Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Gosh, Lisa. Once again, when it rains it pours! I hope the weather pattern changes and the sun starts to shine more brightly for your family and Jesse's! Did Lacey arrive at her destination?

Oh boy Lisa....Don't you just want to stop the merry-go-round and get off??

I know how much you worry about Lacey when she travels so I understand how difficult this was. Sometimes our mouths just get ahead of us and stuff jumps out before we can think it through! Been there! I hope that all worked out and Lacey made it to her destination.

I'll be saying a prayer for Jesse's grandma. I'm sure it's a difficult time for the family.

I hope you have a better day today....full of only GOOD news! :goodvibes

Oh! Lisa I am so sorry for all your chaos; poor Lacey....I know you will be so relieved when she is at her destination and a new tire on her car.

Don't beat yourself up about the "open mouth insert foot" moment, you were upset and thinking and I believe we are all guilty of it at one point or another. I will be sure to add Jesse's family to my prayers in this difficult time.

try and have a great day!

I'm sorry Lacey had a tire problem, at least she was able to get the spare put on. I have had a lot of trouble with flats in my earlier Home Health days and I eventually learned to change them myself but I know how much of a pain it is, then to have to go get a new one while she is out of town. I'm so sorry about Jesse's grandmother, my prayers go to his family, they have had more than their share of sorrow lately, haven't they?

Sorry to hear Lacey's tire troubles. I do say this, once you've put your foot in your mouth; it doesn't leave any room to do it again!

Continuing prayers for Jesse's family. It sure seems lkke they have hit their limit of heartache this year!

Carey

Actually, I have a pretty small foot and a great big mouth so I'm sure I had a bit more room! :lmao:

I feel so badly for Jesse's family. They have had more than their share to deal with lately.

Lisa-Don't feel the least bit guilty about what you said-i would have done the same b/c NOTHING comes before the safety of my children!!! I would do the same for their friends, who are like my children too. My DD17 is leaving us this August for LSU and i am about to fall to pieces over thinking about her driving alone but i know i have to let her go!!

I hate that I said what I did but that's what I was thinking at the time. My baby girl was stranded and I really couldn't do anything about it.

I can certainly sympathize with you. Every time Lacey would drive home from Georgia, I'd be a nervous wreck. My boss knew that I would be getting phone calls from Lacey all day long and he wasn't to say a darn thing about it.:rotfl:

Lisa, what happened to our pact that things were going to go more smoothly and be better in 2011. Poor Lacey. And I can understand your frustration and forgetting about Jesse's grandma.

I know! Crap just seems to keep happening to us, Kathy. But, you and I have both had a bit of good news in the last couple of days so maybe things are going to start looking up again for us both.

So sorry to hear about the trobles and especialy Jesse's grandma. My grandmother just passed away Thursday and we had her funeral on Sunday so I know what he's going through it was a long week of up and downs at the hospital before she passed. I'll say a prayer for his family and I hope everything else goes well.

I am so very sorry for your loss. When my grandmother died of Alzheimer's, she was my last living grandparent and it hit me pretty hard. Jesse's grandmother is his last living grandparent too and I just hate it for him.

Oh no! who changed the tire for her?
I get scared with stuff like that. When I used to deliver parts and drove al lday it always got worried if things didn't feel right...and I had good reason. One time I was driving very slowly, stop and gop in contruction, and I hit a bump where the had peeled up some of the road....and my driver side front tire went flying off! And down the front went. Luckily the tire went flying into the field and didn't hit any of the workers...and lucky for me I was only going at a crawl. And my employer...they only worried about making the deliveries. The sent a guy out with another van, that guy sat with my van till it was towed and I took the other van filled with the afternoon run. And I shook the entire rest of the day too!

AAA came under Jesse's dad's membership and changed the tire for her. Lacey knows how to change a tire and could have done it herself. But, I didn't want anyone to see her there by herself, changing her own tire, and looking vulnerable. You can't be too careful now-a-days.

Sometimes bosses drive me nuts. It's like you can tell them your sad story and they want to one-up you.

Oh Poor Lacey. I hope everything worked out ok and she got the tire changed. That is so stressful when you are so far away and can't do anything.

Last update was great. I am so amazed by those pictures you got in Pirates and in Peter Pan. They are like being there. Thanks. I needed that!

Everything did work itself out, thank goodness. Like you said, what stressed me out was knowing she was that far away and I was pretty much helpless.

Wow.... Really??? more crap you have to deal with??? Sorry to hear about Jesse's grandmother. Did you just find out today? I hope everything turns out okay. Yall are in my prayers.

I know! Jesse's grandmother has been in and out of the hospital (mostly in) since before Christmas. She was doing pretty good the last time I asked about her and then, suddenly, she took a turn for the worse. Thank you so much for the prayers.

It feels like we are in a flood around here! Lacey did arrive safely and is now in the process of getting a new tire put on the car.

My merry-go-round was spinning so fast I thought I was gonna puke.

I hated that I didn't think before I spoke but I've apologized and Lacey knows I was just worried.

