Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Lacey is terrified of any sorts of flying bug....honey bees, bumble bees, beetles and even moths.

When I was a little girl, probably about 4 or 5, I was playing in a storage building we had on our property while my parents were mowing. I saw them waving their hands at me but I couldn't hear what they were saying because of the lawn mowers. I came out of the building and was immediately covered in bees. :scared1: My parents came over and threw me on the ground and were, literally, pulling bees off of me. My entire body was covered in bee stings and my parents' hands were stung up as well. They spent the night in the car outside the hospital because they were afraid I would might have an allergic reaction. Thankfully, I did not. So, you'd think that I'd be afraid of bees after that but I am not. I'm respectful of them but not afraid of them. Now, snakes.....that's a whole 'nother story.

That's a SCARY story!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Love the Country Bears update! I really hope to fit it in on this trip! I have a lot in MK to try and fit in!! :lmao:

I was given some bug antiseptic at a conference one time and later found out it was hand sanitizer! Thing was that the lender had their logo on the tube and the rep had said it was bug antiseptic. It was funny when we realized we were using hand sanitizer on bug bites, but you know, the alcohol in it works great for itchy skin! So I use hand sanitizer now on bug bites when out and about! Silly story but it was embarrassing when we realized we were "duped"!! :lmao:

That picture of the bumble be is awesome!!!!!
I forgot about Johns obsession with the left over salad at Pecos. ICK!

Loving the update!!! My health has been great...thanks for asking! We have had a crazy few months!! We arrived at Disney on New Years day...and stayed the whole week. It was a good trip but my father-in-law has been very sick, he was diagnosed with brain cancer when we were in Disney in May. So we were worried about him on the trip...he passed away a week after we returned home from Disney. Then I had to go out of town for work meeting....the meeting was on a cruise...I know AWFUL!! LOl...The hubby went with me...when we got off the cruise...I asked him "What did you think?"...He Replied "It was fun, but it was No Disney World"....I LOVE THIS MAN!!!!!:lovestruc
Please know that your family has been in my prayers! Your next trip to Disney is almost here!!! YAY!!!!!
We are going back next November/December ish....I already can not wait!!

Hi Lisa,
Well it took over a week and I am waaaaay late but I finally made it through all your installments. OK, I admit I skipped the comments in between otherwise it may have taken me a month to read. I am not going to re-hash old history here but I want to tell you that it is a pure joy reading about your fun loving family. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. I especially get a kick out of your Mom who is absoultely wonderful and a character. I just love how she plays along whether it is making funny poses and/or faces, arm wrestling, the infamous choking etc. You are truly blessed to have shared these experiences together. Your commentary throughout the trip has been very entertaining :thumbsup2 and I am sorry to see that you are on your last day here.

Keeping specific comments to your last post, I have been to Disney 6 times and have yet to see the Country Bears but you have got me convinced that I need to make some time to see them next trip. Oh and my gosh that burger that John got at Pecos Bills looks delicious. We have never eaten there and I am now thinking that this is going to have to be a destination on our next trip as well.

After seeing those burgers I am officially hungry. Your fixture tray made me laugh! It's all organized! What's up with those big breaded onion rings on the burgers? Weird. It's like a weird way to add another couple hundred calories to an already calorie laden meal. OK, nuff about that.

Love you country bear pictures. I have NO pics from there. Hard to believe, but true. Maybe May I'll finally take some?

I think that shooting arcade is really cool. Nick and his cousin did in a couple of summers ago and they had a blast.

I want to be at the MK now!

The cake and invite are beautiful!!!! It's going to be a gorgeous wedding I'm sure. :goodvibes

Your Pecos Bills pictures made my stomach growl! I got the taco salad last time so I highly enjoyed that fixin's bar too. Yummmmmmy!

John got the taco salad year before last and it was just as good as the burger he ordered this time.

Love the pictures of the invites and cake. My 10 year old son is scared of birds. We were at Gatorland 3 years ago visiting the bird aviary and feeding them nectar. The birds land all over you and he was fine until one landed on his shoulder and pecked his ear. He threw the cups of nectar and ran for the door, with me following not knowing what had even happened yet. We had to go in the bathroom and get the bleeding stopped, then go to the concession for ice. It swelled quite a bit and he had a mark that looked like his ear was pierced for a while after. Now he won't go near anything like that and still talks about the bird that bit him.

