Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Oh my goodness! I was SO far behind!! I was still back at your Hollywood Studios day.

Sadly, I couldn't see any of the pictures. From the DHS pics up until the return trip to DTD to return the magic "dud" cards, I only got the silly Photobucket message. So sad because I missed the choking pics and all of the luau and AK pics as well. :sad2:

So excited that Lacey will be able to join you on your trip! YAY!! And we absolutely LOVE POR! We loved walking to POFQ to get beignets and the boat to DTD is a real plus. I think you'll be happy with your choice. :thumbsup2

Well, I'm back on track and ready for more!! :goodvibes

Your ice pictures are beautiful! I bet many people down there were quiute scared and nervous about it all, that is some major weather for LA! Kinda nice to have a "surprise" day off though, right??? :goodvibes

I enjoyed all your "forgotten" and "lost" pictures! So nice that the magic shop replaced the cards quickly and without issue. And stunning CBR pictures. I want to go see that resort! I missed your previous update due to Photobucket...what day are your pictures supposed to be back? I'd like to check them all out! I want to see T-Rex because I'm keeping that as an idea for a walk-up next month or in March.

Thanks! for sharing your lost pictures! Sorry to hear you had to run to DTD for new cards, but very nice that it was a quick switch with no problems. ;)
love the pictures of CBR, I keep going back and forth between there and POFQ for our Sept trip (I have not made our ressies yet, I was hoping for a pin code...but, guess I'm getting one this go round).
Your ice pictures came out great! love the bird house shots! we did not get the sleet and ice only the cold rain. Although, it is sooooo cold here the last few days that I bet if we put out the water hose at night we could get some ice....brrrr! can't wait for the weekend when the 60's return.

Have a great day!!!

We are getting some snow here too. Just a couple inches, though ... I hope. I pray we don't see anywhere near what we got last year. And this pic is just of round one. A couple days later we got another 12 or so inches. Sheesh! And that lump in the background is the DH's full-sized SUV!

snow2010a008.jpg

Wow! That was us last year as well! One after the other! I thought the snow was going to be around till June! I think our overall snow total last winter was 79 inches!!! :scared1: I so hope it's not going to be like that again this winter! Today we just got 5 inches, so that is nothing! :lmao:

No laughing from me. I wish we DIDN'T have any type of winter -- we hate it and the reason we want to move to Florida in four years when Mark can leave his job (hopefully). I know I talked to a friend in CT and they've had about 20 inches so far last night/today and more was coming. I don't envy people with that amount of snow. We've actually been very lucky thus far this winter...a few storms here and there, but no major amounts of snow and no subzero temps...but it is ONLY January.

I have a PTR going (I was forced into it by some goofy men here on the DIS!).

Lisa or anyone else....do you know where I could purchase a Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter? At a store, not online since I kinda need it for next week! Thanks!!!

I may have another one at home in my "I may need another one of those someday" box. :rolleyes1 I'll look and see if I do.

Thank you so much Lisa! DD's birthday party is the 22nd, Minnie Mouse themed of course, and I just came across an idea to make something extra. Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats!!!! Sounds fun!

Hey Lisa, great ice pics!

We have been snowed in all week. Yesterday was the first day I ventured to work (unfortunately). Today, DH is home with the girls because schools are closed again.

The hill that we live on is just a sheet of ice and it's made it exciting trying to get out of the subdivision.

I left the North trying to get away from this junk! Dang it!!!

:lmao:

I loved your DTD pictures. I may have to go home and dig out the pictures from our first trip when DD was not even 2 yet. I'm in planning mode for September and we are considering heading there one day. Don't know if it will really happen or not.

Hi! I jumped over this afternoon from the May 2011 thread when I noticed we would be at WDW at the same time! I have only made it to page 25 but I have really enjoyed reading your TR! You must have been there slightly before us this past year! Your mom is tripping me out because she sounds so much like mine! She is going with us this year and I am so excited--and so is she which really makes it fun! Also she treats my DD just like you have described your mom treating Hunter!

Aside from our trips coinciding, the other thing that caught my attention and made me keep reading was your location. My husband's company is in Monroe (as a matter of fact he will be there tomorrow!) and we are very familiar with the area. And then you had pictures of Vicksburg....so close to home! :goodvibes

I haven't gotten far enough to see your plans and decision for POR but we stayed there last year and I did not want to because it would be like "home" but it was not! We loved it! As a matter of fact I credit POR for swaying my anti-Disney hubby into actually deciding to go with us again!!

Oh and we love to camp and a 4 hour drive for us is like taking a stroll! People think we are crazy because we think nothing of driving 15-17 hours to get somewhere! We love road trips! I kept thinking I was reading things I had written!! :rolleyes1:laughing:

Wow...sorry I rambled....I will go back to reading now!! :rotfl:

They have already called off school in our district for tomorrow! Expecting a foot or more of snow.

The schools were closed and the City and District Courts closed but it was mostly because there was ice on the overpasses. We've had some really bad ice storms years back where there was no power for days. Thankfully, we didn't have any of that.

I would just have a fit if there was a foot or more of snow here. The entire State of Louisiana would shut down for sure.:rotfl2:

UGH! This is when I completely wished I lived in the south!! Hahahaha, we just got over 2 feet of snow in 48 hours and it's like huh, just another day.. Now go to work. :lmao:

I used to work in Boston and my biggest client was in Buffalo New York. On April 1, 1997, there was a blizzard (no kidding) and I had to call the people I was working with and tell them we were closing the office early and we would be closed the next day. They thought we were a bunch of wimps!

