anyone wearing it.

Maybe the pin was a Disneyland-only thing.