Oh my word! I've seen the bird aviary thing on the Travel Channel but had no idea they would peck the guests. Poor thing, I'd be scared of birds too.

"Blood on the Saddle, Blood on the Ground" :rockband: Big Al is my favorite also. John's Burger is my favorite and is a must every trip.::yes::

"And a great big puddle of blood all around." Sing it baby!

I love the invitations and the cake too! They both look so natural and I love that. You got some great shots of the Country Bear Jamboree. That show is so campy that it is great! And I've never been in the Shooting Gallery so it was fun to see pictures. Maybe I'll pop my head in there next time. You have to pay extra for it, right? I think that is why we've never bothered.

The natural look is exactly what Lacey wanted.

I love the Country Bears because it is, as you say "campy". Who can't smile when they see all them there bears sanging a song.;)

Great invitations & cake! I love the photo you took with the bumblebee in it! I was laughing at your photo of the fixin's because all of that stuff on bread is basically the sandwich I get from Subway. My boss makes fun of me & calls it a "condiment special". :rotfl:
Every time you mention the fingernail story, I cringe. I definitely would have put sanitizer on, too. You just don't know where her fingers had been!

I really liked Lacey's choice of invitations and cake too.

Did you notice how much pollen the bumblebee had on his back legs? They were covered!

I told John about the "condiment special" and he had a good laugh over it.:rotfl2:

Didn't get on yesterday, I was a busy boy, we went to the boat sport and travel show In Indianapolis. The cake looks awesome, something that Buddy the cake boss might make. We love pecos bills. Unfortunatly the last time we ate there I was somewhat dehydrated so after the meal I wasn't feeling to good. ( had the taco bowl YUMMM!!!) and at around 4 in the morning I woke up and vomited in the resort. Needless to say I wasn't going to miss epcot that day and was fine the rest of the trip.

It sounds like you had a good time. I like going to those kind of events.

Pecos Bill's is one of our "must eat there" restaurants. Yuck to getting sick!

That's a SCARY story!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

It's amazing that I am not afraid of bees.

Love the Country Bears update! I really hope to fit it in on this trip! I have a lot in MK to try and fit in!! :lmao:

Country Bears is one of of our favorites.

You know good and well that they knew that wasn't bug antiseptic. But, like you said, at least the alcohol stopped the itching.

That picture of the bumble be is awesome!!!!!

Thank you! John loves those condiment salads!

I'm so glad to hear that you've been doing well. I've wondered about how you were doing. I hated to hear about your father-in-law.

I've talked with John about going on a cruise but I haven't talked him into it yet. Maybe one day.

Welcome! Better late than never, I always say.

My mother had so much fun in Disney that she's decided she's going back with us when we go in May. We are so blessed that we all get along so well and that we have so much fun together.

You haven't seen the Country Bears yet? What? You've got to see it at least once.

I had a taste of John's burger and it was really good. I think it was the sauce and the onion ring that made it so delish.

I love all of the condiments offered at Pecos Bill's. I've got to make sure I have everything order so I don't many any of the goodies.:thumbsup2

The onion ring actually added a little something extra to the burger.......calories! Just like you said.

What? You have no pictures of Country Bears? I thought you had awesome pictures of everything.

I am STILL really far behind on your TR (left off around pg. 100 or so when I disappeared and haven't gone back to read it), but have been keeping up with latest stuff!

I'm thinking, thanks to your TRs and others that I'm going to hit up Pecos on one of my MK days this year. Those burgers and fixin's just look too good to pass up (though, I may go for the famous Taco Salad instead, since I can get burgers elsewhere).

I also really liked Lacey's wedding stuff. Well, as much as I can like wedding stuff at least :p. The cards and invites were especially nice. Different, yet just formal looking enough.

Also good to hear that Mama is coming on the next trip too! I know how much you enjoyed having her on the last one she went on.

Hope all stays well!

Hi! I just finished reading all your TR and was disappointed to learn it's almost over. I love all your pictures. CBR looks so nice. We're staying there for the first time in Oct. and your TR makes it look like a good choice. :)

You definitely should give Pecos Bill's a try. The fixin's are the best part.

