Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

It's been a while since I updated so let's see if I can refresh your memory a bit. We ate at Pecos Bill's where John made this condiment salad:

After lunch, we moseyed on over to Pirates.....

...where we saw this...

102_4151-1.jpg

...and this.....

102_4152-1.jpg

...let me rephrase that....Hunter and I saw the above and John did this:

After John's little nappy-poo and my pit stop...

102_4157-1.jpg

....we made our way through Adventureland and over to the pathway around the castle....

....where...holy snikey (sorry, Tommy Boy movie reference)....we saw this....

Move out of our way people, we have Fastpasses to see Peter Pan and the Lost Boys! I was thanking my lucky stars that we had Fastpasses because the line to Peter Pan's Flight was even longer than it was earlier in the day. We flashed our Fastpasses to the castmember and we were motioned on in. Soon, we were aboard our pirate ships and soaring high above the rooftops. I decided to try my hand at taking pictures and was surprised that some of them turned out pretty darn good considering that my camera is just a little point and shoot.

Here's one of Hunter in the pirate ship in front of us. I notice he has a camera in his hand which means I have more Magic Kingdom pictures somewhere. I need to go look for those.

All too soon, our flight was over and we were back in the midst of the crowds:

**And this is where I need to stop because I have more pictures from the Magic Kingdom that I have to find and upload to Photobucket. Hey, I'm just glad that Photobucket stayed up and running long enough for me to post this installment.

Hellloooooo humans!:earsboy: (wish there was a Mike Wozowski smiley) I hope that everybody's doing okay. It's been super busy around our household:

1) Wedding planning for Lacey;

A busy life makes the time go faster (until the next trip, or wedding), but it can be tiring too! But wedding planning is so much fun (been doing a bit of that myself this week). :goodvibes

2) Wedding gift shopping for my nephew and his fiance. I do NOT want to go to this bridal shower because they are fancy smancy kinda people and ya'll know I'm not fancy smancy. To give you an idea of what kind of people they are, they've been featured on Toddlers and Tiaras a couple of times. :sad2: and she went all the way to Canada to pick out her wedding dress.

Ugh, Toddlers and Tiaras, I don't like that show. I do not understand these people, and I agree with you that I wouldn't to go to a fancy schmany bridal shower. :headache:

5) My aunt had her blood work done yesterday and has pre-op tomorrow for her surgery set for Thursday. My mother has been taking her back and forth to her appointments so that her kids can take off work to take care of her when she does have the surgery and when she goes home.
Good luck to your aunt for her surgery!

At least in the middle of all the chaos, we've had some good news. We are getting over $1,000 more than normal back on our income tax refund which means we are definitely going to Cirque de Soliel in May!

Woohoo! That is good news. I saw a different Cirque du Soleil show last summer, they are always so exquisite. :cloud9:

Oh and this morning I got a call from Lacey's former Mission leaders and they want to go to Disney on April 28th for four days. They have two kids and wanted to make the most of their time without getting too tired with two little ones. I've been helping them decide where to stay, what to see, etc.

I love helping others plan their Disney trip. Makes me miss the mouse a little less. :thumbsup2

Sooooooooo......enough excuses about not getting caught up on my own thread. I'm heading over to see if Photobucket is playing nice today and let's me pull up my pictures. If so, I'll be posting an installment soon.

Looking forward to it! :)
ETA. Nevermind, you posted your new installement as I was typing this.

Wow! Life has been busy!

Sending positive thoughts for aunt during her surgery and recovery.

Great update. My family loves Peter Pan- you did get some nice pictures! It is so hard on that ride. Love the ones of the houses in London and the tea party!

We are having a super busy week here this week. But I think you have me beat!

I hope all goes well for your aunt I'll be thinking of her.

Yippie!!! on the extra money and Johns bid on the job!

I hope you make it through the fancy smancy bridal shower that doesn't sound like my kinda thing either. I just want to relax and have a good time.

I thought the first picture you posted of the crowd was bad but my gosh the picture of the crowd when you got out of Peter Pan is just plain scary.

You are missing a picture from the Peter Pan ride. Where is the picture of John sleeping? I am getting a kick out of seeing him nap though the various attractions.

Hey Lisa!

I was just thinking today that I hadn't seen you around in a while.

Sorry to hear that life is going nutso right now. I can completely sympathize!

Glad to hear your aunt's surgery is moving forward. Keep us updated on how it goes!

Peter Pan is such a fun ride. You got a cool shot of Hunter taking pictures on Peter Pan!

I hate that bottleneck going between Fantasyland and Liberty Square. The crowds get so crazy right there. :scared1: During peak times, we'll sometimes walk all the way around the Castle to avoid the people.

Hi Lisa! Wow! You sure have been a busy bee lately!!! Glad everything is going well! Been a little crazy around here lately! DH was injured at work! :scared1: He hurt his ankle pretty bad, torn ligaments & such. So he has been walking around like this :crutches: :rotfl: Not that I should be laughing! Espcially since it seems like I'm taking care of not one but two kids now!!! He is going through workmans comp so of course the Drs he has been seeing aren't too bright! They actually have him back at work today already on "lite" duty. So basically he's just sitting in a chair all day on the computer! He hates it! Well, at least my life is getting back to normal since he's not here all day! :lmao: Well, can't wait to hear more about Magic Kingdom!!! Take Care!

Thanks, we are hoping that the surgery goes well.