I love the ice pictures!! It got cold here, but we didn't have any ice. I'm starting to get jealous about your May trip. I know we are going in March, but I'm gonna miss the May gang. We have been there in May since '08, and seeing your CBR pictures, makes me nostalgic for last year.

You do know that you could still go in May so we could meet up again. Is May totally out of the picture?

The ice can make for some beautiful photos. Terribly dangerous roads, but beautiful trees.

Also, is it just me being a total Disney freak, or are those hidden Mickeys on the top of that power/satellite tower?

I have no idea if there were hidden Mickeys there or not. Now, I'm going back to look.

Wow Lisa! That is extreme for down there. Currently it is snowing her yet again, for the 3rd time within a week! :scared1: We are getting another 8 inches! Fun times! ;) I'm so tired of it! This time last year was even worse! Below are pictures from Jan/Feb of 2010. I have yet to take any this year.

Holy smokes! I don't see how ya'll survive with all that snow. Seriously! We got our measly three inches this time last year and we thought we were in snow Heaven.

No laughing from me!! Though we can get cocky at times, us Canadians from way up North have a healthy respect for snow and ice. Just before Christmas there was a section of a highway in Southern Ontario (close to northern Michigan, Ohio and Western New York) that shut down for close to 2 days because of a very bad snowstorm. Emergency services couldn't get to people with their vehicles, so they were going out on snowmobiles. There was a very sad story of someone who left his car, and succumbed to the elements only 100 yards from the front door of his office building.

Even with all the danger that can come with these storms, in the calm that follows one can get some beautiful pictures. Love the ones you took!!

Oh that's so sad. Jesse lives in Tennessee and, while he was in Louisiana, they were getting some snow and icing in Tennessee. When he left our house, we made him put blankets, water, a flashlight and snacks in his car. He probably thought I was nutso for making him do it but I wanted him to be prepared just in case he got stuck somewhere.

BTW Lisa, it looks like we are just barely going to miss each other in May. :sad1:

Oh no! What are your travel dates?

Hi Lisa i'm still here. I'm having computer issues AGAIN:headache: I haven't been able to get online in almost 2 weeks so I went and bought a lap top but for some reason I can't get my photo bucket pictures to post. I'll have to wait until the desk top comes back from the computer doctor.

I can see your pictures on the last 2 pages but not from page 118 and up. I'll keep checking back.

I'm so sorry to hear about Lacy's Jeep but I'm glad she has some one looking out for her!

I didn't laugh at your ice pictures. I'm from South Carolina so I know how you feel. It looks like you had a little more ice then we did but I thought it looked like a winter wonderland too.

I can't wait to hear more of your trip and I hope I get to see the pictures.

I have exceeded the bandwidth on one of my photobucket accounts and that's why you can't see some of them. Hopefully they will be back up soon.

Isn't it funny how a little ice and snow can make us Southerners feel so good.

Not to turn this into the weather thread or anything, but our weather forecaster just mentioned that there is currently snow in 49 of the states- Florida is the only one with no snow.

I saw that too! I wonder how often that happens?

Hopefully, my pictures will come back up soon and you can go back and look. I will look and see if I have the choking pictures on my office computer and if I do, I'll repost them for you.

I was happy when Lacey said she'd like to go to Disney with us again. She and Jesse were originally going to honeymoon in Disney but decided they wanted something more quiet.

I am looking forward to trying POR now that we have actually booked it. It looks like a really pretty resort.

Your ice pictures are beautiful! I bet many people down there were quiute scared and nervous about it all, that is some major weather for LA! Kinda nice to have a "surprise" day off though, right??? :goodvibes

Oh yeah! There was talk of shutting down schools even before the sleet and freezing rain got here.:rotfl:

I was happy that the magic shop didn't give me any problems returning the cards but we only had them a few hours so I don't see how they could have really fussed about it anyway.

I am not sure what day my pictures are supposed to be back up. I may have the T-Rex pictures on my office computer and if I do I'll upload them to another photobucket account and post them for you. It's a nice place to eat adn I think Henry would love it.

Thanks! for sharing your lost pictures! Sorry to hear you had to run to DTD for new cards, but very nice that it was a quick switch with no problems. ;)

You should try the CBR. I think Ashton would love it and Danny would too since he likes beach vacations.

I had to take the bird house pictures because I take pictures of them all throughout the year. My daddy made those birdhouses and they have been there for years and years so they are special to me.

No laughing from me. I wish we DIDN'T have any type of winter -- we hate it and the reason we want to move to Florida in four years when Mark can leave his job (hopefully). I don't know if I could stand 20 inches of snow! I know it would be fun for a little while but I am not a cold weather kinda gal.

Lisa, can I ask a favor?!? can I post a link and ask all your followers to give Ashton a vote for the Disney contest? (since I don't have a thread at the moment)

Please vote every 24 hrs!! Thanks!

Oh! and if your answer is no I'll come by and edit it out ;)
Thanks! :wave2: Connie

Absolutely have no problem with you posting the link here. As a matter of fact, I've already voted for him!

We live on the other side of a steep hill which means to get out of the neighborhood, I have to go up the hill and the back down again. It's never fun during the icy weather.

If you have time in your Disney schedule, you should make a trip to DTD. Even if you're not a shopping person, there's still plenty of stuff to look at. And, don't forget the free chocolate samples at Ghiardelli's.:thumbsup2

We have got to be sisters from another mister because we have soooo much in common! I love how the Disboards connect people who live nearby you and you didn't even know it.