Please keep Jesse's family in your prayers. His grandmother is barely hanging on and they hope the Lord takes her soon.

I was so happy to get the call from Lacey saying she was at Jesse's house. I'm always worried when she travels that far by herself.

My "open mouth insert foot" moment was one I instantly regretted but I couldn't do anything other than apologize.

I'm sorry Lacey had a tire problem, at least she was able to get the spare put on. John taught Lacey how to change a tire so she could have done it if she needed to. I just hated to have her looking all alone and vulnerable on the side of the road in a strange town.

Thank you for the prayers. I will be sure to tell Jesse that all of you are praying for his family.

Thought I'd post a life update.

First, Lacey arrived safely in Knoxville, Tennessee. :yay: I have the money transferrred into her account for the tire and they are supposed to get it put on either this afternoon or tomorrow. She and Jesse were supposed to have their engagement pictures taken today but it's cold and rainy there so it's a no-go for today. They aren't sure when it can be rescheduled due to Jesse's work schedule and the photographer's schedule. I just hope they can do it while she is there. Otherwise, they may have to wait until Jesse comes here in April and take pictures here in Louisiana.

Second, my mother called right before lunch and said that my aunt's surgery went well and that the doctor successfully corrected the problem. He said the pocket in her esophagus was so large that he split it down the middle and stapled the two flaps (for loss of a better word) onto each side of her esophagus. I think that they also said they were going to dilate her esophagus but Mama didn't say anything about that when I spoke to her earlier.

Third, Jesse's grandmother is still hanging on by a thread. They are all exhausted and hope that the Lord takes her soon. I told Jesse that you were all praying for his family and he said to pass along a heartfelt thank you.

Now, on to a Disney update or a semi-Disney update. I have what I think are the last of my Magic Kingdom pictures uploaded to Photobucket and, so far, Photobucket is on it's best behavior and hasn't frozen up today. Hopefully, I can get an installment posted soon.

Glad Lacey got there safely; stupid weather....it's not supposed to rain on photo day. I can understand Jesse's family being exhausted; I remember the last two days in the hospital with my dad and the waiting for him to go.

Yeah for a Disney update coming (I posted on the last one, but I think you missed it because I posted right before you posted about Lacey's tire trouble).

I'm so glad Lacey arrived safely! :goodvibes

I really hope they can get engagement pics done while she is visiting...if the weather there is anything like it is here, you'll have to catch a pretty big break. It's supposed to be rainy all weekend! YUCK! In Upstate NY, that means MUD!

I'll continue to pray for Jesse's grandmother. I'm sure it's sad, but sometimes a peaceful passing is the best thing to pray for.

Good news about your aunt. Gross visuals, but good news! :rotfl:

Just finished catching up on your trip report. Great job!!! Our family last visited Disney World in 2009 and your report has me itching to get back.

I'm so glad Lacey made it. Car problems are the WORST. I'm happy to hear your Aunt's surgery was a success, too! Jesse's family has been through SO much lately. My heart goes out to them. :sad1:

I am happy Lacey made it safely to Tennesse. Hopefully they can get their pics done.

I am glad your Aint's surgery went well. Waiting is the worst part.

I am send lots of prayers and pixie dust your way for both yours and Jesse's families.

Wish I lived closer to you, I would be more than happy to take their photos, for free, at their convinience. I'm not a professional at portraits, but I'm having a blast learning. Too bad they couldn't get the photos taken in front of the castle. Or is that just too over-the-top Disney freakish? :lmao:

I'm so glad Lacey made it safely. You just can't help but worry when they are on the road anyway, and then to have that happen is the pits. Sorry about Jessie's grandmother but really happy for your aunt's good surgery outcome. Hope she recuperates well and quickly.

Happy to hear that Lacey made it safely to TN. Tire issues can be scary if not taken care of right away. (I had one separate while traveling down the highway in NJ... I watched it go across a lane of traffic to the left and hit the barrier, while I had to then cross 4 lanes to pull over... not very fun. Of course, it was my fault as I didn't bother to have it looked at when it was constantly getting low...)

Also happy to hear that everything went well with your Aunt.

And lastly, I can completely sympathize with Jesse. At least he's there with his family during these times. It does make a difference having others around. I went through similar stuff last year, and it stinks, but having family around will help them all a ton.

I'm sorry to hear about Lacey's car troubles I know that must have been very scarey for you. Glad everything is ok with the car now. I'm sending some good weather thoughts her way so she can get her pictures.

Its good to hear your aunt's surgery went well and I hope she feels better soon.

I hope Jesse's grandmother passes on peacefully if thats the best thing for her.

I can't wait to see what happens next on your MK day.

Hi there!!! I am now caught up on your TR - great job!!! Looks like you guys had a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

I'm sorry to hear that life has been so stressful lately! Hope things calm down soon! And don't beat yourself up over your foot in mouth situation (easier said than done, I know). I say those cringeworthy things a bit more than I wish (sometimes they just come out of nowhere, right?), I'm sure that nobody is stressing about what you said!