We love Peter Pan too but the lines are always so long. Thank goodness for Fastpasses!

I'll be so happy when things settle down around out household. We were jumping for joy when we found out about the extra $ and John getting the job. More wedding and Disney money!

I'm not looking forward to the bridal shower but I know it's something I have got to do. Every time I have ever hosted a bridal shower or baby shower, it was casual dress and everybody came to have a good time. I know that won't be the case with this one.

Weren't the crowds awful! It was almost claustrophic.

I couldn't believe that John didn't fall asleep either. Well, come to think about it, he did have a little nap on Pirates so he wasn't due for another one just yet.

Lisa, I won't get to everything, but here's what I remember:

1) John fell asleep again???? Why does that not surprise me? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

2) I hope your Aunt's surgery goes well

3) :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for extra tax dollars (as you know, our "tax dollars" are going for a second trip to Florida...but then we've not had a refund in over six years...we've had to pay)

4) I hope Lacey's travels are safe and without any issues

Let's add a little more chaos into our mix shall we? I've been on and off the phone with Lacey for about an hour and a half now. She called me and was sitting still on the interstate (on the way to Tennessee). She said that earlier they were able to inch forward little by little and the car seemed to be "bumping" when the tire rolled forward. What do you mean "bumping"? She said it was a little thudding/bumping sound as she moved forward. Great! NOT!

There really wasn't a whole lot she could do about it right then because she was literally sitting still on the interstate. I told her when she started going again, to pull off on the nearest exit and get out and look at the tire to see if it was flat, if it looked low, etc.

She called back and said that there was a couple in the car next to her and they had their window rolled down and she asked the guy if it looked like anything was wrong with the tire. He said he couldn't really tell. After they rolled forward a little more, the guy yelled over that it did look like it was a little wobbly. Great! NOT!

Again, I told her to wait until she started moving and then get off the interstate as soon as she could to check it out. After about 20 minutes or so, she called again and said that the....get this....."sticky-up bumpy things on the tire" were "ripped". I'm laughing now but at the time all I could think of was that the tire was in shreds and she was in the middle of Timbuktu. She had called Jesse's dad who said to call AAA and they would come and change the tire. Guess what? Someone who I choose not to name (insert ME) forgot to renew the AAA membership last month. No more AAA. Great! NOT! (I know, I am repeating myself but I feel the need to right now.:rolleyes1)

Now I'm not one to curse but when and if I do I say the "S" word. I said the "S" word. I know Lord I am sorry but I couldn't help myself.

Lacey talked to Jesse's dad again and he said he'd call AAA and get them to come under his membership.

Then, I said something that I totally regret. I feel so very bad that I did and I have apologized. What did I say? I said "I know if Jesse were just 60 miles from our house and his truck was broke down, I'd be on the interstate going to get him." You may be thinking "Why is that such a bad thing to say?". Well, it's because all of Jesse's family is at the hospital right now with his grandmother who could die at any moment. They called the family in last night and told them they should all say their goodbyes to her. I had totally forgotton about that.

Good gosh! Here I am worried about a doggone $125.00 tire when Jesse's grandmother is dying. Actually, it wasn't just the tire I was worried about, I was worried about Lacey being stranded on the side of the interstate almost 600 miles away from home and neither her daddy nor I could get there right away and fix the problem. That's what was really scary to me.

Anyway, I've apologized for spurting that out and she is now driving on a spare to Knoxville. I've already searched for places to get her a new tire and transferred money into her account to buy it.

Like my Papaw used to say "If it ain't one thing, it's another."

Sorry to hear Lacey's tire troubles. I do say this, once you've put your foot in your mouth; it doesn't leave any room to do it again!

Continuing prayers for Jesse's family. It sure seems lkke they have hit their limit of heartache this year!

Carey

Lisa-Don't feel the least bit guilty about what you said-i would have done the same b/c NOTHING comes before the safety of my children!!! I would do the same for their friends, who are like my children too. My DD17 is leaving us this August for LSU and i am about to fall to pieces over thinking about her driving alone but i know i have to let her go!!

Lisa, what happened to our pact that things were going to go more smoothly and be better in 2011. Poor Lacey. And I can understand your frustration and forgetting about Jesse's grandma.

So sorry to hear about the trobles and especialy Jesse's grandma. My grandmother just passed away Thursday and we had her funeral on Sunday so I know what he's going through it was a long week of up and downs at the hospital before she passed. I'll say a prayer for his family and I hope everything else goes well.

Oh no! who changed the tire for her?
I get scared with stuff like that. When I used to deliver parts and drove al lday it always got worried if things didn't feel right...and I had good reason. One time I was driving very slowly, stop and gop in contruction, and I hit a bump where the had peeled up some of the road....and my driver side front tire went flying off! And down the front went. Luckily the tire went flying into the field and didn't hit any of the workers...and lucky for me I was only going at a crawl. And my employer...they only worried about making the deliveries. The sent a guy out with another van, that guy sat with my van till it was towed and I took the other van filled with the afternoon run. And I shook the entire rest of the day too!

Oh Poor Lacey. I hope everything worked out ok and she got the tire changed. That is so stressful when you are so far away and can't do anything.

Last update was great. I am so amazed by those pictures you got in Pirates and in Peter Pan. They are like being there. Thanks. I needed that!

Wow.... Really??? more crap you have to deal with??? Sorry to hear about Jesse's grandmother. Did you just find out today? I hope everything turns out okay. Yall are in my prayers.