The wedding stuff is starting to take over our house. We have boxes in every corner it seems.

We are so happy that Mama has decided to go with us next trip. She was pretty iffy about it for a while there but now that she's made up her mind, she's thinking about all the stuff she didn't get to see.

Welcome! As I always say: Better late than never! Believe me when I tell you that the pictures do not do the CBR justice. It's absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to get back there in May.

The Shootin' Gallery was starting to get a little crowded so, after shooting up his last set of tokens, Hunter said he was done. We didn't really know what we wanted to do next so we meandered down the streets of Frontierland and took a left at the end of Pecos Bill's. Under the archway thingie we went and we came upon Pirates of the Caribbean.

102_4138-1.jpg

Look at this wait time.....well, it's kinda hard to see the wait time 'cause of the glare of sunshine on the sign...but it says 10 minutes:

102_4139-1.jpg

Who the heck can pass up a 10 minute wait time for Pirates of the Caribbean? "Not I!" said this band of pirates. And onward we went:

102_4140-1.jpg

I know that we walked quite a ways before we ever encountered the waiting guests and I guess I was snapping pictures along the way because, as you can tell from these next couple of pictures, I wasn't stopping to really take aim :rolleyes1:

102_4141-1.jpg

102_4142-1.jpg

We were soon boarding our boat and making our way through the mist:

102_4145-1.jpg

I had heard the story about George (I think that's his name.) who is a ghost on the Pirates attraction and I wanted to call out to him but Hunter thought I was nutso and told me not to. Instead, I settled for taking a picture to see if I could capture him in pictures:

102_4147-1.jpg

Hummmmmm......I don't see him. Maybe next time. But I did see this:

102_4151-1.jpg

102_4152-1.jpg

And this:

102_4153-1.jpg

:sad2: No, he wasn't kidding either. I guess his tummy was full from his condiment salad and he needed a little shut-eye.

As our boat came to a stop, John's eyes popped open and he was a fresh as a daisy and ready to check out the shop. How the heck does he do that? At home, I have to nudge, poke, prode and call his name at least three or four times before he wakes up.

Anyway, we looked around in the store for a while:

102_4155-1.jpg

102_4156-1.jpg

I can't tell you how many of the plastic swords Hunter has bought from this store. I bet it's at least a dozen. No lie! He refused to let me sell any of them in the garage sale and they are in a box in the attic somewhere. He says they have sentimental value. I don't remember us buying anything in the store but I do remember that I found this:

102_4157-1.jpg

After my potty break, we continued on through Adventureland:

102_4158-1.jpg

Hum, I guess we continued on without me taking pictures because that's the only one I have. Enough time had passed that we could now use our Peter Pan Fastpasses so we headed towards Fantasyland via the pathway around the castle:

102_4159-1.jpg

We walked around the castle to see the Fantasyland crowds! Yikes! I'm so glad that we had Fastpasses to Peter Pan.

102_4160-1.jpg

***I wanted to do a longer installment but I've got a client who is supposed to be here in about 10 minutes to sign her paperwork. Guess this is as good a place as any to stop.

No wait for POTC....YIPPEE!! Oh John...you and Isaiah should really get together and discuss the benefits of the power nap! :lmao:

It seems like that area of Fantasyland is always crowded! YIKES!

what great CLEAR pictures of POTC! last year it was a walk on for us too; the year before 35 min but at least it is one of those lines that really never stops and keeps on moving. YIKES! on the crowd in Fantasyland!! we have to ride PP this year...we missed it in April, we were suppose to go back and didn't due to a severe storm!

Somehow I missed Pecos Bill's fixin' station, will have to try it out again with the fixin's this time!

Love Lacey's cake and invitations. So pretty and earthy!:thumbsup2

I can see quite a few POTC swords in my future, as well. :rotfl: What's the story of George the ghost? I don't think I know that one.

We love POTC! My favorite part is when the woman is chasing the man around in circles!:lmao: I can just about see her whacking him with a frying pan!

I'm glad Mama has decided to join you again on your next trip. What things did she miss last time that she wants to see this time?

Awesome that you only had a 10 minutes wait for Pirates!
